who'd be our SF then? I don't know without a SF I don't think that would be a good team, I'll pass, I'd rather have tracy and shane.
DD this is one of the few trades you have come up with I don't agree with. I think someone like Dunleavy as a SF or Hamilton as a SG would do this team better then someone like Maggette. We need smart players on this team and Maggette strikes me as having low basketball IQ. If we are getting pissed at some of the shots our mainstays have been missing what will we say when Maggette starts throwing up prayers which he tends to do ALOT.
i have to agree with you Nolocke.......I would keep Ron and move a Battier and Rafer package and find a better PG personally.....I would then move Wafer into the starting lineup and bring Ron off the bench...here is a quick one that we can throw out there...Bulls will move Kirk's contract with this one..Getting Noah is just something that I want to do just to get some needed length out there.....It may come in handy when playing the Fakers http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...~3224~11~976~2763&teams=10~10~4~4~4&te=&cash=
I always try to check out who is actually on the trade block before making a trade up and I'm not sure Battier or Noah are even up for trade unless Morey is just building up Battier as their supposed "big 4" like he said just so he can trade him. Who knows though, I would do that trade though. I really like Battier but I agree with just about everyone that he has taken a step back this year probably due to his injury and it still giving him problems. I think for the Bulls to pull the trigger on Hinrich they will make someone take Hughes with him.
Out of the guys that might be available this season I would be seriously looking at the struggling teams out there that had a winning season last year and not having such a great year this season. Players like Mike Bibby, Steve Nash, Grant Hill(even though he's old), Kirk Hinrich, Rip Hamilton, Mike Miller, Raja Bell, Michael Redd(out for the year unfortunately), Richard Jefferson those are guys we should be targeting. They have high a high basketball IQ and bring it every night. We need passionate guys who work hard to surround our guys and help pull the weight. Unfortunately I don't feel like T-mac is pulling his and Rafer is streaky as hell, I don't hate either of those guys but we need to change something to get our team moving in the right direction.
I see what you are saying also....but if that was the case that would mean that Yao, Ron, Tmac, and Battier would be untouchable according to Morey...Now saying that Morey would be an idiot if he was not trying to move Battier right now, I would not give him up for peanuts (even though that is all he is worth right now).......Chicago would be crazy to ask someone to take the two of them..Hinrich and Hughes make 22+million between the 2 of them.....You are right that they would like to move the both of there contracts........And because you are such a good sport Nolocke here is how and why we get rip to Houston.... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...94~976~3421~2763&teams=10~8~8~8&te=&cash=8:10 Your lineup Mr Nolocke Rafer, Brooks Rip, Wafer, Barry Tmac, Ron, Barry Scola, Landry, Hayes Yao, Deke Now it is obvious why Houston do this deal....But here is another reason why to do this, if Ron demands to much money next year we can still be somewhat of a contender next year also....If Ron comes back next year it would be a plus (Larry Bird law with Ron)....Talk Mike Bibby into signing for the mid level and we look even better (on paper at least).....Morey would have to go all out to keep Ron and sign Mike if you trade for Rip just because you put yourself out of the 2010 sweepstakes.....Why Houston might NOT do the deal, Rip contract has 5 years left on it with a raise coming every year (he will be 35 I think when it is over)..... Why Pistons do it well look at why Rockets will not do it and they are going to have to understand they are about to have to rebuild in the motor city....We send cash so that they buy out Joey, Head is off the books at year's end and Battier is going home..... Look furthur into future for Rockets if you do this
Not a bad trade but I still say Detroit would never take Artest because of that brawl. I think the major area we need to work on is PG and then back up C. SF should be something we should be looking at getting in a younger player to develop for the future. Another stat I look at if I was the GM is FG%. If a player doesn't shoot at least .450% I typically wouldn't want them on the team. It's all about efficiency and how many points can we get in the least amount of shots attempted. Thats why I chose some of these guys. If I had it my way this would be the blockbuster trade that would help 4 teams out including ourselves. Milwaukee is needing to dump salary because they are even talking about having to sell the team since sales have been so low so creating salary cap room for them is a must and teams could really take advantage of their situation so thats why they don't get much in return on this deal other then they get out of the Jefferson deal to free up cash. Phoenix needs defense so they get Battier, Villaneuva, and Iverson(which doesn't do much defense but neither does Nash). Phoenix also gets the ending contract of Villaneuva and Iverson, so if neither of them workout they will loads of cash to sign free agents this summer. They also get out of the 3 year Amare salary which they would no doubt like to ditch with the way he's been sulking. Detroit gets a great deal out of the situation but they lose Iverson's huge expiring contract in exchange for T-mac, Amare, and Tyronn Lue. It's an offer they would be dumb to refuse. The Rockets get probably the best deal of this blockbuster but we are on tap longer with contracts so that could be seen as a negative but we get Jefferson, Rip, and Nash. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...ms=10~21~15~15~21~8~10~8~21~15~10~8&te=&cash= Here it is on RealGm's trade checker also: http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/3/
say buddy i traded battier not artest.....i know they don't take artest, but battier is from michigan...look at it again
also we aren't trading tracy let's face it...plus there you go making the pistons a good team...send me STAT lol.......my makes a whole lot of sense if you look at it closely

ROTFL!!...Talking about no vaseline for detroit ...that would be that old-fashion penitary style rape
Come on. Let's trade T-mac for Chris Bosh and Bargnani. win-win for both Rockets and Raptors. Get T-mac back to Toronto and join with Little O'neal. Rox's lineup would be Yao, Bosh, Artest, Vofar, Alston. Bench players: Scolandry, Barry, AB, Shane, Bargnani (I guess this would be most strong bench lineup in the league) when Yao is out, Put Bosh at 5, Landry at 4. When Bosh is out, play Yao + Scola. when Artest is out, play Battier or Bargnai depending on the situation. BTW, RA once played Landry at 3. this lineup would be so freaking strong. The only weakness would be the guards. Maybe trade Battier for a decent guard.
My trade for now is centered on moving Head...i'm ok w/ Head for Law swap as one already suggested here...or we can package Head + Dorsey for Warrick...watcha think?
Head-for-Warrick is another deal I previously suggested as well, although it seemed rather unrealistic given that Warrick has quietly been a superb 6th man. The good news is ever since Lionel Hollins took over he and Warrick haven't been on the same page. Hollins is trying to push a faster paced, more transition oriented tempo while Warrick has excelled at scoring in the halfcourt. If this keeps up I wouldn't be surprised if Memphis moved him but I fear Luther won't be enough to get the job done.
