True. Still, it's a decent contract. Outside of the first month, he scored as efficiently as ever, shot .400 from 3 and played good D. He had a lesser role than he did in Houston but he didn't really have a worse year.

I hesitate to call it a bad contract, I think that's the type of piece that you shop to contenders and hope to get a pick in return.

Either way, it's definitely not bad enough where you'd give up an All Star (Rondo) in the deal to get rid of it.

Portland wants Asik in that deal. They say no. Good idea though. Hate to give up that 1st next year though.

Rondo is bad for the locker room, end of story.

It is always my pleasure to have an open mind and start discussions. I think it says quite a bit more about you and others that you choose to belittle me based on a question I pose.

    Please explain.

I'm in the camp that Dwight won't end up coming here, in large part, because he feels Harden would steal his thunder. He wants to play with a facilitator, not with a guy who will end up taking half the game-winning attemps he feels he should be taking himself.

Because Rondo just blew his knee out and no one knows what type of player he will be when he returns. That's one explanation amongst many.

And I don't believe Alexander nor Morey would want to trade Harden to make room for Howard.

    That's certainly a valid counter-argument. Respect.

No it doesn't. Throwing all stars together doesn't guarantee a championship and doesn't always work. How good was Pippen for the Rockets.

If Aldridge costs Josh Smith + late 1st + mediocre prospect, then Atlanta would probably want to make a similar offer to Portland themselves and get Aldridge.

Aldridge/Horford would be a pretty awesome pairing.

We need LaMarcus Aldridge. He's been in purgatory for years. He's the big man that Harden and Lin (as long as he's on the team) need. A big man with an offensive skill set like McHale had. With LMA on the court either Harden or Lin will average double digit assist and or both would come close to it.

I love Asik but if trading him, Parsons, and Robinson will get it done _ do it. And try to get Leonard as well. Sign Kyle Koover, Martell Webster, or bring back Garcia and let T-Jones back up the 3 & 4 positions. And sign O'Neil, Samuel, or Greg Oden to a cheap deal.

And let Lin's value go up and trade him and D-Mo to Sacramento for DMC by the trade deadline.
