    PG: Aaron Brooks | Temple/Conroy
SG: Trevor Ariza | Chase Budinger
SF: Caron Butler | Shane Battier
PF: Amare Stoudemire | Carl Landry
C: Yao Ming | Chuck Hayes | David Andersen | Joey Dorsey

Ask Yao and Amare to negotiate lower salaries to play together and use Shane's expiring contract.

Houston Trades: Shane Battier, Joey Dorsey
Houston Receives: Steve Blake, Rudy Fernandez, Josh Boone

Portland Trades: Steve Blake, Rudy Fernandez, Travis Outlaw
Portland Receives: Shane Battier, Joey Dorsey, Courtney Lee

New Jersey Trades: Josh Boone, Courtney Lee
    New Jersey Receives: Travis Outlaw

Houston does it because they pick up a back up PG in Steve Blake, one that is needed because Kyle Lowry is going to be injured for two weeks and possibly longer. He could also play some SG and will also allow Brooks and Lowry to play PG/SG combo more. They also pick up a SG, which they need, in Rudy and can replace Battier in the starting line up. Also, Josh Boone, though not very talented, is a big man and could possibly fit into the rotation.

Portland does is because they get a needed defensive wing player in Battier and a needed back up SG in Lee, with Rudy on his way out. Dorsey also helps with the big man issue. They give up Steve Blake, but he is spendable with Andre Millers sudden step up in playing and Jerryd Bayless's as well. Also, Rudy is replaced by Lee and Travis Outlaw will be out for a lot of the season anyway.

New Jersey is able to get rid of Boones lazy ass and get an expiring contract in Travis Outlaw. He can replace Courtney Lee. So even swap but also getting the expiring contract.

Then, Rockets sign Mike Harris and Von Wafer.

    Houston Rockets Depth Chart
    C: Chuck Hayes/Josh Boone
    PF: Luis Scola/Carl Landry/Brian Cook
    SF: Trevor Ariza/Chase Budinger/Mike Harris
    SG: Rudy Fernandez/Von Wafer/Jermaine Taylor
    PG: Aaron Brooks/Steve Blake
Injured: Yao Ming and Kyle Lowry

Rumored trade possibilities I'd love to see happen:

    1.Brooks, Landry, Battier for Bosh
    2. Any trade ideas with Jazz probably getting myself flamed, but AK47 been playing like a mad man shooting 72% in their 8 game winning streak, and we do need a backup for Yao.... TMac for AK47 and Okur
    3. Tank it+get lucky in lottery for John Wall

    Starters:
    Wall
    Ariza
    Kirilenko
    Bosh
    Yao

    Bench:
    Lowry
    CBud
    Scola
    Okur

I'd sleep with a huge grin on my face every night

That is an incredibly shortsighted trade that gets us a top 5 lottery pick...unless that was your intention...

Don't know where to put this so I'll put it here but Justice(tifwiw) said they've talked to GS,DAL,PHX,PHI,WAS.

    GS - Maggette and Randolph
DAL - Believe it or not, Howard.
PHX - Stoudemire(though said they're not really interested in him, not really on radar screen)
    PHI - Iggy & Sam
    WAS - Haywood & Butler

Says everyone is lying to everyone else at this point in time. Reiterates they should do nothing but says they are not happy with their team. RA reluctant to change rotation and doesn't want to change chemistry.

Josh Howard? Are you frickin' kidding me? The other piece being Dampier? :faint:

I don't think DM would take on Magette just to get Randolph.

    Nothing interesting here.

Are you kidding me? Shane Battier for Rudy Fernandez is highway robbery! People seem to value Shane WAY TOO MUCH!!!

What is and would you be happy if?

we did the Mcgrady trade for butler and haywood and then sent ariza battier and landry to the Celtics for allen and a 2010 first rounder

    Haywood/Anderson
    Scola/Hayes/Dorsey
    Butler/Budinger
    Allen/Budinger
    Brooks/Lowry

Allen and haywood would then expire along with scola/lowry (I would like to resign the latter two) and with the all the cap space sign a SG/SF im thinking joe johnson or rudy gay and we would give morey 2 first round picks

    Ming/Anderson/Dorsey
    Scola/Hayes
    Gay or butler
    Butler or joe johnson
    Brooks/lowry

there needs to be a rule about how vague a thread title can be...or is there one already? You should be able to look at a title and decide if you want to click on it or not

I've been wishing for this for a really long time. You should be able to cursor over a thread and it would give you the first 100 words or so of the post. It would save me from having to click on worthless threads like this one.

i just hate the ones that say, "what if..." or " what would you do..." Very repetitive and vague, but the cursor thing isn't a bad idea.

No Iggy or Butler needed ...

Knicks want to trade Al Harrington and want to trade for T-Mac. Celtics are not playing in "Championship mode" and are willing to trade Ray Allen ...

So, this is what I came up with ...

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yhdogpp

=> Celtics: Battier and Harrington in return for Ray Allen ... it would give them more defensive effort and more power in a championship run.
KG at C, Harrington at PF, Pierce at SF, Battier at SG and Rondo at PG ...

=> Knicks trade away Harrington and get T-Mac. Scalabrine and Giddens are just fillers and expiring contracts for them.

=> Rockets: Check out the expiring contracts! This way we still have a change to get a "big FA" (like Joe Johnson or Bosh) this summer, but I don't believe in it too much. The fact is we get rid of T-Mac and get players in return that can play right away. Maybe play-offs 2010 ...

Rockets line-up to end the season 2009-2010:

    C: Hayes/Anderson/Dorsey
    PF: Scola/Landry
    SF: Ariza/Budinger/Hughes
    SG: R. Allen/T. Allen/ Hughes
    PG: Brooks/Lowry

At this point I'd trade T-Mac to any team that can offer a lottery pick and no contract that extends past this year; maybe that would be flexible if they gave up a player that could actually play. But honestly, draft picks in the hands of Morey are worth more than draft picks in the hands of others. Why not stockpile em?

T-mac and Brooks to Chicago for Luol Deng, Brad Miller, and Salmons. Then Battier, Bud, and Cook to Phillie for Iggy.
