Do you think Josh Smith could fit with the Rockets and fill our defensive void?

No way Yao gets traded in the Les Alexander era.

He's gonna retire a Rocket whether fans like it or not.

You think cousins will bring in money like Yao to make it worth a trade? To make it even worth the thought of that trade? I agree with asidd_1990, its gonna take a change of management

Cousins will bring black money cuz he's black and not Chinese. There are a lot of Chinese people but most of them in Asia, there are more black people in the U.S. and Cousins appeal to them!

Patterson+Jordan Hill+Jared Jeffries for Josh Smith.

We trade in a lot of our depth in the front court here, but we keep out draft picks and still have a lot of assets.

We bring in a strong defensive player who adds shot blocking and an athletic dimension we dont have. He can slide to the 4 in a lot of matchups. If we were to get Smith, we would have to start him.

    Yao/Miller/Hayes
    Scola/Smith/Hayes
    Smith/Battier/Budinger
    Martin/Lee
    Brooks/Lowry

The trade does not follow the 125% rule. The only time this doesn't apply is if teams are under the cap. The Wizards are the only one under the cap.

Les Alexander Era? I think he'll stay the owner and itll probably be so that the rockets would be kept by the family even if he passes

and send NY's picks to denver.

Hou out: Jeffries, Hill, Hayes and NY picks
    Hou in: Iguodala, Birdman

    Den out: Melo, Birdman
Den in: Jeffries, Hill, Gallinari, Turiaf and NY picks

NY out: Gallinari, Curry, Chandler, Turiaf
    NY in: Melo, Hayes

    Philly in: Chandler, Curry
    Philly out: Iguodala

why for Houston? Consolidation move and acquire another center capable of starting.

why for Denver? They get the picks they want from Houston. They get young talent Gallinari and Hill. They get expirings in Jeffries and Turiaf.

why for NY? They get Melo without having to give up Randolph.

why for Philly? they get and expiring in Eddy curry, half of his salary is already paid, and a cheaper younger guy at the 3 spot in Chandler.

That Knicks pick is worthless if Melo ends up in NY for any scenario.

This isn't a trade but how about the rockets sign oberto ? He can play center and probably would come cheap. He did play for Argentina.

That would be a better pickup than Dampier.

I like the idea of Gerald Wallace here. He is Moreys typo of player statistically. Everything about intangibles. Can score and defend. Rebound which a weakness at times for us. Does the scoring we wanted out of Ariza. Does the Defense we expected out of Battier. All around the perfect Rocket. if I am not mistaken even played under Adelman once.

I really think that we will be aggressive if Andre Iguadola becomes someone Philly is willing to trade.

    Brooks/Smith/Lee
    Martin/Lee/Budinger
    AI/Battier/Budinger
    Scola/Hayes/Hill
    Yao/Miller/Hill

Is pretty strong, especially considering we would still be ok depth wise. If Lowry would want to go to Philly, I would send Lowry+Jeffries+Taylor+Patterson+1st rounder in 2012.
