that's actually an interesting trade, we definitely lose (super)star power and the other teams get more, but i think overall Houston would have a more complete team and better fit. Phoenix would struggle with so many me-guys...Detroit would be interesting though. I would just worry about the drop in athleticism, but maybe it's worth it.
This is why. There is close to zero chacne Ron Artest will re-sign with the Rockets next season. It is better we get rid of Artest to try adn win a Championship, becasue we will not win with Artest and McGrady in the same team. It is also been proven in the past that we can win with T-Mac and it is not proven that we cna win with Artest.
here is one for you MR. Nolocke http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...753~2776&teams=10~17~30~30~17~10~17&te=&cash= new lineup Felton,Brooks Tmac, wafer,Barry Vince,Artest Scola,LandryDorsey Yao,Deke Now the reasoning.....Nets will be unloading Vince's contract finally, the three players they are getting back will all be off by 2010... Bobcats are trying to unload Felton right now (what reason I don't know but it is what it is)....and just hope that larry brown is still in love with battier....would be even better if we had a hand shake behind close doors and they buyout Hayes only for us to resign him (send them the cash needed to buy him out).... Rockets well it is pretty obvious win now mode I hope
just read about the artest situation.....his contract would fit if you sub him for battier....plus keep hayes i believe
What can everyone agree on that we really need to be considered championship material? A consistent PG? McGrady and/or Artest's departure?
I just don't like Vince's contract. It goes for way to long and he has shown to be as unreliable as T-mac at times. I wouldn't blow our 2010 chances for Vince. The only players I'm willing to let go of this season are Artest, Rafer, Head, and Dorsey. I would like to keep T-mac because he has proven himself with this team time and time again, even though he gets injured way to much. However Rafer, Head, Artest, and Dorsey so far haven't shown enough to really warrant keeping at this point. We really need a point guard with a high FG% and Assist leader. Back up Center would be great but I think we can get by until next season if we absolutely have to.
hey buddy you were saying bring in Rip remember? his contract is for 5 years and vince's is for 4 years...it is actually a year shorter than Rip's
Ok maybe its the fact that he's related to McGrady then lol. No but seriously I can see Rip being a much more reliable guy and team player. I don't mind signing long term contracts to guys that will be reliable and man up. Vince has never struck me as this type of guy. Not saying your deal was bad, just that there are others out there I would rather have and possibly at a cheaper price.
i think it would motivate the both of them for the next 2 or 3 years which is not that bad because he will be an expiring by the time the motivation has died LOL
I think we should trade the entire team except Von Wafer for a cloning machine and clone 14 more Von Wafers.
Artest + Brooks for Duhon + Lee I'd prefer the Rockets Artest and traded McGrady instead... I've revised this scenario so the Rockets stay under LT:
Corey Magette has averaged about 70 games a year, with one exception the year he only played 32 games. And a guy getting about 10 million a year and scoring 20ppg with excellent offensive production and an Attacking mentality. We would be in the penalty all 4th quarter with him on the team. I like Mike Miller, I like Kirk Hinrich....but to me....Magette would be a deal that COULD happen for Artest as they want out of that contract....and the Rockets would take off...IMO. DD
