http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4a478xv Rockets get: C. Kaman, G. Wallace and R Livingston Clippers get: S. Jackson and S. Collins Bobcats get: Y. Ming, C. Budinger, A. Brooks and J. Hill (+ Clippers 2nd from Rockets) Rockets get a real starting C (though injury prone) with 1 year remaining, Wallace to take over the SF starting position and a back up PG in Livingston. I think Lowry is here to stay and I don't think Brooks likes his 15 minutes. Plus if Sac really does open the purse strings next year for Brooks, we'll over pay or lose him for nothing. I don't think there is enough PT to properly develop both Hill and Patterson and I think Patterson is the better player. And while Budinger is coming around, paid a 1st for Williams and he needs to get some burn. While we would be way over the LT with this trade, I think we'd be back under next year by letting Jeffries and Battier walk (maybe resign Battier to a much smaller contract). Clippers get a huge upgrade in the SF position but the question is can SJ play the SF. 6-8 says yes. 215 says no. But I think they would like to see. Only 1 year remaining and his contract is very reasonable. Clips alreay have 2 backup PGs. Collins would take over Livingston's spot as a reserve at a much smaller price. Bobcats get to blow it up - again. They get Yao's 80% insurance paid contract and 3 young players in Brooks, Budinger, Hill and a high 2nd to go with their high 2nd. Kaman, Hayes, Miller Scola, Patterson, Jeffries Wallace, Battier, Williams Martin, Lee Lowry, Livingston, Ish No that doesn't make us contenders but we do get huge upgrades for a small price. Our D would be much better with only Scola and Martin as our O only players.
Kaman is injury prone, he plays a bit and sits and has a very houston rocket like pattern of playing. Id rather not. Dont get me wrong hes probbably the closest skill set center to yao but id hate to lose a guy like that and have a gaping hole in the middle again.
I'd like to trade Martin and Scola, they both have 2 young talented two way players(SG:Lee,Williams|PFat, Hill) behind them. And I think the large minutes that Scola and Martin have been playing is hindering the development of those young guys. Plus Luis Scola and Kevin Martin are the two with the most trade value, they could fetch us some very good young talent(including young center's) and draft picks in return.
even if we make the PO's I think PAT is still good enough to make Scola expendable for the right piece.
Yeah, and not only them, I'd like to trade Aaron Brooks as well... I was thinking maybe.. "Aaron Brooks(26) for Darko Milicic(25) and Jonny Flynn(21)" We get a young "true" center that seem's to have finally figured out how to put his game together and be productive and a young point in Flynn to replace Brooks off the bench.. Not bad for Brooks, if I say so myself..
lol, you read my sig I was thinking about that. Minny is a team that can take a lot of salary too. But Luis might not be the one to throw, Martin on the other hand is a SG they could use. Give us a first Minny!
how about a 3 team trade involving the rockets, nuggets, and hornets rockets trade yao ming to the nuggets for carmelo anthony rockets trade kyle lowry, j. jeffries, and brad miller to the hornets for chris paul. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=64t3mdj chris paul/aaron brooks/ish smith kevin martin/courtney lee/t-will carmelo anthony/shane battier/chase budinger luis scola/patrick patterson chuck hayes/jordan hill
the day this trade happens is the day I go to the doctors office and ask for a sex change operation. Do u think the nuggets and hornets front offices are run by kindergarteners?
Milwaukee Bucks are a bad basketball team. Not only that, they gave out a lot of stupid contracts this offseason. They have maybe 2 or 3 guys that could even be rotation players on a contending team. Put up or shut up trade: To Houston: Andrew Bogut Corey Maggette Drew Gooden* To Milwaukee Yao Ming Jared Jeffries Trevor Ariza TPE (for Gooden)* *seperate trade We finally get a legit defensive center, while eating the terrible contracts of Maggette and Drew Gooden. It also opens up the possibility of packaging a couple of other pieces (Budinger, Williams, Lee, Hill, etc.) for one solid piece (Love?). Brooks / Lowry Martin / Lee / Williams Battier / Budinger / Maggette Scola / Patterson / Hill Bogut / Hayes / Miller
Eh. The Suns would probably aim for a star in return for Nash. As much as the owner is cost cutting (He truly is) I don't think he would accept anything less than a star (or quasi-star) who can produce. Also, they wouldn't give up Lopez when they barely have a PF. The 76ers get some expirings but nothing substantial. Denver wouldn't take so many yearly contracts. One or two, to compete, sure, but not all of them. Suppose to be somewhat realistic ideas in this thread. The only way this trade goes through is if Morey blackmails every other GM into doing what he wants.
Yeah i know its not real but the threads called random and thats what this is. A realistic trade, which is what you are looking for...would be something like a trade exception for a center that makes 3-5 million a year to try to clog the paint. Yet after we acquire him, he will never get any playing time because he has not learned rick's "system"
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28b87xr http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6en4737 or http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=684tzbk (dont really like this trade but im still posting it) http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6f2lgco (I think they would flat out say no) feedback?
How about Hill + Budinger for J. Wright + Ed Davis? We do it to get a SF who can play D (Wright) and Davis who is really young but has some potential. Wright becomes a situational defensive stopper b/c his offense is pretty poor. We move Hill because we've given up on him (maybe I have). Toronto does this because they believe in Hill's potential and think he's more valuable than Davis. They don't play Wright much so they probably welcome the chance to trade him for the shiny, new Budinger.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4ez2ddx Houston gets: Melo, Camby, Billups, Harrington Denver gets: Batum, Scola, Brooks, Jeffries, Yao, our 2012, and 2013 1st rounder, and 2011 2nd rounder Portland gets: Gerald Wallace and Chuck Hayes Charlotte gets: Battier and 2011 1st rounder from us (I think since we have NYKs 2012 1st rounder we can trade a 2011 and one of the 2012s) Why we do it: Camby/Hill/Miller Patterson/Harrington Anthony/TWill/Budinger KMart/Lee Billups/Lowry I feel like this team would be hands down better than our current team and be a serious contender. Why Denver does it: Scola is a bargain, Brooks is young and expiring (bird rights ftw), we know they covet Batum, Jeffries and Yao expire, Yao is instant savings of 8m, 2 1st round picks and up to 4 2nd rounders. Why Portland does it: they aren't going anywhere this year, they get out of Camby's big contract for next year, get a solid stud to pair with Roy when he gets back. Why Charlotte does it: they get out of Gerald's contract and pickup a 1st rounder this year.
