Don't Steve Nash and Yao share the same agent? I think his name is Bill Duffy?

Anyways I can see Duffy trying to get his client out of Phoenix after Amare's departure and go play for a contender, more specifically on the same team as his other client Yao.

Brooks + Battier + salary dump of Harris + Johnson and maybe Taylor for Nash + Grant Hill

    Rockets:

    Nash/Lowry
    Martin/Budinger
    Hill/Ariza
    Scola/Hill/Patterson
    Yao/Miller/Hayes

    Suns:

    Dragic/Brooks
    Childress/Richardson/Taylor
    Battier/Dudley
    Turkoglu/Warrick
    Lopez/Frye

Out of all the names that have been bantered about with hope in this thread I prefer Josh Smith. Of course I would take a CP3, Granger or Dwill before him, but I like him as a half way plausible option.

Guy upgrades our shotblocking immediately, but does so from the three (I think he would start at SF here.) Also our athleticism gets a shot in the arm and he is pretty good on offense and got a lot smarter last year. He can also play backup PF at times and matchup depending.

Would you guys do Ariza+Hill+Johnson+Harris+Rockets 2012 first rounder for Smith?

Smith has some plus points, but you're giving up more than I would for him. He can replace Hill easily, but I would like to see if Ariza can improve on his 3 point shooting. Trevor can also improve as a defender. Smith is more talented without a doubt, but I don't think he matches up defensively at the 3,he also lacks a consistent outside shot. I do like his shot blocking and athleticism though.

With the loss of David "trade fodder" Andersen, i've had to mix up a few trade ideas but here you go...
Earlier i mentioned Bud, Hill, Jeffries, A. Johnson, 2012 pick and cash for Iggy and Speights

    then

Brooks, Battier( with promise of buyout for picks and cash ), NY 2011 pick and cash for Granger

Get Ish to back up Lowry

    Lowry/ Ish
    Martin/ Iggy/ JT
    Granger/ Ariza/ Battier?
    Scola/ Chuck/ Patman
    Yao/ Miller/ Speights

Two good teams in one!! ;) ;)

Why do we give them extra bodies if they have to down size?

    1) Cant keep assuming teams will b/o Battier.
    2) Would you do that trade honestly? A combo of 30/10 for the change were offering...not to mention two of thier starters for what now would be our 6th man and someone were trying to train at the center spot.... come on now.

    G. State is looking to rid themselves of those two contracts. I felt with all expirings, picks, cash, and young talent coming their way would prompt a trade. I think it would benefit both teams. Ellis and Biedrins are both 24 yrs. old. The only problem i see with this is who will start Ellis or Martin.

only thing is they arent scrubs, they can both put up good numbers and when that happens, teams what something in return. Battier is a good expiring, he can still play and is good mentor but the others?

rebuilding means they want young in return for proven players.

Your gonna have to add Chase and maybe Patrick instead of that AJ guy.

Expanding on the Dunleavy, Rolle, and first rounder trade idea.

Adelman comfortable with an 8-9 man rotation. Yao's situation expands it to 10-11? In any case only 12 active players, 2 players won't get off the bench.

    11 man rotation?<table border="1" width="400" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>PG: Brooks, Lowry
    SG: Martin, Budinger
    SF: Ariza, Battier
    PF: Scola, Hayes, Patterson
    C: Miller, Yao</td>
    <td>PG:
    SG: Taylor (DNP/inactive)
    SF: Jeffries (inactive)
    PF:
    C: Hill (DNP/inactive)</td></tr></table>
With Scola able to play some minutes a C and Miller at PF. Hill pushed further back at both positiions? Sitting a lottery pick in his second season hinders his development and trade value? Not dumping Hill but parlay into future and other assets.

Why Morey no sign DJ Mbenga? Now Andersen gone. Have open roster spot. Why no Mbenga?

Why Miami Heat no sign DJ Mbena? Champion!

    Ummmmm,

I love this trade. Just as is. We give up Hill for Rolle and another first. We give up Ariza for an expiring Dunleavy (who is a superior player). This replaces the loss of Andersen's $2.5 mill expiring contract and adds a draft pick. It effectively gives us Dunleavy plus Battier plus Chuck as expiring dollars to add to 3 first round draft picks, Bud, and Brooks to go after Chris Paul with.

    Ummmmm,

Might want to re-read the trade scenario. Ariza isn't part of a package.

    Draft Pick is 2013.

And I thought we still only have one draft pick this year, just the right to swap.

Rockets need a long term solution at center. We have the perfect team built around a dominant big man, but no reliable big man.

    Target: Marc Gasol

He is in the final year of his contract and is due a major raise. 15-10-2 guy

    Budinger + Patterson + 2 Knick Picks for M.Gasol

    Brooks / Lowry
    Martin / Taylor
    Battier / Ariza
    Scola / Hill
    Gasol / Miller / Hayes

Let Yao walk and pursue Carmello in the offseason.
