If i was DM I'd be burnign the phone and convincing Sperm to trade Gordon away for Kevin Martin+tother stuff. I'd even eb willing to part with Patterson and the 2012 pick. Then we just trade Morris+Lee for Batum and we're all set. Lowry/Dragic Gordon/T-will (?) Batum/Parsons Scola/Hill Dalembert/Hill
My suggestion is that you guys come up with trades of Scola, Lowry, Martin, etc. that would bring back players that Orlando would want for Dwight. For instance, Martin to Indy, Granger and Scola and Dally plus expirings to Orlando for Dwight, Hedo, and junk. Or Scola and Lowry to the Lakers for Pau and the Lakers first rounder so we can send Pau, Martin, Dally, expirings to Orlando for Dwight, Hedo, bad contracts. How about Dally, Martin to Indy for Granger, Hibbert, and Foster's expiring deal? Then Hibbert, Scola, Granger, Lowry, expirings to Orlando for Dwight etal.? Come up with creative trade that would give us pieces to give Orlando for Dwight.

Rockets out - SammyD, Martin, Scola, Drigic and Parsons in - Okafor, Wallace, Henry Poprtand out - Wallace in - SammyD, Gordon NOH out - Okafor, Gordon, Henry in - Scola, Martin, Dragic, and Parsons and Rockets - Hill, T-Will, Budinger and our 1st rounder pick if it happens ...for... Suns - Lopez, Morris and their 2nd round pick
Lowry, Dalembert, plus Scola for Dwight should work now. After that our starting lineup would look like this. Dwight Patterson Parsons Martin Dragic Flip Martin, 1st round pick, Dragic, and Morris for Deron Williams Lineup looks like Dwight Patterson Parsons Lee Deron Williams We have other guys to possibly throw in like Budinger or Lee in any of those trades. Maybe even Donatus Montajunas or Parsons. Switch around any guys to and we still have a good starting rotation and some bench players.
I like this trade. It helps us for the rest of the season and doesn't hurt us going into next year. I'd rather keep the 1st rd pick and send Morris and receive Moore as well. Extend Lee, bring over Motiejunas, and draft Leonard. New beginning for the Rockets 2012-13 season!!
2 deals Houston - New Jersey New Jersey trade - D.Will Houston trade - Lowry, Bud, filler( Thabeet & Flynn ) +unprotect Houston 2012 1st round draft pick, +2nd round Minnesota draft pick, rights to Sergio Llull Houston - Orlando - Indiana Orlando trade - D.Howard, Turk Houston trade - K.Martin, Dragic, Scola, Dalembert, + NYK 2012 draft pick, rights to Motiejunas Indiana trade - Granger Orlando in - Granger, Scola, Dalembert, NYK 2012 draft pick, rights to Motiejunas Houston in - D.Howard, Turk Indiana in - K.Martin, Dragic Houston D.Howard / J.Hill Pat / J.Hill Parsons / Morris Lee / T.Will D.Will / T.Will New Jersey B.Lopez / Petro Humphries / S.Williams Bud / S.Williams M.Brooks / Morrow Lowry / Flynn Orlando Dalembert / G.Davis Scola / R.Anderson Granger / Q.Richardson J.Richardson / Redick Nelson / Duhon Indiana Hibbert / Foster D.West / Hansbrough P.George / D.Jones K.Martin / G.Hill Collison / Dragic
How about this 4 teams trade: ORL recieve: Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, Jarrett Jack, Trevor Ariza, Brook Lopez NJN recieve: Dwight Howard NOH recieve: Ryan Anderson, Quentin Richardson, Goran Dragic, Hasheem Thabeet HOU recieve: Hedo Turkoglu, Jordan Farmar, Mehmet Okur, NJ's 1st rounder('12&'14) ORL's senario: They do not want young prospects in exchange for Dwight. A title contending team is just what they want because not so much time is left for their owner, there is no time for the Magic to wait young prospects develop into something. Jack-Martin-Ariza-Scola-Lopez with Nelson-Redick-JRich-Clark-Davis on the bench would be very nice. Maybe stronger than current roster. The only worries are that this Magic team is organized by almost whole new members, so perhaps they need little time to adjust. NJN's senario: They finally get Dwight. That's all. NOH's senario: To keep the roster competitive, the Hornets will have to bring in Gordon's partner. Gordon and Ryan will build good relation ship, especially their P&R game would be dangerous. HOU's senario: We cut tied with Martin and Scola, who are No.1 & No.2 option on the offensive end of this team. This means we are no longer playoff team. Instead of that, we get the chance to rebuild the team with young talents. With NYK's #1 and NJN's #1 (and maybe HOU's #1 also goes to the lottery), it seems that we have at least two lottery picks in this deep draft (hope NJ dont make the playoff). Then draft a big and a swingman (like drummond and Barnes), and we are set to the bright future. In summer free agency, sign Nicolas Batum(RFA) and Boris Diaw, and re-sign Courtney Lee and Jordan Hill (if possible). The roster will be: PG:Lowry/Farmar SG:Batum/Lee SF:Turkoglu/parsons/Budinger PFiaw/Pattesron/Morris C alembert/(Hill) +3 first rounders
Hmm if the bD experiment becomes a fail I wonder if we can convince NYC to trade us Landry Fields for Johnny Flynn. Flynn still has a lot of rep from being a top 5 lottery pick, and considering Felton looked like Steve Nash in D' Antoni's system they might be fooled into trading for him. NYC is screaming "get a pg!", who knows, maybe we can dupe them a 2nd time lol.
