Whatever makes the contracts work, they seem like a team that should be getting ready to "win now" since they have accrued a lot of high picks already. But DM has said no tanking so it's probably not realistic.
Then how about this: HOU in -Andray Blatche, Rashard Lewis, WAS's 1st, TOR's 1st out -Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, NYK's 1st WAS in -Kevin Martin, Lui Scola, Linas Kleiza out -Andray Blatche, Rashard Lewis, 1st rounder TOR in -Kyle Lowry, NYK's 1st out -Linas Kleiza, 1st rounder Draft Drummond with WAS's pick, Beal or Lamb with TOR's pick and Kendall Marshall with our own pick. Re-sign Gogi, Lee and Camby. Dragic/Marshall Lee/Beal or Lamb Parsons/Lewis/Bud Patterson/Blatche Camby/Dalembert/Drummond
Three way trade: Utah receives: Kyle Lowry and the Rockets' two first round picks Houston receives: New Orleans' own lottery pick New Orleans receives: The rights to the franchise name "Jazz"
I was thinking about making the team better but trying to be somewhat realistic! The two players of target are James Harden & Chris Bosh! After next season Harden is a RFA but OKC also have Maynor & Ibaka as RFA's to decide on which I believe Harden would be the odd man out. Also on the chance that Miami fails to win the title this season they break up the big three & the odd man out would be Bosh to trade to add depth & also cut Salary. On draft night I think we should draft Meyers Leonard #14, then trade #16(if Rivers/Ross are still on the board) Morris, Patterson to OKC for Harden. Would give them depth behind Durant/Ibaka with Morris/Patterson & a replacement for Harden off the bench in either Rivers/Ross! Going on a rumor of trading our 2 best players for Bosh with Martin, Scola, Dal 1st. Like I said they'd cut salary with Martin on his last year. More of a lateral move though also just a rumor! I think Dragic will leave to start somewhere like POR, Morey would still likely match any offer for Lee if the price is just right(maybe 4yr 24mil team option on 4th yr), & wouldn't bother resigning Camby if he can't find a suitor for Dalembert & keep him with 1yr remaining on his contract. Finally sign a backup PG to a yr deal so following the season we have room for Llull to come in & play! Lowry, backup PG Harden, Lee Parsons, Budinger Bosh, Motiejunas Dalembert, Leonard Dreams I know, but seems more realistic than trading for Williams & Howard IMO! Harden & Bosh can turn this franchise around & we maintain our depth. Also with the addition of two 7ft rookies in Motiejunas & Leonard the future quickly goes from dark to bright! Your thoughts please!
Draft Night Action: Trade1: Bud/Morris and PPat(maybe not him but still) for J.Harden Trade2: If all of these rumors about Bosh are real then: L.Scola and Lowry for Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers(likely without him). Trade3: Kevin Martin for the hightest available pick. Draft: Austin Rivers. FA: Re-Sign Dragic, bring back A.Brooks if it is possible or Llull. PG: Dragic, Llull/Brooks SG: Harden, Rivers SF: Parsons, Morris PF: Bosh, Motiejunas C: Camby, Delembert Don't know if it is possible enough but acording to that OKC won't have enough money for Ibaka and Harden they probably are intrested to trade one of the. If we get Bosh - i would give the 25 min/game. No longer, Motiejunas must get a trust form McHale. After Bud and PPat trade we will see how Morris can play more. Parsons won't get 48min ha So about 16-18 min for Morris to prove his talent. (Still I dont like him but.) Correct me
Rockets trade: Lowry, Ppat, Morris, Bud, 2012 1st, Dallas pick Get: Favors, Sac 2012 1st rd pick Pretty obvious why we do this. Favor has a lot of upside defensively. He's kinda raw on the offensive side, but he can get better. He could possibly play center alongside Donatas which allow us to waive Dalembert. Hopefully we can nab Beal at 5 and Miller at 16. Then we have to start chopping off Scola and Martin for expirings and picks. Sign Gogi for sure and then possibly Lee. Camby can be signed depending on what kinds of money he wants. Jazz trade: Favors Get: Evans, Bud, Dallas pick They get some help at the wings by adding these two. They also still have Kanter and possibly the warrior pick to possibly draft a point guard to replace Harris or draft a big to replace Millsap or Jefferson. Dallas pick is a trade sweetener. Kings trade: Evans, 2012 1st Get: Lowry, Ppat, Morris, Hou 2012 1st Unless that pick lands Davis, I think this team will be the most willing to trade their pick. They need leadership to get to the next level. Team outlook afterwards Dragic *Lee/Beal Parsons/ Miller Donatas/ Smith Favors/ Camby* Alot of potential on that team. The key for next season should be to develop these guys. Guys that still need to be moved: Scola, Martin
No need/room for Dalembert (Drummond / Greg Smith), Blatche (Motiejunas), Marshall (Llull), maybe even Lee (Llull), Lewis (Budinger) on this team. More trades will need to happen but soild start
Plus, Orlando gets both our first-round picks and the maximum cash allowed with the transaction. We get their second-round pick. We sign Carl Landry. We sign Steve Novak as additional deadly 3-point threat to pair with Howard. We re-sign Dragic, Lee, Camby. We get Llull to come over from Spain, and Donuts. With the two second-round picks, we draft a backup PG (e.g., Scott Machado) and a PF/C project (e.g., Kyle O'Quinn). PG: Dragic, Llull, Machado SG: Lee, Turkoglu, Budinger SF: Parsons, Novak, Marcus Morris PF: Scola, Landry, Motiejunas C: Howard, Camby, O'Quinn Other players I would like us to take a look at are Ray Allen (if he wants to chase a last ring for little money) and Brandon Rush from GS.
We sign Carl Landry and Novak with what money? Pretty sure Novak and Landry will cost more than the MLE and BAE.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7szgncu Draft a rookie center for loss of delembert , add another player at PG and trade Lowry for draft position
I like it, but no to novak and landry. we'd be way too deep and plus we need room for morris and motiejunas to develop. We could kinda get away with it since we'd be contenders either way
