Sorry, the guy isn't worth it IMO ... http://www.nba.com/playerfile/charlie_villanueva/career_stats.html Do you see improvement in his stats? I'd rather develop Hill and Patterson more!
Why would they trade Prince for a second round pick? That's basically the trade you're proposing. They don't care about Battier or Jefferies, they're just there to make the salaries work and will be gone when their contracts expire. I think you're underestimating Prince because he's not the franchise player in the mold of Iggy or Wallace. Those teams have little reason to trade Iggy or Wallace as they are franchise players in their prime with time on their contracts.
sigh, they never learn.... Phillie receives Battier Hill A. Johnson J. Taylor Detroit receives J. Jeffries Jason Smith Houston receives A. Iggy Charlie V. Austin Daye I have thought of many ways.....
All right, how about two 2nd round draft picks ... Detroit isn't a contender anymore, since the day they traded Billups away ... they are cleaning the house: Hamilton and Prince are on the way out and I honestly don't think they want much in return. Clearing cap space, adding young talent (draft + free agency) and rebuilding ... Detroit is T-Mac's town now, you didn't knew? He might wants his buddy Battier back to play next to him ... that way he doesn't have to play defense anymore for the rest of his career! By the way, I can understand you're calling G. Wallace a franchise player for Charlotte but Iggy isn't Philly's franchise player anymore and I'm not sure he ever was ...
It's actually kinda fun looking at all the possibilities our new TE creates on the trade machine.
All I want is AI and we have to give up Jeffries, Trade Exception, and Taylor then let's make it happen.
Phillie gets Battier Jeffries Taylor Washington gets Jason Smith Hill Houston gets Iggy J. McGee On the better side of the tax!!
Sorry.... Line-up Brooks/Lowry/Ish Martin/Lee/Brooks? Iggy/Bud Scola/Hayes/Pat Yao/Miller/McGee Sounds like a winner!
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5465047 Well, lets hope doesn't. I'm just praying for a Nuggets collapse.
JJeffries + filler for Hinrich (Hinrich similar as Lowry regarding PG duties, only better half court offense and better 3 pt shooting).... Then.... Kmart+Lowry for Joe Johnson....... (JJ better D and court vision than KM)..... What would you think of the roster if such trades would be possible? (IMHO, we have enough sweeteners in forms of picks and/or cheap young talent to make them happen).... PG: Hinrich, Brooks (with perhaps more mintues than Hinrich, scoring punch from the bench) SG: Joe Johnson, Lee SF: Battier, Budinger PF: Scola, Patteron, Hayes C: Yao, Miller, Hill (if not traded as sweetener) Don't you think this roster would be more balanced, with better court vision and defense on the backcourt?

your master plan is to pick up the 6 yr, 120Mil joe johnson contract after all the flexibility Morey has built into this team?
You have to look at trades that make sense for the other teams as well (unless it involves Kahn of course). Why does Washington do this?
