First off, they could just let miller and james expire and sign wade and then resign miller to team with noah or use the mle and do it that way and still keep deng and salmons. In fact, salmons has a easy to trade contract by itself that can get a guy coming off a rookie deal or still in it if they chose. I just don't see chicago with the need to dump miller and salmons for mcgrady when they are a high revenue team and have one of the best pg's in the league, a high quality 3 in deng, a hustling rbounding improving noah, and enough cp room for wade or bosh or whomever.
Well thinking outside of the box, Salmons would be a great fit for this team. He is a team player, unselfish, and a true hustle player. He would be a great piece to add to this team. Perhaps Chi thinks Mcgrady still has something in the tank. It would be a low risk/high reward move if it did pan out. Maybe the Rockets would have to throw something else their way to bite, but I think he would be a great compliment to what we already have. I'm just sick of fans on here with the Chris Paul, Monta Ellis proposals. Lets get real, we are not going to get someone of that caliber for Mcgrady. Looking a tier or two lower is a guy like Salmons. I'm sure the Miller/Adelman reunion would go over well to boot. I think if we possibly added a piece to sweeten such a deal, Chicago would certainly have reasons to entertain the idea.
To Houston: Richard Hamilton Joel Pryzbilla To Detroit: Tracy McGrady To Portland: Tayshaun Prince Houston gets an effecient SG who fits into our system as well as a legitimate seven footer. Portland gets thier defensive minded player (glue guy) who contributes w/o the ball. The emergence of Oden perhaps makes Pryzbilla expendible. Detroit escapes from thier 2 long term contracts that don't fit with what they are trying to do now.
How does it not? It fills two of our biggest needs and eliminates the uncertainty of this re-occuring injury nonsense.
Big Z had the same surgery with no setbacks so I'd expect big Yao to return to his dominate self. The main focus is to see what can you get for TMac.
We have lost Yao for 3 of playoff runs. I dont care what big Z has done, Yao is injury prone and this surgery in no way guarantees he will be available in next years.
iggy can't shoot the ball at level, that this team will need. He will be excellent this season with this running style of play, but next season, when Yao will come back, Andre will struggle, cause he can't play a halfcourt game on potential ASG level. This isn't a good addition, especially with deadly Elton contract and Philly will never ever agree on this. They can't blow away their franchise player for T-Mac contract, cause they have no chances to sign all-star caliber swingman in future offseason. Close this thread.
i think this surgery will only help him if he plays around 20-25 minutes with less of an offensively load. there is no way yao can return to the player he once was logic-wise. Z is nowhere close to what he was (and he was an all-star for a few years). that's why i think morey will bring in a lot of talent to complement yao. with this team, yao can afford to play 20-25 minutes and we can still win.
How is Yao injury prone I think he only missed 3 games last year during the regular season. Regardless Les would never trade the big fella.
You know, this is the best proposal ive seen on this board. Its very accurate and fits all 3 teams into what they're trying to do. I'm not sure i really want rip, but seeing miller play effectively till he was 37, i guess it makes sense. Great job Battier lover. It wouldve been better also to get rid of ya boy too
I think I would take it. I havnt watched Brand lately but he was able to play center with his athleticism at one point. Iggy is a bit overrated, but I think he would fit the offense nicely.
And how many rings for the Rockets do you expect would result from this? Never mind rings, how many first round series wins do you expect from this trade?
He is a better 3 point shooter than Ariza, not to mention more athletic. He is also a very good rebounder for his position and a decent passer.
