If there is no statistical drop or increase doesn't this mean the fouls are lessened? Everybody and their mother is saying in the playoffs players are physical. If they are more physical yet the rate of foul calls are the same doesn't this mean there is a decrease on fouls called, or at least what counts as a foul? Lowry getting hit and chucking the ball might be a foul in the reg season, but unless he flops that might not be called in the playoffs.
Well, I'd like to see stats on that. The games do become slower and more grind-it-out affairs, in which case drawing fouls would be pretty important, since easy and open shots are harder to come by.

No? It means there is no statistical drop or increase...kinda just what you asked. If it doesnt go up or down, then it obviously remains the same.
I think what he is saying is that if players play more physical (i.e. the number of times they bulldoze into the paint goes up) in the playoffs, but the number of foul calls remains unchanged then the percentage of times a player will get a foul call in the playoffs when they "bulldoze into the paint" is actually lower (number of fouls called/number of times they "bulldoze into the paint"). I am not totally sold on this just trying to clarify things. I would want to see some numbers on this and I am not quite sure how you quantify "more physical".
The playoffs are all about exposing the other guys weaknesses, and glaring weaknesses like not being able to shoot will get hyper exposed. DD
Denver: G. Arenas, S. Battier, J. Taylor, picks Washington: Jr Smith, Ish. Smith, J. Jefferies Houston: Melo and filler Expert analysis starts below
Houston won't be able to do a 2 for 1 deal unless there is a third team involved. I wonder if they would be interested in a Dahntay Jones for non-guaranteed contracts and future second though.

4-Way Trade: Houston, Philly, NY, Sac Town What do you guys think it would take to make this trade, or a similar trade, happen? Spoiler Final Line-Up: Yao/Miller/Turiaf Scola/Landry/Hayes Iggy/Budinger Martin/Lee Brooks/Lowry/Smith P.S. Spoiler New York would get back their 2012 1st Rounder to use in Carmelo trade.
Pacers/Rockets Trade Rockets receive: Danny Granger Pacers receive: Patrick Patterson(2010 Lottery pick), Shane Battier, 2012 NY pick, 2012 HOU 2nd rd pick I think by the trade deadline the Pacers are going to be out of the playoff race, and will be willing to move Granger's contract for expiring, draft picks and a young talented player. Plus they all ready have a young version of Granger, 27, in Paul George, 20, who is on his rookie contract saving them ton's of money in the next couple of years.
Maybe the worst use of all of our front office intelligence acquiring those draft picks would be to give them away along with Patterson to receive Granger.
You really think that's too much to give up for Granger? I would do that deal in an instant. Patterson will take a while to develop and wont be anywhere near as good as Granger already is. If the Knicks sign Melo the 2012 pick we own is going to be worth very little, not to mention that Denver could trade him before the season is over and the 2011 swap may have less value. Brooks/Lowry Martin/Lee Granger/Budinger Scola/Hayes Yao/Miller we got those two picks for Mcgrady's expiring sp basically if we turned McGrady/Landry into Granger/Martin/Hill I would say we made out like bandits! Now if we could include Jeffries instead of Battier that would be even better.
That's not enough for Granger. Granger's a proven talent, and could only get better. The Pacers have been out of the playoffs for years. They need to add talent now, not keep rebuilding.
That's enough value-wise I think, but the Pacers are just going to raise the price. As much asIlike his game, I don't think Granger is worth it---unless we only give up patterson, lowry, hill. which is unlikely
yeah, watching other games to see whos getting better and getting worse. dont worry, i've been watching your trades! lol
