omfg no Scola is better then any of those player and then you give them a young potential? And did you say Carl was consistent??? LMAO
Best trade ever, probably will never happen. But the financials seem to work. http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5800842 Houston gets: Love, Granger, G.Wallace Houston sends Kmart - Indy J.Hill to Mini S.Battier to Charl. There will probably add fillers and draft picks to really make this happen. Charl does this b/c Jordan wants a change and Coaching change may not be enough.Plus Battier is a good locker room presence, his contract is expiring. Indy does this because Granger is not playing up to expecations. They'd probably request for another player, someone like Ish or AB or Bud. Mini does this because there are talks that no extension would be signed by Love. And Mini loves second change people and j.Hill would be peferect there. With this trade we would have a Championship worthy team. Lowry, (AB or ISh) Granger, Williams G.Wallace, C.Lee, Scola, Hayes, Love, P.Pat, Miller,Yao
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=36xszgo Hou sends: Yao Ming, Jared Jeffries*, Jordan Hill and 2011 1st rounder Hou Receives: Andre Iguodala and Marcin Gortat* Phi sends: Iguodala, Elton Brand and 2011 1st rounder Phi receives: Yao Ming, Vince Carter Pho sends: Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat* Pho receives: Elton Brand, Jared Jeffries*, Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger and (2) 2011 1st rounder *Note the trade would have to be split because of trade restriction for Carter and Gortat but we can just separate Jeffries for Gortat in a separate deal which works. Why for Houston? We acquire Andre Iguodala who will improve our defense, is a playmaker and can close out a game... We also get a legit center that we have been targeting. They acquire Iguodala without having to take on Brand. Why for Philly? Simple... they get out of Brand's contract Why for Phoenix? they take on Brand's contract (who can still produce) but receive 2 first round picks and some young talent in Hill and Bud (who should fit Phoenix's system pretty well).
I'm guessing you didn't bother reading the part about the picks or looking at the alternate trade proposal
Oh, I read -- much to my dismay. Please explain to me why Atlanta would even remotely consider your original deal. It's that bad. Furthermore, you proceeded both acknowledge Atlanta's desire to ultimately move Horford to the four yet you propose they trade for Scola. Talk about twisted logic.
Trade 1 Brooks, Jeffries, Hill for Nash, Lopez Trade 2 Battier, Chase, Ish, Trade Ex for Wallace, Carroll Trade 3 Yao, picks for Nene, Al Harrington Nash/Lowry Martin/Lee Wallace/Harrington/Williams Scola/Hayes/Patpat Nene/Lopez/Miller
Well this is the "random trade ideas" thread, not the "has to be a 100% thought out out trade proposals" thread.
3-way deal with Philly and Sacramento: Rockets Receive: Elton Brand, Iguodala, Dalembert, Philly Receives: Yao's contract, Battier, Hill, Landry Sacramento Receives: Brooks, Jeffries, Songalia, CBud Helps us now - unloading Battier's and Jeffries contracts. The more i see Hill play, the less i'm convinced that he's gonna be "something special". I like what PatPat brings to the table more. Sac has coveted Brooks for sometime now - while i love AB, we need size and Dalembert's would fit in nicely here. Philly get's Yao's expiring and Battier's expiring along with 2 young prospects. Our lineups can potentially be: Lowry/Ish Martin/Lee Iggy/T.Will Brand/Scola/Pat Pat Dalembert/Miller/Hayes That lineup would instantly make us a much better team defensively, and our scoring wouldnt suffer much either. Lowry can put up 10-12ppg, Martin 20-25ppg, Iggy 12-17ppg, Brand, 15-17ppg, Dalembert 7-9ppg. Then you bring in athletes that can run up the court with Ish, Lee, and T.Will, with Scola providing a scoring punch against weaker 4's. Not a likely trade, but its in the Random Trade Thread for a reason
From the OP of this thread: Sorry, I don't mean to "be a jerk" to you, and I'm not picking on you in particular. It's just that this thread has begun to spiral out of control. I mean, I originally posted my Nene trade idea in this thread (rather than in the Yao Ming trade thread, where it ended up temporarily taking over that thread) for the express reason that it was a RANDOM trade idea that met the criteria above. I didn't think it belonged in any other thread, although I finally caved when the Yao Ming trade thread devolved into a variation of this one. Everyone, please, I'm begging you . . . kindly observe the rules of this thread. I enjoy clicking on this thread from time to time to see some rational, well-thought-out trade ideas. But lately, I'm AFRAID to click on it. Please keep the nonsense out of the GARM. Thanks.
I actually think your trade is a bit more realistic than you're giving it credit for. I'd throw in some 1st round picks to Philadelphia to help the cause, but overall it's not that far fetched. I'd tweak it to have it match up the players going out/coming in and replace Landry with Thompson.
haha, thanks But I meant unrealistic in the sense that it wouldn't be likely to happen. Money-wise and needs-wise it works for all parties, but not sure if Morey would be diggin Iggy's and Brand's contracts. I've always liked Iggy and Brand (i've said this alot in the garm) is quietly having a really good year. Morey usually pulls out deals that no one expects or thinks of..
My bad man.. when i saw how many pages thing thread had, i just went to the last page. But like i said in my previous post (in my defense), its realistic in the sense that it works money wise and maybe beneficial to all parties. But i dont think its one of those "preposterous trade ideas" that we've seen where CP3 and MELO come to us for Hill, AB, Yao and future picks. But i see what you're sayin tho
Hardly any trade is likely, but I think this one is realistic and very intriguing. However, that's a lot of salary to take on before the new CBA, limits our flexibility.
Read that the kings are looking to trade Dalembert, Landry, and Casspi for expiring contracts and prospects. Easy fix. Yao Ming, Jared Jeffries, and Ish Smith for Dalembert, Landry, and Casspi Duh Dalembert/Hayes/Miller Scola/Landry/Hill/Patterson Battier/Casspi/T-Will Martin/Lee/Budinger Lowry/Brooks Champs
Again, didn't mean to pick on you. You had just acknowledged that your trade wasn't realistic. Also, while I acknowledge that your trade technically WORKS under the salary cap, there is no way that the Rockets will take on that much salary just to get Andre Iguodala. And a 6-for-3 trade is not something that happens every decade. Still, I'll back off of your proposal since it at least works under the cap. Sorry for the inconvenience.
