Yeah, just got it changed this afternoon. As far as the trade proposal, just something I felt could benefit all 3 teams. Thanks. The trade can be done without the Lakers part. If it were just us and the Clippers, we'd still have Lowry, and Dragic and Mo Williams splitting backup PG and back up SG. He's pure offense who could be that spark we need off the bench.
If it were a regular two team trade with us and the Clippers, we'd keep Lowry with Williams and Dragic backing up the 1 and 2. Courtney Lee would be the starting 2 guard. If it were a 3 team trade then yeah, either Williams or Dragic would start. I'm not too high on either of them starting, but with Pau and Deandre, it'd be a lot easier for them to distribute, play simple pick and roll, and spot up for open looks.
I still don't like giving up Lowry in this deal, but it's a good move if we still do it for this. What about this? Rockets trade- Scola, Martin, Sammy, Dragic, Thabeet, Bud, Ny pick, minny 2nd pick, Flynn, Hill Get- Gasol, Jordan, Mo, Walton (bad contract) Clips trade- Jordan, Bledsoe, Mo Get- Dalembert, Martin, Dragic, minny 2nd rd pick Lakers trade- Gasol, Walton Get- Scola, Thabeet (exp.contract), Flynn (exp. contract), Hill (exp. contract), Bud, Bledsoe, Ny pick We give up cap space, but we keep Lowry and its not like any big Fa's were coming to us this year anyway. Mo and Walton will be expirings in 2013 Clippers get vet help, upgrade at SG, get a better compliment Center to griffin, clear up the pg logjam, and get picks Lakers get rid of some of their bad contracts, replace some of the void of gasol with scola, get a cheap young pg in bledsoe who could break out for them, Bud for bench scoring at a cheap contract, a pick, and expirings so they can reduce the luxury tax they will have for next year. May not be getting the full value of gasol, but they will be able to have the cap space moving forward because kobe's salary will continue to get even higher. Lowry/ Mo Lee/ T-will Parsons/ morris Gasol/ Ppat Jordan/ Smith
Rockets trade: Martin, Scola, Dragic, Morris, Hill, NY 1st, Thabeet Rockets get: P.Gasol, Iguodala, L.Allen, Goudelock - Huge overhaul here. Will explain below. Lakers trade: P.Gasol, Goudelock Lakers get: Scola, Dragic, M.Williams, M.Morris - Fill their 1 and 3 spots, get a nice replacement 4 in Scola, and a project in Morris. Sixers trade: Iguodala, L.Allen Sixers get: K.Martin, J.Hill - Give Turner the reigns that Iggy had, and Martin comes in as a needed scorer. Hill provides depth/youth inside. Hawks trade: M.Williams Hawks get: Thabeet, NY 1st - Get rid of big contract, get a 1st, and take a silly flier on Thabeet for now, as they need a shot blocker (lol). Dalembert/G.Smith Gasol/Patterson/L.Allen Iguodala/Parsons/Budinger Lee/Williams Lowry/Goudelock/Flynn - If Lowry can take a leadership role, this would be a great defensive, tough group. Iguodala and Pau are all star caliber players, and Lowry can join them soon.
Really? Losing to the Raptors too? Something seems fishy here. The guys losing 4 straight and the to Toronto. Seems like something is up.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ycn-11061250 About half way down says Dragic, Martin, and scola for Gasol is probably all the lakers can get. Just wondering why the lakers would want Martin!?
i will take that deal!. salary dump since those 3 make more than gasols salary and we still will have money off books this offseason. I think we need to target a SF and place budinger on block for trade since he gets no PT. Mike beasley is the consistant scorer that may fit our needs.
Lowry/Flynn or T-Will Lee/Turner Parsons/Morris Gasol/Hawes Dalembert/Hawes We get a lot better defensively just in general, and our frontcourt scoring improves by a lot to even out the loss of Martin and give us a more balanced attack. Flynn as backup PG kind of sucks but hopefully we can negotiate a buyout to bring Llull in. LA doesn't get its home run trade, but they do get a good young 21-year old PG on a good contract who does all the little things they need. Scola fills in for Gasol and Budinger gives them a good shooter off the bench, something they're lacking. As for PHI? Martin + Hill = Turner + Hawes and Patterson + Dragic = Jrue Holiday. Seems reasonable enough.
i would trade lowry for holiday. lowry has clearly declined since the first few games of the season. Sell now before we are stuck with him
id assume 3way w minnie... La out: Gasol, goudelock in: Scola, barea, beasley minnie out: beasley, barea in: kmart, dragic unless la prefer expiring dragic... hou out: Scola, kmart, dragic in: gasol, goudelock
If we get gasol and turner would that help our team a little or do we still need to get more players to help
In that scenario, we still need to add an above average starting center to be contenders, in my opinion. That's why I suggested bringing Hawes into the deal. He could be that guy.
We could actually just keep pat and they can keep Hawes. Play Gasol at center along side pat at the 4
Ya I think it would be a steal! But just like the 1st trade for Gasol, I really hate losing scola! I just have always loved the guy on and off the court. I'd hate to see him go, but Gasol is a major improvement. I'm not too sold on Beasley, I still think Morris will fill that role eventually. I like our future at SF with Parsons/Morris
I don't like Gasol at center, honestly... I think he is much better and much more of a mismatch at the 4.
