If you feel like Minnesota is giving up too much, you are certainly entitled to that opinion and I'll respect it as such.

Martin for Johnson is obviously way too one sided. Adding Beasley evens it out as far as what Minnesota gives up and receives in return.

Plus, keep in mind that Beasley is a bit of a black hole. His talent goes without saying, but there's a reason why this dude was traded for nothing more than a second round pick or two. His numbers are widely considered empty stats, his defense is pathetic and he has one of the highest USG rates in the league. Compound that with his off court issues and given the fact that he's clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer, the idea of him not being able to grasp a complex system like Adelman's read-and-react offense isn't far-fetched at all.

I've already pointed out how Minny has no #1 this year. Losing does them no good and this trade makes them a fringe playoff team. If Rubio and Derrick Williams are decent, they could be this year's cinderella story.

Rubio is pretty much untouchable for the wolves right now and emmeka is nice, but for some reason people go insane about his contract which really isn't too bad, considering how much all the other centers are going for.

    I agree about Emekas contract.

Is Rubio really untouchable? I mean let's be honest he doesn't want to be there.

I know Minny has been waiting a very long time and he has looked the part in pre season. But he does not want to be a T-wolve.

Kevin Love won't resign there either. They won't have much come next year.

Kevin love will go to LA. In my opinion. He is a cali kid, went to UCLA. LA seems his destination.

Especially if the Lakers lose on the Dwight Howard sweepstakes

Les should consider signing Kim Jong-un from North Korea. Apparently he dominated Euro playground ball, is known as an agressive and explosive playmaker. He's also the new Supreme Leader of North Korea, so Les can rake in North Korea cash!

He's basically Jeremy Lin, except Jeremy ain't no Supreme Leader of no country.

I figure I throw my Random trade in here...
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6npnzsd

    Gay
    Allen

    for

    Martin
    Patterson
    Flynn
    Bud

With the untimely injury of Arthur in Memphis, I say the Rockets pounce on the opportunity to provide a viable option to Memphis, and take advantage of a player who is at the point to be traded and cannot sign a max contract with his current team.

Martin gives Memphis the scoring punch from outside they need, Bud gives them the SF position to fill, Patterson gives them the back-up presence they now require, and and Flynn gives them a legit scoring punch from the 1.

Gay gives Houston the All-Star? they need, fills the SF hole (Lee comes up to play the 2), and Houston gets YOUNG!!!

    Projected starting 5s:
    Lowry Conley
    Lee Martin
    Gay Bud
    Scola Randolph
    Hill Gasol

Lowry has played with Gay. We keep Hill, who's ceiling should be higher and worth more as trade asset than Patterson?

    Our Bench:
    Dragic/Lin
    Allen
    T-Will/Parsons
    Adrien
    G.Smith/Thabeet
(Motiejunas to be signed in the future)

We FINALLY GET RID of our Power Forward glut and make Houston a bit more formidable.

    What do you guys think.

Memphis will need to waive players in order for the all new players to fit under the rost list, but they have some 6-figure players there to drop to make it happen, of can be thrown into the trade.

There are rumblings of Howard to the Lakers, which I have to assume would be for Pau and Howard. If that takes place Pau may be obtainable again.

    So, 2 questions:

    1) Would you still make the previously proposed trade for Gasol now that Nene also coming in is off the table?

-- I say yes, because the team has enough depth at PG, SG and SF to where the depth stops being an asset at some point since many of the players can't get on the court to contribute. A Gasol trade would allow the Rockets to get something out of players that would otherwise not get on the court and would thus be non income generating assets -- which everyone knows are bad investments. Also, it would open up roster spots for Morey to go out and find more diamonds in the rough, which, with the roster being full right now, he is limiting in being able to do.

    2) Second question is based on my feeling that Jameer Nelson would join Turk and Howard in the deal to LA, and that ORL would then want a point guard -- so, would you do a deal of Lowry for Gasol if it meant the Rockets would then be able to keep Scola OR Martin? I'm picturing a deal of something like Lowry and Martin for Gasol.

    2. Emeka Okafor - He is from Houston, went to Uconn, won a championship there. He is a very soild player. Contract is not that great. But I think he would do wonders for us. I love Okafors game. He is a grinder. And is physical.

What are talks thoughts on them?
Would yall like to see them as a rocket?

    Happy Holidays ClutchFans.[/QUOTE]

I would like to see a trade for a legit C. Thabeet looked awful. Slow-footed, unathletic, and brain dead is no way to go through life...

The Hornets needs are PG, PF and a backup Center (if they trade Kaman or Okafor). I'd much prefer Kaman since he's expiring, but we could package Thabeet, (Flynn or Dragic), and one of our 4s (not Scola), and the trade works for EITHER Okafor or Kaman. We might need to toss in a pick or two to make it happen, but I doubt that Morey would deal with Stern & the Jazz again...

I'd like to see Al Jefferson here, but the Jazz want a 3...and we need an upgrade there too, so I don't see a match without a 3-team deal.

A year of watching Thabeet and Jordan Hill man the 5, and Bud/TWill man the 3 will be painful.

1)Thabeet played like a rookie, that was expected, honestly he played better then a lot of us expected. He needs legit play time to accustom himself and a lot of it ;(

    2) If Twill can play like he did in the second half of that first preseason game on a more consistent rate then that will actually be fun and if if anything points to previous Nets games, preseason games then that seems like the more logical direction as long as he gets play time.