Trade 1 Rockets out - SammyD, Martin, Scola, Drigic and Parsons in - Okafor, Wallace, Henry and NOH '12 2nd round pick Portland out - Wallace in - SammyD, Gordon -Batum can start and with room to grow -Camby showing age (dinged up all the time) / last year of contract -a scorer sub-all-star but really nice player - room to grow NOH out - Okafor, Gordon, Henry and NOH 2nd round pick in - Scola, Martin, Dragic, and Parsons -Three starts and a point that is better than J.Jack- -Resign Kaman to better contract for next year and and your set for a while -Gordon wants out anyway -Parsons is the reason they do the deal - young and cheap Trade 2 Rockets - Patterson, Hill, T-Will, Budinger and Jeff Adrien ...for... Suns - Lopez, Morris, Ron Price, and their 2nd round pick -Morris = Patterson -Lopez > Hill but only at center Hill is a power froward, too. Next to Gortat as a backside shot blocker is were he belongs. -Budinger is one of the best contract in the NBA -A free look at T-Will -they have the room for him to grow (G.Hill in his last year) -Adrien can rebound really well - soild for the price Trade 3 Rockets - Lee ...for... Back up point gaurd or a nice pick -If he will not sign move him It will take time for the new rockets to adjust so we miss the play-offs but pick up our draft pick. We don't tank so Les is happy; keep our pick, retool for a Donatas Motiejunas based team, and land an "all-star" in Wallace and a "star" in Okafor. Okafor / Lopez Motiejunas / BigMorris Wallace / Lil'Morris Henry / Llull Lowry / (Lee trade)/Llull/Price Picks: 2 lottery picks & 4(T-Wolves, Suns, NOH, and ours) second round picks plus (C.Lee trade). If DMtheGM hits on just a thrid of the picks we will be set for the next a few years.
What about looking to add Wilson Chandler and Kaman at the trade deadline? SnT Chandler for Morris, MIN 2nd Aquire Kaman for Scola, Budinger, Williams, future 2nd Lowry, Dragic, Flynn Martin, Lee Chandler, Parsons Patterson, Hill, Adrien Dalembert, Kaman, Thabeet
I think the Blazers have seen enough of injury prone players. Gordon just can't get his knees right this season. I also think Stern wouldn't want Scola's long term contract. He most likely vetoes it.
bud+hill+thabeet+flynn+min 2nd rd to NOH for Kaman martin+t.will+hou 1st to Portland for Wallace+nolan smith call-up morris Lowry/Dragic/Nolan Lee/Dragic/Nolan Wallace/Parsons/Morris Scola/Kaman/Ppat Dalembert/Kaman i ran everything thru tradeMachine and it all worked out...
http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6009866 Houston Out: Luis Scola Kevin Martin Courtney Lee Marcus Morris Hasheem Thabeet Houston In: Kevin Garnett Ray Allen Houston opens up optimum cap space for next summer and remains competitive this year. Boston receives a lottery pick from this years draft, the right to retain C. Lee come the offseason and two comparable talents going forward at a cheaper rate.
I'd do it in a heart beat, but wouldn't the Celtics want more cap space than that for next year? We'd probably have to give up more 09er busts to get them to trade.
and just to clarify, Scola and Martin basically amount to Garnetts salary. so the Celtics would be at around $48MM agaist the cap counting Martin, Scola and Morris. that is assuming they relinquish all other cap holds on their free agents.
