Do you think Josh Smith could fit with the Rockets and fill our defensive void?

I'll trade Brooks if they add this years first round pick on the deal.

    Something like,

    Brooks(s&t 6 million)+Jeffries+Hill and Rox 2nd

    for

    Baron Davis+Craig Smith+ Clips 2011 1st round pick

I think they can bite it as they need a pg.

Brooks, Gordon, Whatever, Griffin, Kaman looks nice.

Oh God, now i saw Clips payroll and they owe 15 million to Baron for 3 years from now, now i'm sure they will do this trade without hesitation.

Pure point guards are hard to find.... and very valuable....

I'd Take on Gilbert Arena's Contract before Baron Davis's.

Okay so IF, and only IF, the team is struggling and looks like it might either be a low seed or not even a playoff team then moving Yao and getting something for him has to become an option.

After watching last night's OKC/Portland game, its obvious that while OKC will be a very good team, the Thunder need an interior presence badly to take the next step against the Lakers, Celtics, Magic and Heat.

Rox get Jeff Green, James Harden and Nick Collison
    - Rox get a young stud to place in his rightful position of SF along with another asset in James Harden and Collison who is an expiring contract. Green might be a 20-8 guy waiting to happen and can actually DEFEND.

Thunder get Yao Ming and Chase Budinger
    - Thunder get a STRONG interior defender who can work well with Durant and Westbrook. Inside presence to take pressure off Durant and Westbrook along with getting them easy buckets. Budinger will take Harden's spot in their rotation as they are similar players.

Money wise, OKC might be after Yao this offseason anyway if the Rox let him go and they have the capspace to make him an attractive offer. Green much like Brooks is a restricted FAgent so Rox have a say in what happens to Green.

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Lee
    Green/Harden
    Scola/Hill
    Dampier/Miller

*Battier, Hayes and Jeffries would play vs certain matchups and late in games for defensive purposes. Against smaller lineups, Lee or Harden can play at the 3, Green can slide to 4 and Scola to 5

    Brooks or Lowry
    Martin
    Lee or Harden
    Green
    Scola

    Westbrook
    Durant
    Sefolosha
    Ibaka
    Yao

I highly doubt the Rockets would move Yao, but even if they did I think you overestimate his current value. I doubt the Thunder give up Harden for that package, but could see them agreeable to moving Green.

The time is now to trade with the Bobcats. They pretty much suck, the way we do ...

Upgrade the SF spot is a goal for the Rockets, upgrade the PG spot is a goal for the Bobcats .. so here's the deal:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2dme4ty

    * Rockets:
Rockets trade: S. Battier, A. Brooks , trade exception of T. Ariza and two draftpicks (a 1st round and a 2nd round).
Rockets receive: G. Wallace (Bobcats) and D. Gibson (Cavs)
Why do the Rockets this: Brooks isn't the guy to run this team, Lowry is a better fit (defensive). Gibson provides us with a scoring PG option from the bench. G. Wallace is definitely an upgrade, he plays hard-nosed defense and has more offensive skills than Battier, obviously.

    * Bobcats:
Bobcats trade: G. Wallace and G. Henderson
Bobcats receive: A. Books (Rockets), S. Battier (Rockets), A. Parker (Cavs), a first round draftpick of the Knicks (Rockets).
Why do the Bobcats this: Brooks is the guy the Bobcats want to run the team, he is a 'shoot first' PG and that is what Brown wants (an Iverson look a like). Adding veteran players like Battier and Parker is something they need, players that are professional on and of the court. Brown would love those guys. Getting also a 1st round draftpick is the cherry on the cake for them.

    * Cavs:
Cavs trade: A. Parker and D. Gibson
Bobcats receive: G. Henderson (Bobcats), J. Taylor (Rockets), the trade exception of T. Ariza (Rockets) and a second round draftpick (Rockets).
Why do the Cavs this: Gibson is their 3th PG, back-up of Mo Williams and R. Sessions. He plays more SG for them because of his scoring ability. Giving up Parker isn't a big deal for them, he is an expiring contract that they probably will not resign in the offseason. Adding Taylor and Henderson would give them a boost from the bench: they can run the floor, score in many ways and play defense (I guess). Giving up Gibson could be their biggest concern, but when they receive two young players (SG's) in return, a 2nd round draft pick and a trade exception (about $ 4.0 mil) ... I guess, they pull the trigger and help the Rockets and Bobcats in this trade.

So the line-up of the Rockets:
    PG: Lowry/Gibson/Smith
    SG: Martin/Lee
    SF: Wallace/Budinger/Jeffries
    PF: Scola/Hill/Hayes
    C: Yao/Dampier/Miller

    (Patterson: Vipers?)

I badly want to ship Battier out...his famous D is nowhere to be found...G. Wallace and Iggy as a replacement would be ok.

I wonder if it is still possible to ship out a pick and prospect for Wilson Chandler. Probably not due to his play right now though. I think he could fit nicely though.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT IDEA.

but wilson cannot hit 3's...that that rules him out completely.

but battier cant hit 3's OR layups...or anything other than his wife at night...so I dunno

He is a pretty poor 3 shooter, but his defense is pretty good and he isn't atrocious on the offensive end.

I'm not sure what it would take to pry him from the Knicks though. If they were on the verge of trading for Melo, I think we may be able to get him away with a the 2011 pick and filler.

Rumors among Minny fans is that Kevin Love is tired of losing and isnt a big fan of Beasely.

I don't know much about his game but I think he has the tools to be a good high post player in the Adelman offense.

Love isn't happy but I don't see Kahn letting go of their only player of value so easy.

He has been whining a lot recently though and its getting on my nerves.

Isn't Love basically a younger Scola, from what I've seen they are about the same player, no?

Detroit and Atlanta are rumored to working on a trade moving Crawford and Teague for Prince but that would leave the Hawks very limited in the backcourt soooooooo............

    Rox get Josh Smith
    - Smith plays at PF and Scola moves to the bench as a dynamite 1-2 punch.

Hawks get Prince, AB and Jeffries
    - Prince becomes their defensive stopper while AB gives them a nice backup or starter at the point. Hawks also get a nice expiring deal.

Pistons get Crawford, Teague and Taylor
    - Pistons get a scorer and expiring deal along with 2 prospects.

    Lowry/Ish
    Martin/Lee
    Battier/Bud
    Smith/Scola
    Yao/Hill

Looking at what Hill brings with his energy and shotblocking I think the Rockets should build on that and roll the dice on JaVale McGee.

It'll cost the Rockets some assets but I think he is worth it for a 3 big man rotation.

    Hinrich, Brooks/Smith
    Martin, Lee/Brooks
    Battier, Budinger/Lee/McGee
    Scola, McGee, Hayes
    Yao, (McGee), Miller

Trade pieces: Hill, 2Pat, Lowry, Taylor, Jeffries, & NY picks.
