Can't reacquire an amnestied player while he still under the contract you signed him to. For some reason the trade machine took this restriction off of Scola (used to be on there). Unfortunately, we cannot reacquire him through trade. We can only get him if he gets bought out by PHX.

Asik has no value in this deal.

Two trades that I think make our team significantly better. I'm sure it would need some changes so let me know what you think.

    TRADE 1:
Milwaukee In: Jeremy Lin, Rights to Kostas Papanikolaou, HOU 2014 & 2015 2nd Rounders
    Houston In: Ersan Ilyasova

Why Milwaukee does it: Jennings is not very good, and it looks like the Bucks won't overpay him so they need a PG. Jeremy Lin not only brings in revenue, but he's very solid and could do very well being the primary ball handler. A pick is a pick. They want Kostas:
    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>The <a href="https://twitter.com/PelicansNBA">@PelicansNBA</a> and the <a href="https://twitter.com/Bucks">@Bucks</a> want Kostas Papanikolaou of <a href="https://twitter.com/olympiacosbc">@olympiacosbc</a> and they have until Monday to sign him <a href="http://t.co/y2V9lOVic5">http://t.co/y2V9lOVic5</a></p>&mdash; Eurohoops.net (@Eurohoopsnet) <a href="https://twitter.com/Eurohoopsnet/statuses/355706490885115906">July 12, 2013</a></blockquote>

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Report: Bucks Interested in European Prospect Kostas Papanikolaou <a href="http://t.co/SlZTBD9prF">http://t.co/SlZTBD9prF</a></p>&mdash; Behind the Buck Pass (@BehindTheBucks) <a href="https://twitter.com/BehindTheBucks/statuses/355997210682470401">July 13, 2013</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

    TRADE 2:
New Orleans In: Omer Asik, Terrence Jones, 2015 and 2017 1st Rounders, 2014 2nd Rounder (from NY)
    Houston In: Jrue Holiday

Why New Orleans does it: They just traded for Jrue, so it would take an offer they can't refuse to trade him away but this might just represent that. New Orleans wants Asik so they can slide Anthony Davis to PF for a dominant defensive duo. T-Jones is a solid prospect. Two future 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder. Not as much as it sounds since we will be a good team, but that is more than they gave up to get Holiday in reality (No. 6 pick and 2014 future 1st). They have Tyreke, Gordon, and Rivers that are all capable of playing point so if they got what they feel like is a big need (center) and then some (picks/Jones) filled, it might be worth flipping Holiday.

Why Houston does them: We have to mortgage a bit of our future to make this work, but it would definitely be worth it. We get Ilyasova who is probably the best fit possible next to Dwight as a stretch 4. Great 3 point shooter, solid rebounder, decent size (6'10"), and solid defender. They also get Jrue Holiday. I don't need to get too deep into it, but he was an all-star last year. If we were to get these players, I think it would be worth it to lose a lot of our picks and a few valuable players over the next few years.

Been reading most of these trades have us including our 2014 first round pick; if I remember correctly we can't trade picks two years in a row and since we traded the '13 pick, we can't trade the '14 pick.

I might agree on Detroit. Their problem is they have a very crowded front court, and an extremely weak backcourt. Monroe for Barnes helps even this out, and DMo is a good fit with Drummond and/or Josh Smith.

GSW does Asik for Barnes every day and twice on Sunday. No way they could expect a better return or a better fit.

That's great to hear! It means we have the assets to pull something off. What would you be okay with giving up in this trade?

Lin to Philly for Jason Richardson makes too much sense for both teams.

Not sure I like us trading away our starting point guard for an old man to come off the bench with no replacement at point.

What's exactly to like about this deal? We lose our starting pg for an old backup. No thanks.

As a dual Warriors-Rockets fan, no way the Warriors do that.

Not at all. Even if it was favorable for them (which I just don't see) it's not even a 'hands down' deal.

Good luck keeping an allegiance to both of those teams that are turning into bitter rivals.

I think the trade for Holiday has around equal value.. However, I don't think we would be getting all star level player value out of Holiday. We really just need a role player PG because of how Harden plays (unless its Stephen Curry :D), but a better PF would be nice.
