I heard the other day the the Timberwolves are considering giving the Rockets their #18 pick in the draft for Kevin Martin, if this holds true.... Give #14, #16, #18, Dallas' pick + scola, lowry, and morris to Charlotte (assuming they get the #1) for.....Anthony Davis Pipe Dream.

.454% FG and .394% from 3 sound pretty good to me considering scoring isn't on of his best qualities.
I heard it on ESPN 97.5, one of the Rockets "insiders" says the Timberwolves will attempt to trade their #18 overall pick on draft night to the Rockets for Kevin Martin.
So according to an insider on the Jazz board, the Jazz are targeting someone in the mid first round and since they don’t have a pick they’ve been talking with us about getting one of our picks. I wonder what we’d want from them…I really don’t like much they have besides Favors. Maybe Morey is willing to trade a pick this year for next year’s GSW pick (top 6 protected) and hope GSW gets plagued by injuries to Bogut/Curry? Hmmmm.
By "insider" you mean a Jazz fan???... hmmm... Regardless, I think there are alot of teams the Rockets would consider trading picks with for a potentially better pick the next year. They could very well be targeting Kendall Marshall and he might fall around the 16th pick area where the Knicks pick is going to be. Next years GSW pick could be a nice asset to pick up in exchange for the 16th pick. Even if you dont plan on using it for yourself next season, the "what if" factor that pick could have this summer and next trade deadline could be the sweetener that gets a major trade done. Id think that deal works out for both parties. The Rockets will already have two rookies next season, and some younger players needing more PT. If they are going to bring back Dragic, & look to trade Lowry they can very easily get a backup PG either back in trade or in free agency this July. Drafting another PG wouldn't do that PG any favors in their development having to play behind Dragic.
alrighty, i have been putting my pentium 2 through some hard work to come up with a trade that would work for everyone involved. Blazers get...Martin,Lowry,14th pick,16th pick, patrick patterson, Morris and Gm darell Maury plus an autographed Maxwell lithograph for Lamarcus and elliot williams. Camby/ d-mo/scola (because mctalky can still like it small) Lamarcus/Scola/D-mo Parsons/Bud/d-mo Lee/Bud Dragic/ 2nd round purchased rookie PCU says....50 1/2 wins for the 2012-2013 season.
Yeah I guess I should have said according to someone they seem to regard as an insider. I was just passing it along as a rumor, nothing more. Agree that trading one of our picks for that future GSW pick wouldn't be a bad idea. It could be another mid first rounder if Bogut/Curry actually stay healthy or it could be somewhere in the 7-10 range if they don't. Whatever happens you're right that three incoming rookies would be too much and at least one of our picks will get traded.
The Jazz have no players that I would want in a Rockets jersey. Kanter, Favors and Jefferson are presumably off the table.
They need to open up playing time for Favors/Kanter so I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jefferson is moved. According to that guy, they're actually desperately trying to move him. I'd do a KMart for Big Al swap if we don't have any better options, but I wouldn't want to give them a pick. Not for Jefferson who's a terrible fit with Scola.
Nice find. Yeah, what would we get from them? Favors = untouchable. Hayward = white, better chance Utah can keep him when it's time to re-sign. Kanter? Would we want him? Given minutes, would he be a good player?
And I'd rather not take no Jefferson's salary. I wouldn't like him for us as a C. And there are better options for us out there at PF. So I would stay away from trading with Utah.
