That's what I am thinking as well. This kid can become a really good player. It is a shame he is coached by D'Antoni, though.
AI isn't worth all of that....sorry. Unless your talking about the version of AI that used to play for the 76s back in 2000. Now that guy was worth all of that.
If the Knicks and Sixers do a straight up swap of Melo for Iggy (which was reported earlier), our two first round picks are worthless. It's basically Battier, Jeffries and Hill for Iggy. Brooks Martin Igoudala Scola Yao Lowry Lee Budinger Patterson Miller Dampier or Fesenko Hayes Smith I don't know about you but if this deal is available, we'd be lucky.
This just in... @STEIN_LINE_HQ RT @reallisa: Philadelphia Daily News reporting that Nuggets and Sixers are discussing a trade involving Carmelo Anthony + Andre Igoudala @STEIN_LINE_HQ RT @nuggetsnews: League source said Nugs have been in contact w Philly about possible Iguodala/Melo deal
sooooooo... we give up picks, shane, hill, jeff for iggy? thats too steep.. leave the picks out of it or keep hill one or the other, thats why you do a 4 team trade each team compensates and accounts for something each team wants
I like it, Iggy is a much better fit then Melo. For the first time Iggy wont need to be the #1 option and has scorers all around him. He can play playmaker/slasher and bring the ball up for us occasionally and lock down the other teams best wing player. Iggy fits like a glove imo and Rockets are loaded this year he'd be our #5 option behind Yao/Martin/Brooks/Scola
I'm all for Iggy, he would be a great passer in our system and we could really use a good passer out on the wing...
Imo Iggy fits better and brings what they lack out on the perimeter without Lowry is toughness and durability. He can focus on running the offense occasionally and let Brooks become more of the scorer. When Lowry is on the floor he can convert to a scorer with Budinger or Lee. I like Iggy, i would be willing to sacrifise a future pick for him. I think he brings versatility to our line-up and leadership. He also has a good head on his shoulders and hates to lose and loves winning. Overall with Martin and Brooks he can focus more on running the offense and defense and play Pippen role. In this offense he's also likely to light it up imo. He's dynamic and brings grit and toughness and a winning spirit i like the idea.
It may be too much to give up for Iggy but I agree he fits like a glove. I do think two picks, hill, battier and jeffries is too much to give up for just iggy. I think a package of hill, jeffries and the 2012 pick from NY should be good enough. I'm sure Iggy doesn't enjoy his team being open to trading him and if Philly doesn't end up getting Melo maybe they will consider trading it for the above mentioned package.
