No. If Dallas would do Jared for Brandon straight up, we might ought to consider it. But Dallas isn't going to hand their playoff competitor an upgrade we ain't giving away Brooks for an overpaid big.
Good Lord, no. That would be throwing Brooks away to f***ing Dallas for no-talent Brendon Haywood. Better to play Brooks at center.
I want G. Wallace! But I don't like this proposal at all. By the way Charlotte and Portland are discussing a trade with G. Wallace right now. If we trade for G. Wallace, we don't need a 3th team.
Can either of these trades happen? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=34ncmxn OR http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=352hskc
What's wrong with this deal and is it worth the wait? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=36o45dx If it's true Yao's contract is insured, why not move him for Brand/Pick. Then Houston also get picks from Cleveland, Toronto. Follow this trade up with our own pick for Randolph. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2dp2dyv Then look to move Scola/Lowry for cap space for 2012. Then we can resign Yao Ming and be in position for Dwight Howard and Chris Paul in 2012. Howard / Yao Pick / Randolph / Brand Pick / Williams / Budinger pick / Lee Paul / pick We would have three top ten picks in 2010 and one top ten pick in 2011.
I say we be team players and allow an Anthony and Harrington move to New Jersey while sending Brooks, Hill, and our NY 2012 first round draft pick to Denver and in return getting Derrick Favors. This would leave us with a starting/bench unit along the lines of: Lowry/Lee/Smith Martin/Williams Battier/Budinger Scola/Patterson/Jeffries Favors/Miller/Hayes/Yao http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2dq7pex And if for some reason you are not satisfied with that lineup try sending Battier, Hayes, Budinger, and Patterson to Philly for Iggy allowing for the following unit: Lowry/Smith Martin/Lee Iggy/Williams Scola/Jeffries Favors/Miller/Yao http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2esqvqo OR forget all of this and shoot for the stars by going for Melo and Chauncy in exchange for Yao, Brooks, Martin, and a draft pick or two. Think along the lines of: Billups/Lowry/Smith Lee/Williams Anthony/Battier/Budinger Scola/Hill/Patterson Hayes/Miller http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=242nuyp
I think Brooks should be traded for a decent back up PG and to improve other positions: SF or C Brooks + Battier + Jefferies For J. Smith + Bibby Hayes, Miller, Yao Scola, Hill, Patterson Smith, Bud Martin, Lee, T-Will Lowry, Bibby, Ish Bibby will be a perfect back-up for Lowry who gives you 20~24 solid minutes, can shoot and run a team, provides leadership and knows RA's system. J-Smooth >>>>> Shane.
How about something along the lines of To Houston A. Nocioni A. Varejao To Philly J.Jeffries To Cleveland Ariza TPE T.Young Philly gets out of bad contract in exchange for Young, or whatever small piece from Philly they may want. Cleveland gets Young for Varejao with no filler salary. Houston eats Nocionis extra year of salary to get Varejao. Brooks / Lowry / Smith Martin / Lee / Williams Battier / Budinger / Nocioni Scola / Hayes / Patterson Varejao / Hill / Miller Upgraded defense at the cost of salary as per the Chrons report this week.
4 Way dance... Rox get OJ Mayo - Rox get a dynamic 2 guard to backup Martin...for now. Also setup a deal for Thabeet. Griz get Taj Gibson and DJ Augustin - Griz get a good PF to backup Z-Bo and a good backup PGuard for Conley. Bulls get Courtney Lee - Bulls get the 2 guard have been after. Bobcats get Aaron Brooks and Chase Budinger - Cats get their new PGuard and young player in Bud. Simultaneous deal - Rox get H. Thabeet for Yao's DPE - Rox get their big man center and will see if they can revive his career. Lowry/Ish Martin/Mayo Battier/T-Will Scola/Hayes Hill/Thabeet Rox take on more money but acquire two young players with high ceilings that need a change of scenery.
