Last time I checked, Morey isn't interested in taking on long-term deals if we can't get That One Player. Now, if Tmac and a third-tier Rocket could turn into Butler and Ilgauskas, or expirings and 1st rounders, then no, I don't see the "we fail no matter what with this". I certainly think Morey can find something better, don't get me wrong.
What about this ? Houston gets: deron williams and kirilenko. Utah gets: mcgrady, okafor, posey and julian wright. New Orleans gets: boozer and lowry.
AK + Ronnie Brewer + Knicks First For TMac + 2nd rounder (or 2) Random, but I really want that Knicks 1st pick...
Gimme Jamison(or Butler),Mike Miller, Haywood and TMac with Scola(or Cook with Budinger) is your new guys Washington. We really need 2 get Haywood or Dalembert in those scenarios with 76ers or Washington. That's the only way to survive in the playoffs this year, we really need lenghty shot blocker center, no matter how dumb he is(Dalembert)
ok here we go i actually have two trade ideas first of the tmac trade (eventough i hate to see him gone) Sac-Tmac, jermaine taylor, and joey dorsey Hou-Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas, and Andres Nicioni This makes sense for Sac because of tmac contract and they get rid of andres contract plus u get some more young players on jt and joey This makes sense for Hou because u get a stud in kmart that can fit perfectly in this system although we have to take andres contract And the second trade that can only work if the first trade happens is a trade with the clippers Lac- Shane Battier and Briank Cook Hou-Marcus Camby and Kareem Rush This makes sense for the Clippers because u getting a savy veteran in shane battier that would help the young guys to grow and somebody who would contribute mostly on defense and thats wut they need plus they need the minutes when blake comes back. This makes sense for the Rockets because eventhough we losing a valueable part of the team theres not enough minutes if kmart comes here and when chase gets back from his injury plus we get rid of the 7mil contract of battier and we get a rent a center on camby that can help this team on defense plus his 9 mil contract is over after this year and with d 9 mil of camby contracts and kennys thomas 8 mil contract over this year we have some money to resign our key players landry, kyle and luis etc. plus we get rush just in case one of our wings get injured. Hou Roster after the two trades C-Marcus Camby Pf-Luis Scola Sf- Trevor Ariza Sg-Kevin Martin Pg-Aaron Brooks 6-Carl Landry 7-Kyle 8-Chase Budinger 9-Andres Nicioni 10-Chuck Hayes 11-David Andersen 12-Kareem Rush 13-Kenny Thomas 14-Yao Ming(injured) 15-someone like von wafer
Ok given all the information we know from Bima's and CH's threads on the salary situation for this and next season along with the team needs around the league, here is a potential trade that would benefit the Rox along with the other teams involved. Rox get Caron Butler and Mike Miller - Rox get their semi-star player on a short term 2 year deal at a resonable 9.5-10.5 yearly salary along with Miller who can easily slide into the SG slot while being an expiring contract that could be resigned at MLE money if not a bit more and still not cripple the squad. Rox would also get under the Luxury Tax even before trading Cook. Washington get TMAC, Steve Blake and S.Randolph - Salary dump for Washington in TMAC, Blake who is an expiring contract and went to Maryland for college along with another filler in Randolph. They are over the luxury tax by a mile so this is stictly gets them cap room next year totaling just under 28 million. Portland gets Brendon Haywood - Good center that would allow LA to slide back to his natural position of PF and make up for the loss of Oden/Joel P. Haywood is also an expiring contract so no loss no foul and Portland is under the LT by a mile so no damage there while given them another million and change in salary cap relief during the offseason.
Sorry djohn2o12 but I read as of today that he was activated just not ready to play so he is NOT out for the year. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/04/AR2010010402804.html

Houston and Golden State: Houston Trades: McGrady Ariza Dorsey Taylor Golden State trades. Maggette Biedrens Randlolph Claxton Golden State gets rid of two long term contracts they are looking to get rid of in Biedrens and Maggette, and also a malcontent young player in Randolph. Houston gets a scoring wing in Maggette, a backup center in Biedrens and a young PF they covet. DD
Not sure I would take on all of that, but I did hear Clutch on 1560 say the Rockets are def interested in Randolph. I still don't like Maggette's contract, though he is producing bigtime. But is Maggette producing because of the system and because his team sucks?
He has produced his entire career, he is a very efficient scorer and great at drawing fouls.....extremely underated player. DD
It probably seems as though I'm coming after you today, for the record it's not the case. But I am def in the mood to have some conversation. I like Maggette just not his contract, lack of defense and history of injuries. There really isn't anyone that should complain about his production this year though
.............and a ball stopper??? I love his statistical offensive efficiency. Just dunno if he would fit in a cut and pass system.
After watching last nights game I saw 2 obivous weaknesses 1) Height 2) Top Notch Scorer... Rox get Caron Butler/Big Z - Scorer to help down times during games that COULD slip in the SG spot while being better then anyone we could get with our MLE this sumemr and a big guy that will help defend the big boys which would be ideal in Adelman's high post "O" and his contract expires at yrs end. Cavs get A. Jamieson - They have been hot after him and don't mind taking on a long term deal or taking a hit in the LT as they are WAY over already. Wiz get TMAC - Kills off two big contracts and lets them be spenders this offseason and if Arenas get his contract voided they could be HEAVY players in the summer. Brooks/Lowry Butler/Budinger Ariza/Battier/Taylor Scola/Landry/Cook/Dorsey Big Z/Hayes/Andersen/Yao
