Houston Gets: Raja Bell & Mikael Pietrus Charlotte Gets: Ron Artest & Luther Head Orlando Gets: Raymond Felton
Why do you want 2 shooting guards added to the team? Even if you move McGrady to the 3 along with Battier, you still need to give minutes to Wafer.
Well, we would be moving Ron Artest and Luther Head, I figure having two guys that can run and knock down shots would be nice.
Rockets: Turkoglu (ETO) + Battie (2yr) + Lue (exp) + Cook (exp) Magic: McGrady (2yr) + Lowry (2yr) Grizzlies: Redick (2yr) + Wilks (exp/out for season) + Dorsey (3yr) + Cash compensation from Orlando All teams stay under LT. Alston, Brooks, Head*, Lue* Hedo, Wafer, Barry Battier, Artest, Cook* Scola , Landry, Battie Yao, Hayes, Deke *One to be waived/traded.
Hmm! still thinkin of other trades...how about going for Caron Butler? For Artest/Battier + Head,fillers...is it feasible?
heard a caller on 610 this morning saying that he was listening to a nation broadcast talking about tmac and scola for bosh. anybody hear about that rumor?
Whats the point for me naming you other teams if I said Battier is a guy who would help a team who is close to winning a Championship. Your telling me teams thats close. who else is close for me 2 name.
My friend called me with this earlier today. I can't find anything to confirm it online though... But man I would sure hate to give up Scola, he is a guy who can score, hustles on every play and just gets it done....Bosh is a nice player but that would a tough one for me to make.
Right trade wrong players Mike Miller for Battier Luther Head I saw DM and Kevin Mchale talking on Saturday night, probably doesn't mean anything but if you read his comments on Rockets.com, he is basically said that trades are more likely to occur between play-off teams and non-play-off teams, plus with the recent down turn in the economy we are likely to see more trades than normal. (I would prefer to see Battier for Outlaw and Frye but I just don't see Portland trading with a team in the Western Conf. play-offs)
What I'm saying is that Battier is basically a role player off the bench, he should not be starting. He should be getting 20 minutes max., not starting. The reason I think we can't afford for him to come off of the bench here, is because we do not have enough scoring outside of Artest. A player like M. Miller or T. Outlaw would enhance our roster greatly, Battier passes up too many shots.
Was this a trade idea or trade rumor? A couple of deals that would work are: McGrady + Scola + Dorsey Bosh + Kapono + Parker McGrady + Landry Bosh + Kapono + Graham + Jawai/Solomon
