My Melo trade to Houston My Melo trade to Houston is a three-way trade involving Houston,Denver,Golden State Hou gets :Melo and Balkman DEN gets :Monta Ellis and Battier+7 mill Trade Exception+Hou "12" 1st round pick+Hou "13" 1st pick on the condition that Anthony resigns or signs an extension with the Rockets GS gets:J.R Smith and Jarred Jeffries http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2cvp6pl it works outs for all three teams Golden State continues the fire sale they currently have going on and the also get a bigger 2 guard in Smith thats can play in there offense and depth wit Jeffries both at least one year rentals. Denver seems likely to loose Melo anyway so they gets a young bonified scorer at the 2 spot in Ellis and a versatile, top defender in Battier also a great team mate. A big trade exception of 7 million dollars and a 2012 1st round pick + a 2013 1st round pick with a condition of Melo stay in Houston after the seasons over. Houston well we all know what Houston gets a superstar in Melo enough said and all they give up is Battier,Jeffries, and 1 or 2 1st round picks great thing is the keep their 2013 pick if Melo leaves for free agency and they still would have that valuable 2011 1st round pick . give me your feed back and all hater don't comment this is a rockets fans site save the girly comments to your self
noobs lookup sarcasm. and if I read it correctly, you advocate trading two consecutive first round picks, which is illegal according to NBA rules.
well i saw it like this they are getting a lot by getting rid of Monta Ellis contract since the are trying to sell the team. less payroll means the least money the new buyer will have to spend if they by the team and u get Jr Smith he seem like a bigger Ellis if he gets 40 minutes a game he probably could put up big nunmbers two
with a trade with this many players involved, it is THEORETICALLY possible(havent bothered to figure out how, I just dont care enough) to have one of the movements be just the TPE for one of the incoming players(as a seperate trade). Not bloody likely, but theoretically doable.
YOU do the math, it aint my idea. What anchel is referring to is the NBA rule that says you cant combine a TE with a player in a trade. Are you disputing this? I simpply told anchel that it was POSSIBLE to rig a trade such as this in multiple parts so that the TE was used for one player(as it is intended)...also, you have not answered to your attempt to trade two consecutive first round picks(which is also illegal). what say you noob?
first off dummy i didnt say to combine a trade exception .If the nuggets trade Melo,Smith and Balkman they combine for 25.6 mill and they get Ellis and Battier only those two combine for 18.4 mill thats 7.2 million dollars difference there for denver gets a trade exception the nugget will be taking in less than the give out 25.6-18.4=7.2 do the math
you know.... I like this trade a lot more than the trade sugessted where we had to give up martin...so props my man
maybe but give up battier ,jj,one first round pick hes worth it for one year just like artest was two years ago
