Now that Dwight is (allegedly) staying with the Magic, is there any chance the Rockets could lure/trade for D-Will and then trade away Lowry+Scola for Pau? As much as I'd be sad to see Lowry go, that would be a HUGE upgrade (although apparently the trade machine says it would decrease our win total by 7... how is that possible)!

Rockets receive: Kaman, Al Jefferson and Raja Bell Rockets trade: Martin, Scola, Flynn, Thabeet, T-Will, Bud Hornets receive: Flynn, Thabeet, T-Will and Bud Hornets trade: Kaman Jazz receive: Martin and Scola Jazz trade: Al Jefferson and Raja Bell http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7g2af5r Rockets line-up: PG: Lowry/Dragic SG: Lee/Bell SF: Parsons/Morris PF: Jefferson/PPat C: Kaman/Dalembert/Hill
I like this but out lineup would be: Dalembert / Lopez / Smith Gasol / Hill Parsons / Bud Harden Nash / Dragic because those players aren't coming over until maybe next season and TWill will almost certainly be cut if he's not traded. I think we could find a backup SG or Dragic can play the combo.
+Philly sends first round pick Philly can't say no to this. It's really the absolute perfect deal for them. Lowry's a Philly kid, Lee is the perfect perimeter roleplayer, Patterson helps ease the sting of losing Vucevic. Let's face it: Lou Williams is an undersize SG, not a point guard. This lets him play that position. +New Jersey sends first round pick & renounces rights to Rockets first rounder Since Howard is staying in Orlando, NJ plans to try to add reinforcements around D-Will so that he stays and they can inaugurate the new Brooklyn arena properly. Sending out Parsons hurts, but for a top 10 (top 5 if we're REALLY lucky) lottery pick, Marshon Brooks, and our pick back, I think it's worth it. Now, with the Knicks pick, New Jersey pick, our pick back, and Philly's pick, we have a ton of draft choices in a loaded class. Possibly we could combine some and/or some assets to move up farther if there's a guy we really like. We also have the following prospects: Holiday/Llull Brooks/Turner Morris/Turner Motiejunas Vucevic There's your rebuild.
@K-Low_4_Prez & ArtV Bud switch to SF to SG or SG to SF, Parsons playing time 30+ minutes, Harden playing time 30+ minutes, Bud playing time will be 30+ minutes that's good for Bud, just as long as there's no injuries.
Money off the books for New Orleans--lots of it once you count Eric Gordon about to get paid. And a legit prospect to boot. I think they'd rather part with Gordon than their top 3 pick, to be honest.
You'd have to follow that up with a trade for Martin. If we're gonna take on Okafor's deal, you gotta move Martin's salary out.
I still dream of acquiring Derrick Williams or Pekovic for Martin... but I doubt Kahn does it. At least without some significant sweetening of the pot. Do you think he would do it if we sent this: And also sent the Knicks pick on over? They have no draft pick in this loaded class. Do you think WE should do such a thing?
