Hawks will have $52 million committed after this upcoming season. Horford's max will be around $13 million.
I would imagine the fact that the Hawks moved Josh Smith from SF to PF and told him to stop shooting the jumper is what gave him the idea. It wasn't until the Hawks made this adjustment that Smith really started to thrive and the NBA began to notice. See above.
Smith's better as a PF and less effective when playing as a SF. he's a top 10 PF in the league right now. not a bench guy but with scola here, it wouldn't work. I rather have gerald wallace.
I think Smith could be effective starting at small forward or power forward for our team. I would give ATL Ariza+Hill+2012 first rounder if they would take it.
Agreed. If there is an upgrade to be made, right now, its not going to be at the PF/C positions. A Danny Granger, Gerald Wallace at the SF would be the most beneficial upgrade.

Like I posted in the earlier thread we should go after Lee as a backup guard to Martin than someone like Rudy. He is a good shooter who is a great defender for his size. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5485380&postcount=69 But I think giving up both Battier and Hill is too much for Lee.
Eric Gordon for Chase Budinger Jermaine Taylor + both non-guarantee contracts of Mike Harris Alex Johnson We get a legit, young stud 2 guard with all-star potential that isn't getting as much recognition as he should cause he's playing for the Clippers to back-up or take Martins spot if later he gets injured again/ gets traded.
I would do that trade for T Williams in a nano-second. He has good skill everywhere. But he has real ELITE atheleticism which puts his ceiling over the top. I watched him in the Orlando league and he was by far better than anyone out there. T-Will can be as good as Iggy if not better cause he already handles than him.
Hmmm. Interesting proposition, with Henry confirmed as having been on the Rockets' radar at #14 and with the Grizzlies being stingy with his contract offer. I don't know what it would take. The guy was the #12 overall pick, so I don't think one future first rounder will cut it (unless it's the Knicks' 2011 swap pick, maybe). I'd be willing to offer the 2011 second rounder (higher of Rockets' or Clippers' pick) and the higher of the Rockets' two 2012 first rounders (top-8? protected; if the pick falls in the top 8, Grizzlies get the lower of the two picks). Nice idea. Probably won't happen, though.
My gut feeling is Heisley will not budge and not offer a higher contract to Henry and especially with a glut of Guards and Fowards like Gay, Allen, Young and Mayo, I just don't see any playing time for Henry. I think his agent will try to work something out to get his client out of Memphis.
