Absolutely..Memphis would give up ZBo in a heartbeat for an expiring deal. But what team would want ZBo? Memphis wants Pau.

If we trade Asik for Jeff Green, Brandon Bass, and a first rounder that would honestly be incredible and would make this team incredibly deep and talented. I do like Jeff Green in the starting line up at the 4 with Terrence Jones (split minutes) and I have liked both JG and Brandon Bass while watching last year's Celtics. I think those two and Rondo make a promising core and it was bizarre to read that trade option. However, I do think it would fit into the team's plans to do this trade and then flip Brandon Bass, the 1st rounder, and maybe another asset (player or pick) for Spencer Hawes to acquire both Spencer Hawes and Jeff Green into our line up. This would leave us with Beverley, Harden, Parsons, Green, and Howard as the starting line up Lin, Casspi, Garcia, Jones, Hawes as the secondary and virtually EVERY single player would compliment each other. Hawes goes in for Green, perfect for Howard. Lin goes in for Beverley...well we have seen the success. Green provides fantastic perimeter defense. Parsons is underrated once again as a perimeter defender (He and Beverley get a bad rep from letting their man blow passed them but honestly they do realize they have Howard behind them) Spencer Hawes becomes a fantastic option against the likes of Memphis and the Spurs with a starting line up of Beverley, Harden, Parsons, Hawes, and Howard What can possibly be better for a win now mentality and one that is destined for long term success (barring injuries)?
Why not...??? Charlotte is looking like they are going to be a playoff team so that 1st round pick will be outside of the lottery. And Asik and Big Al would be a dominating frontcourt in the east. They could push for the 3-4 seed. Small price to pay. Question is if Chicago would want Lin and if Philly would want MKG...
