    1. Kevin Martin + Parsons + some 2nd rounders for Durant
    2. Lamb + Brockman for Harden
    3. Asik+Livingston for Marc Gasol
    4. Lin+Patterson+Tony Douglas for Kevin Love
    5. Marcus Morris + Toronto pick for Kyrie Irving

    Kyrie-Harden-Durant-Love-Gasol.
That's a good team, and you'd keep Motiejunas, Terrence Jones and Royce White.
    I don't see why not.

    No.

    From ESPN trade machine-

    -reg OKC salary cap-

The aggregate outgoing salaries are less than or equal to 9.8 million and therefore they can only accept the incoming aggregate salaries that don't exceeded 150% plus $100,000. The incoming salaries are greater than 150% plus $100,000. Cut $4,615,435 from the Thunder incoming trade value to make this trade successful.

If you want a similar trade like this to work for Harden then this is probably more realistic-
    ....................................................................................................
Rockets trade- Kevin Martin, S. Livingstone, Toronto 1st rounder 2 second round picks/or Dallas future 1st rounder

Rockets recieve- James Harden, K. Perkins
    ...................................................................................................
    Jazz trade- A. Jefferson

Jazz recieve- Kevin Martin, D. Cook, Dallas 1st round pick or2 second round picks
    .....................................................................................................
OKC trade- James Harden, K. Perkins

OKC recieve - A. Jefferson, S. Livingstone, Toronto 1st round pick

    ....................................................................................................

Trade works & Salaries match, and OKC & Utah both get a deal that actually benefits them financially.

    ....................................................................................................
-For Utah, this deal makes the least amount of sense, which is why they will need draft picks or a nice first rounder to make it worth their while. They are essentially swapping expiring for expiring in this case. Getting Kevin Martin and Cook to help out their backcourt will be nice, but both will not be considered future building blocks. The first round pick is essential here. Salary cap affects are minimal. Potentially only 500K difference which Houston can also add cash considerations to the deal to make up.
    .....................................................................................................
-For OKC- This is a double wammy. They might already be thinking about giving up Harden anyways due to the fact that Presti might not want to give Harden a max deal next year. This is a great time to capitalize on the situation. You get rid of Perkins contract, replace him with a more than adequate big man who can help now, and add great low post scoring(something that will make Durant that much more unstoppable).

Plus the salary cap considerations of getting rid of Perkins are great for keeping their core group together for the next decade. They also get the Toronto first rounder which will most likely be a guaranteed lottery pick. Nice piece to add to an already solid contending core for many years to come.
    ....................................................................................................
-For the Rockets- You get a young stud in Harden who should be an all-star in the next year or so, plus you get a terrific defensive big man rotation in the middle. All this for giving up a player who you would probably amnesty anyways if you had a second one to give out, and two first round picks(albeit good ones).

The Salary cap considerations are really pretty minimal. Harden will be extended at a max level contract and Perkins has two nasty years at roughly 9M each year after this next one left. However, that being said, the Rockets will still only end up with roughly 48M in guaranteed salary in 2013/14 with this aquisition, and thats WITH a max contract Harden.

However in 2014/2015, the Rockets are looking at a dilemma with the Lin/Asik Poison pill contracts. Without further aquisitions you are looking at roughly 64M in guaranteed contracts. Since three of their large contract players would be expiring that season, I dont see it being extremely difficult to get below the salary cap at the end of that season. The flexibility is still pretty decent all things considered.

    2012/13 Training camp Roster-

    PG- Lin, Douglas, Machado, Fortson
    SG-Harden, Lamb, Delfino
    SF-Parsons, Morris, Forbes
PF- Patterson, Motiejunas, Jones, White, Johnson, Brockman
    C- Asik, Perkins, Smith

cut before season start- Fortson, Brockman, Smith, Johnson

Rockets send Kevin Martin, Patterson to the Thunder.

Thunder send their first rounder, Cole Aldrich, a 2nd round pick, and Kendrick Perkins.

Ideally, I'd rather the Rockets flip Perkins or we get a third team involved.

We take on money, in exchange for draft picks.

As for the Thunder, they free up some room to re-sign Harden with Martin's expiring. Plus, they get a servicable big man for the bench or possibly a starting spot (alongside Ibaka) to replace Perkins. Furthermore, the Thunder get to have a nice look at Martin- and a 1-2-3-4 punch of the Big 3 and Martin would wreak havoc in the playoffs.

it seems like an overkill for a late 1st.

