heh, thats an understatement. More like slightly raped without the oil.

    Chicago is fair.

We just win in this trade.

I'd like to add that becoming contenders shouldnt be close to main a reason.

Actually if I had to have a 2nd team it would be the Raptors. Who are the other members that are worth mentioning other then Gooden and Thomas??? What kind of basketball fan would think they have young TALENTED PF's?!?! And like I already told you if that ONE SIDED deal that you and many others already put down and many others like myself already replied to came about I would be ecstatic because like I said in my last post it would be Rockets robbery. But what others tend to do is try to be not knowingly but try to MAKE SENSE FOR BOTH TEAMS. Anyone with basketball IQ can see where a team hurts. Anyone who keeps up with rumors and stats and watches other games can see what teams needs. Gooden? To be honest I could care less if he plays or not he was their filler like we use Head and a lot of Tmac's contract as a filler. One thing for certain is that Gooden isnt happy playing in Chicago and Landry could get more minutes then what he gets here therefore showing more of what he can do therefore getting him a better contract next time around. Lets ask you this. As a Rockets fan, is Tmacs condition getting worse? In your opinion...has Tmac made some bad noise around the NBA....is 20m to 23mil next year worth taking a chance to see if he can be at least half as productive as he used to be? What happens if he doesnt come back now who ever has him is stuck until after 2k10 with a HOPE that 15 other teams wont go after some of the big names. Lets face it, as fans we already know whats going on with Tmac and we want change. We want a chance at a title this year not next year when Tmac MIGHT heal and even then heal up to a certain percent getting hurt again. But with the trade myself and I am sure others that knew of realistic scenarios we add 2 players that can and will impact and lose just 1? Call me stupid but thats a good move.

You just said they are having problems with their guards, Too many with few getting the time they want. Lets see 2 guards for 2 guards. Your math doesnt add up. AB is starting to get more and more PT. But yet he isnt starting over Rafer, hmm that tells me something.

While fantasy though, you can always have a reality to why BOTH teams want it. Not just ours.

BG is going where the money is. I believe he wanted 12mil? But he kinda got screwed over by the Bulls not making a decision and by the time he said anything all the teams didnt have the cap space. And yes Tmac does have a strong fan base, this and the 2k10 contract are his only real assets atm.

Lawl. You need to read my post again there guy. Here let me make it easy for you.

1st off I was just naming teams off in no particular order you should have gotten the hint when I said anyone else in this league. You just seem to make the 2k10 thing bigger then it is.

And just FYI, I've seen a couple other same trades from others in this thread with differing players from Gooden to Hughes to Nocioni. But our end was the same (TMac, Head, Landry). All I did was "rebump" it and apparently had to reexplain it.

Oh I love it when someone has to resort to trying to belittle another person in a debate. It shows you are at a loss already and trying to make yourself look better. GoodGame buddy.

If you didn't catch the Rockets/Celtics game then maybe you would know that Hayes is our diamond in the rough defensively, and Scola can't guard Garnett so there is no way I would let go of Hayes at this point. He is very underrated defensively, just needs to work on those free throws. :)

Wsup Locke, I have to agree. I think they would be most willing to take a CHANCE on Tmac. If they can acknowledge they arent title contenders this year or even next then just maybe.

We have a non production from roughly 20 mil. We can and should try to find some use from that.

I am fan of Hayes for his defense, heart and effort on the court. I also like his contract and I loved the way he defended KG but, he is getting less and less PT on this team and now having less of an impact on the rockets. I would love to keep in in a rockets uniform but I would let him go if it meant getting Kirk. Right now Chuck plays every other game but, Kirk would have an impact on the court the way Brooks does with his 3 point shooting and penatration. He can also finish at the rim and create his own shot if it is needed.

Like I the Chuckwagon but you have give up something to get something.

I really dont think other teams would see Chuck the way we see him. Being rocket fans we appreciate his defense and his small contract but other teams wouldnt see that as recieving something for something? I dont know...

but read the like last 10 replies and you will see why Chicago is ridding some guards. Your proposal defeats there purpose.

This is probably the kind of deal we would be looking at if we were to let T-mac go in his current slump. Although I don't want Hughes we could always use him to trade for something else the same day we get him, but if we could get these guys for a useless T-mac I would do it in a heartbeat.

If T-mac does want to come back full strength then I think we could get Hinrich in a deal without having to give up T-mac. Although we would probably have to let one of our power forwards (unfortunately Chuck would be easier to let go then Scola or Landry) go in this deal which I dislike but if they would take Rafer off our hands I would do this deal in a heartbeat as well considering we would still be good for the 2010 free agency. Only reason I would see Chicago doing this is to free up cap space for 2010, since Hinrich is a 4 year deal they might be more willing to move him. All we would be losing is Head which is dead wait and hardly plays(Chicago would see this as an expiring contract this coming year so they can resign someone like Gordon to a max deal), Hayes which I don't want to see go but his minutes have been next to nothing, and Rafer who we all I think want to see either gone or coming off the bench.

You are correct, and he would come off the books the same year McGrady would have. We could easily trade him to some idiot team, there's always someone out there dumb enough to roll the dice.

It doesn't work because it'll put the Rockets over LT.

Alston +Head +Scola/Landry for Hinrich works but they'll need to sign a pro-rated min salary player to fill in the 13th roster spot.

I doubt Alston will get traded as his contract expires conveniently in time for 2010 FA.
