Or like I said just eat the excess salary, because Nash and Barbosa for a cripple is highway robbery. Trade exception FTW.

Steve Kerr is probably dumb enough to do that too.

Well if you think about it, Miami did the same thing to them last year with Shaq. He was injured off and on and then flat out didn't want to play for Miami anymore so they moved him for Marion which in my opinion wasn't that bad of a trade for Miami. Could happen again, you never know but DM or Les need to at least try and see what they could get at this point.

This to me is one of the best trade ideas that i have seen on here in some years, being it actually makes sense for all the teams involved and also everyone that is mentioned is actually on the trading block right now.

Morey should look at this trade and call the teams involved :D
Make it work Les and Morey and watch us become what you expected us to be this year

    I don't like it.

Hinrich is no sure thing to be a upgrade over Alston and it takes us out of the 2010 signings. If they was so eager to move Carter why would they want McGrady? Well NM that is what the asking price would be i guess, but we have other assets to land Carter that also expire before 2010 is why i'm asking.

Would NJ really want to swap cousins because that would be kinda funny to see on National television.

Hinrich yuck he plays good defense and can go into shooting funks just like Alston and his contract no thanks.

Can we pick up Antwan Jamison for T-Mac? Is that deal even possible? I've liked Jamison ever since he was in Golden State and he's been rock steady in Washington.

    I like Jamison too.

I truly do believe Rockets prime target in 2010 is Chris Bosh.

I would not do that trade above though Hinrich has 4 years on his contract and it's 2009 right now so how can we sign him after next season if we pull the trigger on that deal above?

I would much rather have patience.

not questioning your basketball knowledge but why do you not think he is an upgrade of Alston? he shoots better averages more assist and is younger. He is an upgrade over Alston also we are in a win now mode...the reason why they would move Carter for McGrady is right there in his reasoning for the trade so please read it all and it seems to answer all the questions

Hinrich! He'd be perfect! AB would be a great change of pace, and could play alongside him some. I think Hinrich would blossom here.

Also with Hinrich on the payroll we will only have a 8 Million on the books in 2010 having to sign Yao so we could still get one big time FA wrong again

lolz because he is not look at his contract and not just the age.

He has been in a funk for the past year and a half and if that was the current deal the organization and fans can only hope he returns back to his old self.

But if its about "win it now mode" and forget 2010 then pull the trigger.

I'm just saying i much rather be patient because 2010 really will get here quickly and we will have Bosh hopefully.

I feel like there are alot of options for Houston which would be great. There are alot of teams with great players who just aren't living up to expectations and might be willing to mix it up, ie Phoenix, Clips, Sixers, Bulls, etc.

They might be willin to take a package of McGrady/Alston for

    Nash/Barbosa
    Baron/Camby
    Miller/Dalem or AI
    Heinrich/Gordon

I like the Phoenix one the most, because it actually gives us decent outside shooters to surround Yao with. Hypothtical Clippers trade bothers me because I am not a huge Baron fan and it doesn't give us a replacement SG (but would be hella fun to watch!). Not 100% sold on Miller, because as far as I remember he isnt a great shooter which is what I believe to be ideal in a PG for our system. Heinrich and Gordon is intriguing, because I think Ben Gordan is the perfect type of SG we need with Yao, but Henrich is injured and a questionable upgrade for Rafer when you consider the contract.

I would HIGHLY consider anyone of those trades if Tracy continues his current playstyle. Don't get me wrong though, if last year's playoffs Tmac comes back, you don't make these trades, you stick with what you got.

you still can get bosh with adding Hinrich. Bosh plus Hinrich still works under the cap...We will be able to add one big time FA in 2010.

im sold with the baron/camby or heinrich/gordon trade. but not so much with nash/barbosa. nash needs an uptempo game to flourish. obviously, he's not liking playing with a slow center like shaq which would be the same for yao.

on the other hand, i would like a mike miller trade. a miller/madsen for battier/head/hayes kind of trade. mix it up a little to make the money work.

minny gets a shooter replacement for mike in battier and head. also, battier would be the team's mentor and anchor. they get a good defender in hayes to replace madsen. if we still had that pick we sent along with francis, im sure minny might consider doing the trade.

we get madsen basically to replace hayes, but he's bigger and more aggressive. he can ride the pine as much as adelman wants. the dude wont complain. the better part of the trade is we get a veteran shooter/slasher in mike miller. not to mention that he's tmac's best friend. im sure having mike around will help tmac get back to his senses. but if he doesnt, well, mike can definitely pick up the scoring slack. mike is better than battier offensively and we still have ron to cover for losing battier on the defensive end. we still have that win-now lineup. but the best part is, miller and madsen expires in time for 2010! so if we dont win anything in the next 2 years, we'll have a free agent signing bonanza on 2010!

Um if last years TMac playoff style shows up its too late to trade since weer past the trade deadline.

I dont think Chicago would give up Gordon being the top scorer right now (is he still the top scorer?)

dont for get NJN. JayZ being good friends with LBJ would give NJN the expiring contract being perfect for picking up LBJ. Do not know if this alone is a good reason though.

What about Detroits Wallace combined with someone else. Hamilton would be a no no for Detroit but anyone else?

Toronto's Oneal's keeps getting injured so him combined with someone could work out? I know they got Bargnani and Anthony Parker on the trading block. So Oneal with either of those two might be fitting?

Gerald Wallace is still being shopped.

Can someone give me a link with Yao's contract. Two places I go to show his contract is up in 2k11 but for some reason everyone keeps thinking its 2k10???