It depends mostly on how much you (and Thunder) value Aldrich. He didn't look bad in his very limited minutes, solid stats and solid defensive effort. He might become a solid backup for them, maybe even a starter when Perkins gets amnestied

IN Tyrus Thomas, B Mullens, J Taylor & a first round pick
OUT Patterson, Matin, Morris & cash

Bobcats They shed themself of T.Thomas (26M/3yrs) contact and sillyness. They pick up a better player and fit with Kidd-Gilchrist in Patterson and scoring from Martin which would help MKG along with Gordon is not playing well. Plus the hope of Morris with a fresh start. They don't draft well anyway.

Rockets Pay 8+M/ 3yrs for a first round pick in Thomas (6'8" power forward) contract - let him walk. We get a back up center and combo gaurd, to round out this year's roster.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=9r28uyo

Rockets receive: Xavier Henry, Twolves lotto protected pick, Warrick, top 10 protected Hornets pick

    Wolves receive: Kevin Martin

Hornets receive: Ridnour, Williams, Charlotte 2nd rounder

    Followed up by:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=98b96ag

Rockets receive: two 2nd round picks from Cleveland, Kousta Koufos

    Cavaliers receive: Patrick Patterson

    Nuggets receive: Varejao, Gary Forbes

This gives Houston a lineup of:

    Lin/Machado
    Lamb/Henry
    Parsons/White
    Motiejuanas/Jones/Warrick
    Asik/Koufos

As well as two decent 1st round picks and two 2nd rounders that can easily be packaged for a late 1st rounder. We clear up some up the clutter in the roster, get picks and some young guys, and have a better path to tanking (making Hornets, Nuggets, and Wolves all better while we get worse in the short run).

the Wolves would never do Williams + pick for Kevin Martin.
The 2nd trade seems bad for the Rockets.

Woah... thats a mega bad trade. I dont see the point in the entire thing, other than the fact that you just want to get rid of Martin, & Patterson for nothing. Even then, you are probably better off just waiving both of them.

Morey stated just the other day that the Bobcats 2nd rounder actually has better trade value than a 1st round pick with heavy protection.

Martin is key to any major deal that might occur in February. Its important that Morey holds on to him until then just in case. He can always move him then for nothing, or at least a few second round picks.

Patterson is also a player whose value will benefit greatly from the first half of the season given that he's probably going to be starting and playing heavy minutes. He will have a large role on this team at first, and his stats could reap the benefits of higher trade value later in the season.

The truth of the matter is that no one will trade anything with Houston...unless

    1. One of their players wants out!
    2. Our players are something they will covet..
    3. They player is gonna be too expensive to keep

A player like Love, Aldridge or Hortford would have to request to be traded... Our team really needs a high scoring PF. I would love Lemarcus here...but why would Portland do that(unless he wants to leave)?

What if things flame out in Minny with Love and he sees nothing happening...will he demand a trade??

Hortford would be a nice addition, but are you really gonna see him command a double team in the post?

I really would love Aldridge here...but your Rockets squad is gonna be the same...unless one of these aforementioned players says otherwise...

Note: Salary Cap consideration not fully addressed, please feel free to adjust trade accordingly

    Outgoing
    Minnesota:Williams, Ridnour
    Houston: Martin, Patterson
    Portland: Lemarcus

    Incoming:
    Houston: Aldridge
Portland: Williams and Ridnour, Toronto Pick?
    Minnesota: Martin , Patterson

Why does Minny do it? cant keep Love and Williams, and gets a spot up shooter who can take pressure off Love and fits well in Adelmans system.

Why does Houston do it? Desperate for scoring PF and he has Texas ties

Why does Portland do it? They are already looking at being one of the bottom dwellers for the season, might as well get picks, and build around Lilliard and Williams

    Rockets Lineup:
    C -Asik
    PF - Lemarcus
    SF - Chandler
    SG - Lamb
    PG - Lin

Bench: Montejunas, White, Jones, Livingston(cut?), Machado, Delfino, Douglas, Morris, JJohnson

i like this one much more, it makes some sense. If Aldridge was 3-4 years older, i think it could happen. But you don't trade a 27yo rising old star for a guy whose upside is basically a shorter version of Aldridge. it's less than 6 years of age difference and it's not certain Williams will get there, not worth it.

also, keep in mind, Paul Allen fired the last GM who suggested a full scale rebuilding process.

No way Portland trades Aldridge unless he asks out of town. He seems like a stand up guy who wouldn't do such a thing. Plus I think Lillard is going to be a standout future stud that might keep the future somewhat bright for them even though, lets face it.... they are going to suck even with Aldridge.
