Thank you, sir, for proposing a trade that both makes sense for both teams AND could conceivably happen. (But I bet Utah just keeps Fesenko.)
If Utes knock off $8mm or so by swapping AK-47 for the French Fatso then the financial factor for jazz is obviated and Fesenko is destined for the Salt Lakers.
I am thinking that any Nene and Billups trade is off the table, at least for the moment. Denver seems to be getting Favors, who is a project, but also a very capable SF in Kirilenko. So they'll probably try to stay in the playoffs for another year, before deciding where the team should go as various contracts expire. They might change their mind, but not until some games are played, I think.
He's still good trade bait (for something better than Fesenko) or could still come over in a year or two if one of Brooks or Lowry is ever traded. I'd rather hold onto Llull for one of those two purposes.
Yeah. Look at it this way. If you had Jefferson on your team would you be willing to give up a backup center? Remember, Jefferson has been less than 100% or outright injured for a while now.
HOU: Fesenko (S&T) for TE Jazz: Taylor for TE + Johnson (non-guaranteed) via min except. Deron, Watson, Price, Bell, Miles, Taylor AK47, Hayward, Evans Millsap, (AK47), Johnson Jefferson, Elson, Okur/injured
*4 Team Melo Trade* with rockets help - tryin to be fair I know, I know.....another melo thread.....but, let's say we do somewhat of a swap. someone that people aren't mentioning are the 76er's who want to shed their payroll like no other. such as last season with iggy being shopped around with no takers for the tag-on of brand. but.....what if they're gonna do it now. my suggestion is a four team trade between us, philly, denver, new york. New York gets: Melo, Brand Rockets get: Turiaf, Randolph, JR Smith, and Gallinari Denver Gets: Iguodala, kapono, Toney Douglas, Wilson Chandler Philly Gets: eddy Curry (expiring), azubuike, jordan hill, jeffries, Battier Why this works: New york gets melo, but has to swallow elton brands albatross contract. elton brand is still serviceable too, but his numbers don't validate the amount of money he gets paid. we gain depth at center and get the prospects of anthony randolph and gallinari. i think jr smith is a somewhat viable end of game threat as he can shoot and launch with the best of them. i would be sad to see battier go but......let's face it, he's getting a tad old. as well as not really messing up the chemistry with any of our main role players except for battier.....who again has decreasing minutes. We also still keep our draft picks since denver is still maintaining a solid roster, and new york should still be mediocre. perhaps the option to trade picks with philly if the new york pick is worse than the philly pick Philly is happy because they literally shed 31.5 mil off the books after this season as well as gaining a 3 point threat in azubuike and a prospect in jordan hill. denver actually remains revelant in this deal....they obtain a sf that can play d to replace carmello and an extremely strong complimentary piece in andre iguodala next to chauncey. line-ups would be: New York: Felton/Andy Rautins Roger Mason/Landry Fields Carmello/Bill Walker Brand/Patrick Ewing Jr./Williams Amare/Mozgov Denver: Chauncey/Lawson/Toney Douglas Iguodala/Afflalo Wilson Chandler/Kapono Kenyon Martin/Balkman NeNe/Birdman Houston: Brooks/Lowry Kevin Martin/Courtney Lee/JR Smith Gallinari/Chase Budinger/PatPat Scola/Randolph/Hayes Yao/Miller/Turiaf
Philly lineup: Jrue Holiday / Lou Williams Evan turner / Azubuike Thaddeus Young / Battier Nocioni / Jordan Hill / Jeffries Marreese Speights / Spencer Hawes /
