Top 5 trades the Rockets need to pull the trigger on. From the bleacher report. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...rades-they-need-to-pull-the-trigger-on#page/1
I would take any of those trades right now. Something needs to be done because it seems this combination of players (even with Yao and AB) isn't going to work.
Yeah. Those are all either stupid or completely unrealistic. I don't see any that seem both realistic and smart. But the premise is flawed to begin with. The author acts like the Rockets will make a move to save this season. Screw this season. If we're making a move, it needs to be one that benefits the team for years down the line. The only way it would make sense to make a move to save this season is if we were one move away from being a serious championship contender. The actual situation? We're a move away from possibly making the playoffs. The last thing I want is to squeak into the playoffs and have New York do the same. I'm thinking it's about time we aim for top 3 picks.
I'm at the point where I don't think anything will help the team this year. It would be better, I think, to trade players for picks and start rebuilding.
1) trade all floppers 2) trade all guys who are soft 3) trade all guys who don't play D you make those 3 trades, we'll be good again
Morey, bring Capt. Steve Jack back to his homeland to right the ship in Houston. Son grew up hard in the Golden Triangle, and he would bring instant street cred to this team, a la TruWarier:
Make it the 2012 pick and Jeffries. The 2011 swap is looking like GOLD right now. Edit - I would trade the swap for Rubio.
The only trade that would allow us to somewhat contend would be the CP3 trade but that is not going to happen with the Hornets playing the way they are right now. Most of those trades involves the Rockets talking a massive multi-year deal back which would be silly IMO given that the Rockets won't be able to contend and will end up with less flexibility.
Randolph is terrible, yes he has unique skillset but he has horrendous BBIQ which translates into bad decision making and alot of hestiancy on the court. On Wallace, the Bobcats are on record in saying that he is regarded as their lone untouchable.
Exactly! Any trade that cost us our first round picks better be a superstar, because there will be a lot of angry fans if the Rockets enter the lottery without a pick to show for it.
bleacher report is always funny...i would give anything for cp3...but thats not happening, and iggy would fit well.
