Would you guys give up the farm if OKC made James Harden avilable? With their recent Ibaka signing, I don't think they can afford to sign Harden to a max contract. So I thinking at the trade deadline, they are gonna take the temp. of the situation and if they can't sign him to a cheaper deal, imo they would explore what they can get for him. I would trade all our picks and everyone except for Lamb.

harden is like a Manu 2.0. Manu is slightly better but there's an age gap. Manu will decline over the years.. But harden will only get better from here.. Harden Is only 22 years old and only played 30 mins a game and was 6th man of the year.

I guess you don't follow basketball much. He was the 3rd overall pick, and if he wasn't playing behind 2 superstar players he would of been one himself by now.

I think the idea of giving up the farm for Harden is a good one. But SURELY one of the first people you'd give them would be Lamb?!?!?!?

IF they want to move Harden on (for salary purposes) then a package of Lamb, White, Motie or Jones, Tor pick, Dal pick and our 'first available' pick would have to make them think seriously.

lol hes 22 and play behind 2 superstars. Where else would you go as the 3rd option. Last years final when the heat lost. Lebron disappeared in the finals as the 1st/2nd option.

Add an unrestricted 2013-2014 first round draft pick going Houston's way

    Why Chicago does it
Get much needed cap relief by dumping Deng and Boozer
    Build around Rose, Gibson, Noah
Get a proven scorer in Martin for this upcoming season while Rose is out
Get nice young prospects in Patterson, Morris, and Jones

    Why Houston does it
Compete for the championship this upcoming season
Groom the rooks behind a formidable front court
    Get an unrestricted draft pick

    Lin/Douglas/Fortson
    Lamb/Delfino
    Deng/Parsons/Simpson
    Boozer/White
    Asik/Motiejunas/Smith

That line-up is not competing for a title.....that line-up will be lucky to win 3 playoff games. Terrible trade.

Super band-aid move. Sadly, its a move I could see happening since we won't tank ever.

Its Friday at work, and I have 45 minutes or so to kill-

    So here goes-

Rockets trade- Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas, & Toronto Pick

OKC Thunder trade- James Harden, Tabo Sefolosha, DeQuan Cook

    LA Lakers trade- Pau Gasol

    ...............................................................................................

Rockets recieve- Pau Gasol, James Harden

OKC Recieve- Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Tony Douglas, Toronto Pick

LA Lakers recieve- Tabo Sefolosha, S. Livingstone, D. Cook

    ...............................................................................................

    Why Houston does this-

You are looking an overnight revamped roster that might be able to go deep in the playoffs, AND you loose virtually none of your highly touted rookies Lamb/D-Mo/ etc. Maybe this isn't the big 3 any of us thought we needed to win a title, but it sure is an interesting one with many other players on the roster who have the potential to also be all star calliber players.

I know this team isn't necessarily a contender yet, but its young, its super talented, and you have a big man an unselfish, talented, facilitating big man who is going to make all of the young players much, much better playing off of him in Gasol. I know he's older, well payed, and doesn't seem to make much sense if you "want" to tank, but his skillset makes the young guys alot better on the basketball court, and really completes McHales system. There is a case to be made for Gasol. Harden kinda sells itself.

    Why OKC does this-

Harden is all but gone next summer. He's going to command a max level contract that Presti might not think he's worth. Sub in a veteran proven scoring machine like Kevin Martin instead who would be happy to resign for less next summer and you have not only made up for Harden's scoring off the bench, but you might have actually improved the scoring ability of adding on a HEALTHY Kevin Martin. Patterson brings another solid post player, and defender to their rotation.

Also this might give OKC the inclination to go ahead and amnesty Perkins. Plus that Toronto pick could be enticing for Presti to get a solid young lottery pick to add to the mix next year as someone who can contribute right away and come at the price of a rookie scale contract.

    Why the Lakers do this-

Gasol is the odd man out and the Lakers want to give Howard more room in the paint to operate. Gasol at 18M a year serves no purpose when you could have a guy like A. Jamison sit out and knock down open 3's at the veteran's minimum. Also major cap savings benefits. Plus, a solid wing stopper in Sefolosha who can start at the SF spot if you wish. Dwight Howard is going to need more 3 point shooters as welll and D. Cook will thrive playing off of him. Seems like a great fit.

    ....................................................................................

    Rockets 12/13 Roster-

    PG- Lin, Machado, Fortson
    SG- Harden, Lamb, Forbes
    SF- Parsons, Delfino, Morris
    PF- Gasol, D-Mo, White, Jones
    C- Asik, Smith

    -Brockman, Johnson traded or cut
