Martin and Morris to Boston for Rondo and a 2012 1st rounder. May have to be two seperate trades.

This is nothing more than a pipe dream that's unlikely to happen!

This is simpler, I believe Hou makes the playoffs & end up with NY pick at #16! They could easily trade up using Morris, Budinger, Patterson to move up a few positions in the draft to get Leonard!

Realistic but doubtful! Trading Lowry/Scola/Patterson/Dalembert for Bosh/Chalmers favors Miami! Lowry>Chalmers, Scola/Patterson can make up the production Bosh does, & Dalembert=Anthony in production at C giving them much more depth in their frontcourt. Also with the salary cap penalties Miami would have to send out one of the big three & Bosh seems like the odd man out to cut salary!

But of the three I believe getting Harden for Lee, Hou 1st, Dal 1st is the most far fetched! I agree they could get more for that, just something to do before the season. IMHO Houston would have a better chance at next years trade deadline when they could package more players & picks!

This team just needs a complete makeover & I think Morey will be real busy making changes this summer!

The Jazz have what we NEED (Bigs) and we have what they NEED (PGs)

Lowry, Morris (the unknown) and Budinger (if needed - would like to keep)
    ...for...
    D.Favors and A. Burks

    HOW ABOUT THIS??????

The Rockets need a swing for the fences move, in the worse possible way for the franchise.

so lets get dwight howard and lamarcus aldridge. and turn into the lakers

    to get dwight howard

    we trade

    martin + scola + budinger + dalembert + camby + pick

    to get lamarcus aldridge

    lowry + patterson + morris + pick

    we go with

    dragic
    lee
    parsons
    aldrige
    howard

    thats a monster team.

    orlandos team post-trade

    nelson / 2012 draft choice
    richardson / martin / redick
    turkoglu / budinger
    scola / davis
    dalembert / camby

tell me thats worse than the pacers, who are owning it in the East.

    blazers lineup post-trade

    lowry / felton / smith
    beale / matthews
    batum
    sullinger/ patterson / morris
    meyers leonard

    thats a very promising team

It better be a monster team, because your starting 5 will need to play 45 + minutes. Let's see Earl Boykins, Courtney Fortson, Greg Smith, Diamon Simpson will be our bench players if you do this trade ...

BTW, the trade for D12 would be hilarious ... Magic fans would love this!

Find support players is not hard in the nba. Vets desperate for a ring will want to play with us if that happened.

The #1 team is not going to trade Anthony Davis, agreed. However, if the lottery teams fall right and a team like Portland is in position to draft Robinson or Sullinger, then a package deal involving Lowry may be able to be consumated.

In the NBA, you acquire the alpha dog piece first...then you worry about building a supporting cast that complements him.

I like the idea of that Trade, but they won't take Martin Back. Let's just make the trade around Lowry for Cousins, and We will put anyone in there as long as Sac requested. I would love to take Chuck back as a backup PF or Defense specialty if u will.

Lowry + Dalembert + HOU pick for Okafor + NO pick + Minny pick

NO gets rid of Okafor’s bad contract ($13.5M, $14.5M left) at the cost of two top 10 picks. BUT they also get a borderline all-star PG on a great deal, a cheaper defensive C whose option they can pick up OR decline in favor of cap space, and a late lotto pick.

Houston takes on a bad contract and gives up a great PG, but they get two top 10 picks in return.

Martin for Webster + Miller’s unguaranteed deals and Utah pick

Scola and Budinger for a future pick to Phoenix or whoever wants them

Re-sign Dragic. Let Lee and Camby walk, they don’t have any upside left.

    End Result:
    Dragic/Beal(#4 NO pick)/Parsons/D-Mo/Okafor
    Wroten(#17 NY pick)/T. Ross(#16 Utah pick)/Morris/Patterson/Zeller(#10 Minny pick)

We clean house on all the guys that have reached their ceilings and rebuild with high upside youth!

I think its about time to go ahead and start up trades for draft day 2012 that set the table for 2012/13

Wizards recieve -(22.3 mm in salary)

    SG-Kevin Martin
    PF-Luis Scola
    -Rockets 2012 first round pick

    Rockets recieve-(23.7 mm in salary)

    SF-Rashard Lewis
-Rights to the Wizards 2012 first round pick

Reasons why this makes sense for both teams-

Wizards- Must start building team around John Wall that can win now. They now he's all-star in waiting and needs pieces around him that do not need to develop. If they aren't getting the #1 pick(Anthony Davis) maybe they feel like getting a major roster upgrade would significantly help become a playoff team with a core that can compete in the 4th through 8th playoff spots for years-

    C-Nene, Booker
    Pf-Scola, Vesely, Seraphin, Blatche
    SF-Singleton
    SG-Martin, Crawford
    PG-Wall, Mack

    +Rockets pick, & 2nd round pick

-That could be a core of players who play a fun up and down style of basketball, and make some noise in the East around Wall as their franchise star.

Rockets- Why Rockets do this- Rebuild mode, Scola salary dump, draft upgrade. Veteran rental who wants to finish career in Houston much like Camby.

    PG- Lowry, Fortson
    SG-Lee(RFA), Bud
    SF-Parsons, Morris
    PF-Patterson, Motiejunas, Lewis
    C-Dalembert, Smith

    -Free agent possible resignees-Dragic, Camby

    +lotto pick(Drummond, Kidd-Gilchrist, Robinson, or Beal), & Knicks 1st rounder(Rivers, Marshall, Leonard, Lillard)

Thats a 15 man roster built around youth, and a few veterans sprinkled in the mix. Obviously the other wilcard in there is the potential for moving Lowry & signing Dragic longterm. That could be a very interesting team going forward, and finally get the high lotto pick that every Rocket fan on this site craves.

I think that's good. But I'd also like to trade Lowry and some combination of other assets for another high pick if possible.

I like the idea of the first trade, but I see the Hornets holding on to the minny pick in that deal if something like that went down. A Lowry-Gordon (if he can ever stay healthy) backcourt would be really nice to buid around. Drafting Beal and not signing Lee back is the correct move in that scenario as well.

I agree for moving out Scola (or amnesty), Bud and Martin for future picks and expirings. Sixers could be a team to trade with. Trade them for Brand and a 2015 1st (top-8 protected). Brand is expiring, so waive him off the books.

I'd also try to move Morris and Dallas pick for White and Fornier (from france). There's alot of potential in those two. French players have also been pretty good in the nba recently (Parker, Batum). Maybe the trend will continue...:)

Draft Leonard with the NY pick. He has bust potential, but he's 7-1 and the pick is in the mid rd. Gotta take a chance there.

    Dragic/ Fortson(?)
Beal/ Fournier (if he comes over next season)
    Parsons/ White
    Patterson/ Donatas
    Okafor/ Leonard

The goal of next season should be to develop these guys and try to find a core to build around.
