Not my idea per se but in this SI article, they mentioned or rather threw out a trade proposal, Butler + Jamison for McGrady + other considerations. Not sure what other considerations means [since that trade does work without Houston having to give up any assets or additional pieces] but my question is, would you do that trade?
Magic Trade: Vince Carter, Gortat Get: Tracy McGrady, Oberto Wizards Trade: Oberto Get: Anthony Parker Rockets Trade: Tracy McGrady Get: Vince Carter, Gortat Im not all that excited about vince but reading about the deadline deal from last year when the papers were already sent to the league, im betting morey still likes the guy. Also we know how he feels about Gortat Wizards do this to get some backcourt help for the loss of arenas. Magic do this because there have been reports that he doesnt really fit in as much as they thought and they would be getting back a cheaper backup center for dwight (who is extremely durable), so they can spend 3 or so million elsewhere. Just a thought
Swing for the fences in my opinion. Hang onto Brooks and Yao and move everything else you have for Bosh/Iggy/Martin. McGrady/Cook/Lowry for Iggy/Sammy/L.WIll Landry/Ariza/Battier for Bosh Dalembert/L.Will/Budinger for Martin/Beno/Nocioni Brooks (2)/Udrih (6.4) Martin (11.1)/Taylor (.8) Iggy (13.6)/Nocioni (6.8) Bosh (17.1)/Hayes (2.3)/Dorsey (.9) Yao (17.6)/Andersen (2.5) 81 million dollar salary =(

sometimes i thinkk that maybe we should just send out yao honestly him for bosh straight up would work because toronto would get talent and for an extra year without losing bosh for nothing and then i say we trade tmac for andre and dalembert and perhaps one more player while keeping our core brooks, lowry (if re-signs) aridre/ariza battier/chase bosh/landry dalembert/scola i know yao is a cash cow and is super dominant but honestly after 1 whole year of down time do you really think he can produce at the level he did last season. i highly doubt it, no doubt he will get 15 or more ppg but not more then 20 and if you thought he was slow then, when hes back he will be ridiculously slow. if they do decide to put yao on trade deadline out if they are desperate enough for other talent im sure they can get a steal because there hasnt been any talk of him at all. the bosh trade is good because with bosh's bird rights we can re sign him above the salary cap so that absense of 17mil will give us more room to pull in a free agent potentially and then sign bosh on top of that. i know it would be luxury tax hell but if we can get good talent for 12-14 it would be nice. potentials Rudy gay joe johnson hell perhaps even lebron if you think this is unrealistic thats fine but im studyin pathology and im taking a break so go easy

Get out.....just do us all a favor and get out..... What's surprising to me though is that it doesn't say that this trade makes the Lakers worse lol
Check this one out: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ygtc2nu * Rockets: C: Boozer/Hayes/Anderson (and Yao) PF: Scola/Landry SF: Battier/Ariza/Miles SG: Butler/Budinger PG: Brooks/Lowry/Conroy => Jazz get with Jamison their starting PF for the next two years and maybe more. Sloan would love a player like Jamison instead of Boozer any day. Miller would replace Korver (and his lack on the defensive end) and Miles, Oberto is just another expiring contract. => Wizards decide to do an 'extreem makeover edition' ... they move the bus and get 3 expiring contracts with McGrady, Cook and Korver. => Rockets get Boozer without trading Scolandry. We aren't playing with a 'real' center this year, so Boozer can play C or PF in combo with Scola or Landry. Hayes will provide the extra defense when needed, Anderson is an extra C. Speaking of size ... we can add Miles and Butler, both can play SG and SF and we would still have Battier, Ariza and Budinger! If Toronto wants to trade Bosh after all, we could give them players like Battier, Scola, Brooks, ... Boozer?
