I was actually trying to conjure some trade that would satisfy the Timberwolves in exchange for Love. Minnesota should have taken care of him already. Certainly Adelman likes some of his former Rockets, but I don't know if that would do it, or if a third team.... See, Love would be the star to build around. The kid's a stud. But I won't waste too much time letting my mind drift in thinking he could possibly be a Rocket.
Miami is a contender they want elite and proven players and they pobably are not very interested in young prospective or draft pick... This really means they are not likely to give up Bosh unless there is a clear advantage... I don't see how this trade will make Miami a better contender... I believe it is easy for Miami to sign Dalembert type of rotation player... We had to give up Martin, Scola, Dragic and our own 1st round pick just to make Lakers interested to trade us a 31 years old Gasol... I believe we will need much more than Patterson, Scola and Boston 1st rd '12 for Bosh...
it was actually our pick from the Knicks not our own. draft night trade Jefferson, Patterson, Scola, Lowry, Boston 1st rd '12 for Bosh and Chalmers. Fixes their weakness at the 1 and 5 also replace Bosh with Scola and depth off the bench in Patterson. Also this would only happen if they don't win the championship this year and would definitely make them contenders. draft Kidd-Gilchrist and Leonard(Morey likes the guy) bring over our two guys from overseas. Starting: Chalmers, Lee, Kidd-Gilchrist, Bosh, Dalembert Bench: Llull, Morris, Motiejunas, Leonard
Bosh is better than any big that we have on this roster. Patterson is the only guy that I still have hope in becoming an all-star type player but for that to happen Scola has to be moved at the deadline. Otherwise I would rather keep with Patterson if he flourishes like Lowry did once he got the starting job.
I rather have DMo start at PF next year only because I believe he'll be more effective there than at the 5.
I've been wondering if we could pull a trade for Dwight, even if it is just a rental. The thing is, if Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, and Goran Dragic is only worth Pau Gasol, what would be worth Dwight and taking on Hedo's contract? Lowry, Scola, Martin, and Thabeet? The more I think about this, the more unlikely it seems unless Morey can snag Deron Williams first and convince him to stay.
Hence back to my big article which i actually already did some research on about their contract talks which is why i said they will build around rubio and williams and gain more talent for adelman and thier future... still say this is the type of trade that could grab a star like love... and i honestly think it would get them to the playoffs.... and well hell since they dont have a first rounder take off the two 2nd rd picks and give them the knicks pick.... add a 2nd rounder, hell add them both , hell add them next years 2nd rounder for all i care.... whatever it takes to get them to pull the trigger.... the contract talks between love and minny have gotten kinda ugly... and his jan 15th deadline date is coming up.... and if he is disgruntled and they think he wont re-sign they will obviously want to trade and get profit back... **** it add motiejunas, t.will, hill, dragic.... whoever... sweeten it to the point minny and adelman will fall in love and cant say no....
Also as a side not... all these trades for tteams to land dwight... what you guys are offering as potential trades is all of OUR players and the other teams 1st rd pick and maybe one player.... How about we send our 1st rd pick (or both) and send an extra asset or two to the third team to entice them to send the player to orlando.... just a thought.... but everytime orlando gets our players... cant see why we couldn't land him.......
would it be possible to trade for horford, i know hes injured but the free agency isnt going to be kind to the rockets and the east is weak so if we can help the hawks win now and try to grab a 1st rounder that would be win win. Maybe like scola and dalembert and chase for 1st rounder and horford and a future 2nd. Horford does have more trade value because he is younger so taking on a big contract like that would be a 2nd tier star that could possibly be a great asset.
but the knicks or the nets in all the proposed trades on this thread havent included any superstars... its always included scola martin and whatever other players on our team thrown in.... YET the "big market" team is getting dwight in all the proposed trades... makes no sense... go back a page or two and look...one trade was literally scola,martin,2 of our "assets" and then nj 1st rd.... for this? nj gets dwight and we get lopez??????? really make more logical trades then that.... if it was that easy morey would do the same thing and give our first or both of em if it was possible
The only point I was trying to make was that in the case of the Knicks and Nets, they sold the farm to get that caliber player. If you were talking about selling the farm to facilitate a crappy trade, then I misunderstood you.
i wasnt actually proposing a trade for dwight at all.... i was more poking holes in everyone elses proposed trades ... they seem to wanna give dwight to a 'big market' for our players... like orlando would be happy with just our players...
I don't really want Bosh and his contract, I'd also rather have Motiejunas start as well thats why I really want to see Patterson perform after we hopefully send out Scola by the deadline cause having Motiejunas, Patterson, and Scola at the 4 would be a problem. Is there a way we could send Scola to the Lakers for the trade exception and 1st rd '12 they received from Dallas in the Odom trade? If so send him to a contender, another 1st for Rockets and assets for Lakers in possible Howard trade.
