    Suns / Rockets

    Hill, Patterson, Dragic, and Budinger
    ...for...
Lopez, Morris and PHX '12 2nd round

    Fair for both teams?

Hill and Dragic not signed for next year but neither is Lopez (they need a back-up point and we need a center) - Lopez is a poorman's Joakim Noah without all the sillyness
Patterson > Morris for now but in 2 years ??? plus marketing the twins
Budinger = 2nd high round pick
    over all even?

    Thoughts?

My dream scenario would be to trade for Iggy...

You give Scola, Courtney, and the Knicks pick.

    Lowry Dragic
    Kmart Bud
    Iggy Parsons
    PPat Hill
    Bear Hill

That's a top 4 team in the West for sure

Philly's weakest position is SG while their strongest positions are PG & PF. They've also got all that salary committed at PF.

Step 1.First Rox trade PatPat, Dragic, K Mart and NY Pick to C’s for Rondo, Dooling and stiemstma(filler).http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=83abxhb

Step 2Then trade Lowry and Scola for Pao and a pick.
    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6u4ab7g

    Step 3. Profit.
    Rotation
    Rondo/dooling/ flynn
    Lee/ Bud/ Twill
    Parsons/ Bud/ Twill
    Pao/ Hill/
    Dalembert/ Hill/Stiemstma

Could also bring up Smith and Morris.(or sign back the chin!)

Not instant contenders but Morey has proven he can find good role players late in drafts or free agency.

I posted this in another thread, but I REALLY like it....

I'll play third wheel in sending Pau to Minnie (i sure as heck dont want his contract)...

Hou out - Scola, Dragic, Bud
    in DWill, Beasley, Goudelock

Minn out - Beasley, Dwill, Darko
Minn in - Pau and Bud

    Lakers out - Pau, Goudelock
Lakers in - Scola, Darko, Dragic

Tell me thats not great for every team!

Minn become instant contenders w Pau/Love/Rubio plus if theyre gonna pay Gasols salary: they have a cheap Bud and arent gonna be able to resign Beasley anyway. In addition to Pau still have 2 centers (Pek/Miller) - so Darko is no loss...

Lakers get the pg upgrade they need and get Scola/Darko for 5M less than Gasol - giving them some depth

We get some youth to grow on...
Klow/Flynn/Goudestock (2 yrs cheap -he got off a few nights ago)
    Kmart/Clee
    Beasley/Parsons/Twill/Morris
    PPat/DWill
    Sam/JHill/Thabeet

theres 101 combos that will help all parties involved!

if we could then turn the expirings into Kamen...
    Klow/Goudestock
    Kmart/Clee
    Beasley/Parsons/Morris
    PPat/DWill
    Sam/Kamen
THATS solid with growth potential - and still room for a superstar or more depending on resigning Kamen, Beasley and CLee

If LA would rather have flexibility of JHills expiring rather than taking on Darkos - better for us!
    Hou out Scola/Dragic/Hill/Bud
    in DWill/Darko/Beasley/Goudelock

    Minn out Beasley/Dwill/Darko
    in Pau/Bud

    Lakers out Pau/Goudelock
    in Scola/JHill/Dragic

plus draft picks can be scattered wherever needed...

You think LA would trade Pau for just Scola and Dragic? They would want Lowry too.

    and Darko....
    Bynum/Darko
Scola/Murphy.....gives them depth they dont have now
Dragic is an upgrade to their existing pgs
Plus us or minnie can throw em a pick or two...
Dont let the Lakers fool ya - they wanna dish Gasols 18.7M/yr contract sooner rather than later...

Ya but Darko's contract is terrible.

I still think they demand Lowry in return or Martin.

    If they want Martin too...
    LakersScola/Kmart/Dragic
    Minnie gets Pau/Bud
we take Beasley/Dwill/Pekovic from Minnie and Goudelock from LA

works on trade machine... leaves us thin on SG (behind CLee) but adds some young talent to grow with.... then trade JHill and other expirings for a bu sg...

    Klow/Goudelock
    Clee/?
    Beasley/Parsons/Morris
    PPat/Dwill/Smith
    Sam/Pekovic

not gonna win us a championship now - but alot of younger talent with upside...

I'd do that and seems fair. I assume Hill was heading to LALA. And it would give us a small window to see it TWill was worth that pick.

    yet another option...

    Lakers out Pau/Goudelock
    in: Scola/Pekovic/Dragic

    Minn out DWill/Beasley/Pekovic
    in Pau/Bud

    Hou out Scola/Bud/Dragic
    in DWill/Beasley/Goudelock

This third wheel with Pau to Minnie is really a great option with sooooo many possibilities...

The Lakers shed gasols huge contract, downgrading to Scola (saving 10M) but adding a pg upgrade they need in Dragic + getting a solid bu center with upside...
Minnie gets a solid 3 (Rubio/Love/Pau) to contend for a couple years (while shedding $ to pay Pau - getting a cheap Bud)
We get young talent and shed Scola's contract for cheaper youth...

Lowry = 19.7 PER this year
    Rondo = 19.9 PER

    They are very close statistically

Rondo would be terrible for us, if you watch any Celtic games teams leave him wide open for jump shots and 3s and he wouldn't shoot.

Better penetrator, better passer, more athletic, taller, better defender (can guard more positions), about equal reb's (slight edge to Lowry)
Lowry is absolutely the superior shooter though.
Also in my quote I didn't say that would be the only move, but one in a series of them.