If it means we have to take any junk from Orlando then no, I dont care if its just one junk, no. That team has horrific contracts.

I liked the previous 3 way trade that Stern Can-x so if we was to only give up Martin and Scola then fine. PPat and Lee are promising enough to take over those positions.

May as well throw my .02 in:

    Houston outgoing:
    Kevin Martin
    Luis Scola
    Marcus Morris

    Minnesota outgoing:
    Derrick Williams
    Darko Milicic
    Anthony Randolph

    Milwaukee outgoing:
    Drew Gooden

    Houston Incoming:
Derrick Williams (can't be traded until January the 9th)
    Darko Milicic
    Anthony Randolph

    Minnesota Incoming:
    Kevin Martin
    Drew Gooden
Marcus Morris (can't be traded until January the 16th)

    Milwaukee Incoming:
    Luis Scola

(draft picks would be added to sweeten the deal)

I love Kevin Martin and Luis (especially Martin, started saying we needed to get him as soon as we got Adelman) but it's time to go young and take our lumps.

Luis to Milwaukee: Luis and Bogut should form a potentially dominant front court in the eastern conferance. Adding Luis should allow them to move up the standings and ultimately challenge the Pacers, Sixers and Hawks in the playoff standings. With Dunleavy and Stephan Jackson providing the three ball off of the inside game, they'd threaten a lot of teams.

Kevin Martin, Drew Gooden, Marcus Morris to Minny:
Not much to say here regarding Martin. It's pretty obvious what he would add to Adelman's offense in Minny. Besides Drew Gooden adding rebounding and a nice 15 footer to Adelman's offense, I think he'd bring a much needed veteran presence and a dose of toughness to this young team. As far as MM, you have to give a little to get a lot.

Derrick Williams, Darko Milicic, Anthony Randolph to Houston:
I know a lot of people will say that there's no way that we'd get DW, a #2 pick for Martin but look at it this way, when Minny drafted him, people scratched their head as they already had Love and Beasley. Some thought of the pick as eventual trade bait. Would it be so strange to trade a #2 pick who doesn't fill a need on your team for a top 5 shooting guard who fits your new offense to a "T"?

For us, Derrick would slip nicely into the SF position and would fill a need for someone with a little "star" potential.

While getting Darko is a stretch it doesn't seem out of the question, especially with Minny getting Gooden (yes he's a natural PF but I think he can man the C position next to Love). There are already questions about how many minutes Darko will get, especially considering the fact the Adleman likes to go small and can play Love at the C and Beasley at the 4 in a pinch.
Darko for all of the grief he's taken is a solid low post defender and is serviceable offensively (which is more than you can say about Sammy D who we would have had to shell out some bucks for)
If Jordan continues to improve you can have Darko (who's on a great contract btw) coming off of the bench or vice versa.
With Adelman desperate for Martin, Minny may be willing to give him up.

The "X' factor in this deal is Anthony Randolph. He has the potential (hate that P word) to have everyone believing that we robbed Minny in a couple of years. The key is can Kevin Mchale bring that confidence that he showed in Golden State only two years ago back out. McHale would be the first coach to truly mentor and push AR (we all know Nelly didn't and forget about Dantoni). The kid is special, again, his confidence is the key.

    Potential Houston Lineup:
    PG: Lowry/Dragic/Flynn
    SG: Lee/T-Will
    SF: D-Will/Budinger
PF: PP/Anthony Randolph (although I think this will eventually be AR's)
    C: Hill/Darko (can be swapped)

1/16/12 will be a nice day for us if this happens. Would love to see Hill and Randolph play next to each other(both are in contract years may be hard to keep them both). I like the "new Drarko". too. We get a "lil' star" well glitter in Williams, hey that is ok in time who really knows.

Rockets get Ryan Anderson and Johan Petro
    - Rockets get a versitile young PF who can stretch defenses and a backup center on a short term deal. Petro becomes and expiring contract next offseason.

Orlando gets Brook Lopez and Luis Scola + draft picks
    - Orlando gets another young center and a veteran PF which should allow them to stay in the playoff hunt. They also get a number of draft picks from both the Nets and Rockets.

New Jersey gets DHoward and Chris Duhon
    - Gets their franchise center to pair with DWill and salary cap fodder.

Rockets rebuild with a very good prospect in Ryan Anderson and at least a cheap center. It would be a white flag but Anderson could be Scola as soon as next season. Only issue is Anderson is a restricted FAgent next summer which might cost a pretty penny.

I like Ryan, although scola's a pretty hefty price for him. Wouldn't want petro, it would just be a waist of cap room he's not gonna take over the starting or back up center spot.

The bucks are walking away with an absolute steal. Gooden for Scola? They better be giving up a few picks for that one.

Eh, calling Anderson a young prospect (implying he has upside) is a bit of a reach, IMO.

He is what he is. He's a Channing Frye clone. Those type of guys are always valuable off the bench but not at the expense of arguably your best player.

to make it work on the trade machine & the T-Wolves to say YES

    T-Wolves:
In - Martin, Gooden, Morris & Budinger plus a pick from Bucks(lottery protected)
    Out - D.Williams, Milicic, Randolph & Webster

    Bucks:
    In - Scola
Out - Gooden & a first round pick (lottery protected)

    Rockets:
    In - D.Williams, Milicic, Randolph & Webster
Out - Martin, Scola, Morris & Budinger
Webster has a team option next year - he is really just a $5m+ filler to make the trade work.
