The Bulls would never ever do that trade. They don't have any use for Battier or Miller.

What do you guys think of a Joel Przybila-Brooks+Filler swap? Pryzbilla makes around KM money (~10M) so we'll probably have to package Jeffries' expiring to make it work, but as far as center prospects go I think he's a pretty solid target to get. At 31 years old he's perfect for our core of Scola-Martin and he's basically a specialist, all he really does is take up space, defend the paint and rebound shots. I think he'll also be cheaper to get than Nene. What do you guys think of Brooks+Hill+Jeffries for Przybilla?

I like Przybilla as a center, but I'd rather hold on to Brooks. I think when he starts playing better, he should be able to get you more than a Przybilla type player.

Brooks is due to make anywhere from 6-9M a year next year. I'd rather spend that money on Przy than on a 6thman, which at this point is what Brooks is.

I just think we'd be selling low on a player whose more talented than the one we're receiving. If all else is equal, you go with the height. All else isn't equal; Brooks is a much better player than Przy and he doesn't have the injury history Przy carries with him.

Two years ago, Aaron Brooks was one of the most important players on a team that advanced past the first round for the first time in over a decade; they also took the eventual champs to seven games. I'm not going to trade him for Joel friggin Przybilla because he got a bad ankle injury and our backup pg showed he makes a damn good starter as well.

Ok so the Nugz want Felton, Gallo, and Curry for Melo and Billups.

Maybe we can jump in on this and send AB to NY and receive Nene back.

    Something like:

    NY trades Felton, Gallo, Curry
    NY receives Melo and AB
    Nugz trade Melo and Nene
Nugz receive Felton, Gallo, and Curry
    Rocks trade AB
    Rocks receive Nene

Not sure if salaries match but you get the general idea.

AB's value is pretty low. I would do it. Nugz probably won't.

INDEED....Looks very solid batkins. Defensive presence at the 1,3,5 positions and solid offense at the 2 and 4 with great flexibility and youth coming off the bench. Props to you once again.

Rockets send Martin and Budinger to Pacers, receive Granger
Why the Pacers would do this: Granger's production is down this season, and the Pacers could easily recoup the loss of his scoring through Martin, and move Posey into the starting lineup at the 3.

Rockets send Hill, Jeffries, C. Landry trade exception and picks to Nuggets, receive Nene
Why the Nuggets would do this: The Nuggets clear up cap space through Jeffries' expiring and get young talent in Hill (though they might prefer Patterson, which would still be worth it but I think he'll be better than Hill so I'd rather trade Hill). They also get a pick for rebuilding.

    That makes our starting lineup

    Lowry
    Lee
    Granger
    Scola
    Nene

with Brooks as the first scorer off the bench, along with TWill, Battier, Miller. Hayes for situational defending.

I feel like Lee will emerge as a legitimate SG if given starter minutes. I think he can up his PPG to around 15, on 3PT shooting close to 40% and an overall FG% near 47%. He would be an outstanding second option on the perimeter, with Granger taking the lion's share of the perimeter scoring.

While Nene's not a lockdown defender, he'll patrol the paint more effectively than anyone else we have right now. Right now with Denver, his rebounding numbers are lower than he's capable of putting up, simply because Melo grabs so many rebounds at the 3 position (8 per game). He's also a good passing big that would flourish in Adelman's system; I could see his APG rate doubling (from 2 to 4). His presence in the middle would also help to negate Scola's defensive faults.

If Brooks can get his game straight and accept the Manu/Barbosa/Jason Terry role of a scoring sparkplug off the bench, our second unit would be solid. In an ideal situation, TWill would emerge as the facilitator he thinks he can be, allowing Brooks to play off the ball a bit more and get set up for open looks. There's also Miller, who's capable of facilitating the second unit as well. Battier and Hayes could play more or less minutes, depending on matchups.

    Thoughts?

1.HOU trades Battier, Jeffries, B.Miller to LAL for Bynum and Artest
--Lakers panic, get crazy relief, and set themselves up to lure Howard.

2.HOU trades Artest, C.Budinger, J.Hill to PHX for Childress and Grant Hill
--Suns look to rebuild and use crazy Ron as a fan distraction.

3.HOU trades K.Martin, A.Brooks to MIN; C. Lee to MEM
MIN trades W. Johnson to HOU; L.Ridnour to ATL; M.Webster to MEM
ATL trades Jeff Teague, Maurice Evans to HOU
MEM trades OJ Mayo, Hamed Haddadi to HOU,

I think there are so many things that the Rox can do this trade deadline.

    1. Yao, Hill, filler, pick for Nene and Harrington.
It gives Den the cap relief + insurance money, a young big, and a draft pick for Nene. Houston will take Harrington in a side deal for the Ariza T.E.
Taking money is not a big deal for Hou, and this trade upgrades our roster instantly without losing much talent for this year.

    2. Mayo + Thabeet + Haddai for Lee + Miller + Battier.
This solidifies Mem for the playoffs this year as they can sneak into the 7th/8th spot.

Love this as well, if only Morey could figure out a way to add Nene as well then it would be perfect.
