I still think that we need to get Vince....Vince would push Tracy even more and he plays team ball where as Cory doesn't play team ball and he doesn't pass.....Just look at him and Crawford's argument about him not wanting to pass just 2 nights ago...KG laughed at him and told him way to get you numbers Cory at the end of the game..It is a known thing with Cory DD
Vince would kill any 2010 plans for the Rockets. McGrady is the weak link defensively. Marion is the roster tweak that's needed.
Artest and fillers for Carter I could get used to. The only problem I have with this is that down the road you have a lot of salaries that get raises, /gulp. NJ gets 11 plus mil in expiring which works with there plans. And if Tmacs 2nd cousin cant get him moving then nothing will? worzel gummidge, 2k10 is more of a lottery then the lottery it self. Bad planning to be planning around it.
I think it's apparent by now that Les wants that. So with that in mind it's highly unlikely the Rockets will make any moves that'll put them out of it.
you are exactly right about 2k10....to hell with it right now....what will happen if you get vince is he will come in rejuvenated and it will also rejuvenate Tmac...you then re sign Tmac for 2 years in 2010.....Now everyone is saying i am crazy for that but hear me out...You will only have the both for a year and a half of those last 2 years of there contracts...they would both be expirings in 2011/2012, so you could trade them to a team not going anywhere that year or have them both come off your books the same year Dwight Howard and Bynum are unrestricted FA...here is a list for 2012. http://www.realgm.com/src_freeagents/2012/
I think he wants options (unless a spectacular trade comes along) but other then that I do not at all think he plans around it. But options is something every team wants but that doesnt hold too much money.
Magic need a PG badly. Rafer for Pietrus. Salaries match. Is the Clippers happy now or does Baron want off? You could go Artest and Head for Baron. Clippers saves cash. But maybe Baron is happier with Zach there? NJN? Instead of trading away Artest here, lets give them Tmac. Same story, Tmac gets revitalized with his second cousin we get Trenton Hassel and Bobby Simmons and fillers ofcourse. Artest has proven to play better without Tmac (post in a recent thread with stats only though). Hassel while not a offensive threat is a great defender. Simmons is a upgraded Battier (at least this year). How about Battier to OKC? They need leadership and defense badly. We get Green
GOAT I know I wasn't to positive about getting Vince before but checking out his 2009 averages I think he would an upgrade over some of the pieces we currently have. If we could get rid of Rafer and bring in someone like Hinrich or Bibby I would try to snag Vince with another contract if at all possible. We really need help at starting point and I guess now at SF if we getting rid of Artest.
Try this trade on for size. TMac fans will not like it though. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...27~11~2763~532&teams=10~10~21~21~21&te=&cash=
I think the Rockets owe Richard Jefferson a chance after that horrible draft deal, lol. Seriously though, he plays consistant ball. We have point guard woes, and Sessions is one of the better young PGs in the league. Jefferson has always been a great team player. I really like this deal.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...727~11~25~1781&teams=10~10~21~21~21&te=&cash= + http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...63~3217~3231~2792&teams=15~15~10~10&te=&cash= = A champoinship ring. =]
Houston should've never let go Jeferson in 01. Sessions will be making more money in 09-10, so the salaries will not match up. He's making roughly 800K now. will be a 1M plus in 09-10. So the Jefferson/Sessions deal won't work plus unless Jefferson takes a pay cut.
