Nazr may be a bit old but he's far more than just a serviceable center, the man really produces when he's out on the court with a defensive minded squad (would fit fine here in Houston). However, you can make the case that since we have Brad Miller giving up a first is a tad expensive. Personally I think Nazr is better than Miller but meh.
This trade doesn't work under the salary cap. Mohammed's salary (which is identical to Jared Jeffries's salary) is larger than the amount of the Ariza trade exception. On a related note, I would not be opposed to exchanging overpaid 2006 MLE signees (Jeffries for Mohammed).
Its only off by half a million, I assumed that it was within the 10% rule but I guess not. Would love a Jeffries for Mohammed swap but doubt Charlotte goes for it.
With trade exceptions, the most salary that can fit into them is 100% of the exception amount + $100,000. I believe you're thinking of the general trade rule that salaries (not trade exceptions) need to match within 125% + $100,000.
Nazr wont be traded, because they just lost damp and kwame is injured, right now nazr is all they got.
I know this question has been asked several times, but is getting Randolph worth getting Curry? I mean Curry would be another big body to help with minutes right?
Randolph isn't coming here anyways. NY isn't willing to give him up for Melo, what makes you think they'll give him up for our trash?
Earlier i was referring to the rumor from the early part of the off-season about NY wanting Jeffries back and dangling Curry for him. BTW, i forgive you for what you said about Randolph. I would never screw him.
ASidd_1990 - I think you broke the trade machine. Not sure how you sent 4.6 over to the 76ers and took back 12.8 since they are over the cap. I guess the machine is swapping Rockets within the Wizards/76ers trade since the Wizards are under the cap.
I mean, this trade works out with everyone. We instantly upgrade defensively at the PG and SF spot and don't really lose our offense. Hinrich isn't a slouch on the offensive end and his three point shooting precentage last season was at around 37% compared to Brooks 39%. Iguodala at this point in his career is a far superior defender than Battier and is an upgrade at offense. The Wizards get back a strong locker room presence and some much needed vet leadership in the wake of the Arenas debacle who could guide Wall and keep Blatche's head straight. They also get back Jeffries who is a good defender and a mentor to Blatche and McGee. The Sixers do it to shed Iguodala's salary and get back a good point guard who could also play some 2 guard. They also get back a good big man prospect in Hill.
Jordan Hill+Jared Jeffries+3 Million Cash+Jordan Egleseder(Bad Ass Kaman Tribe prospect) for Emeka Okafor and first rounder next year. Yao/Miller/Hayes Scola/Okafor/Patterson Even if Yao went down we would still be deep as obviously Okafor is more of a center than a PF and can play either. And we add a second first round pick this year.
I dont see the bold part as true but vice versa. He is 6-10. Yes he can play C but that doesnt make him more of a c then pf. the guy has 4 years left on his contract limiting us big time. Usually when taking on big and bad contracts you get the money/cash and the prospects. I wouldnt mind the peeps were giving up but we need to be the ones recieving cash considerations, give another pick, either next years right to swap or next next years pick straight out and also Quincy Pondexter (no 26 draft pick) and then I would do it.
First i'm not saying it will happen, but if Yao is traded where do you think he'll end up? What team would want to make a move for him, and what is his real value despite his injury history. If he was to be traded, what is the asking price you think? What is his real value to a team willing to take him on. Do you think he would be moved to Sac town perhapes for Cousins? They do seem to be our favorite trading partner.
