Kirk will be back in early Feb. So he will be back for the trade deadline plus his salary is one of the few in the league that was front loaded which means his money goes down each year...Right up Mr. Moneyball's alley if you ask me.....For Rafer and chuck I would do it but from Chicago stand point they might not....Chicago is looking for front court help so you would have to get a third team involved or give up either Landry or Scola which I would only do if they send back Thomas or Noah....Here are a few trades that work for everyone involved... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...~3217&teams=10~10~4~4~23~23~23~23~4&te=&cash= new lineup would be Kirk,Brooks Tracy,Wafer Battier,Artest Scola,Drew Gooden Yao,Deke Drew Gooden was just a throw in it may work if we are willing to give up either Landry or Scola another problem would be adding a couple of people to sit at the end of the bench...Calling Dorsey from the d league is one after that your guess is as good as mine
I saw this posted on another site and I kinda liked it Bobcats Trade: -Raymond Felton -Gerald Wallace -Adam Morrison Rockets Trade -Tracy McGrady -Chuck Hayes the Rockets would get 3 solid contributers and a guy in Wallace who can take the place of tmac
Kings are in salary dump mode...that is why they are shopping Miller and Salmons right now that is how it is good for them
are they shopping for a specific year do u know? where they in salary dump with artest cause I thought it was artest wanting off the team and making big news from it then they start loosing more games then before and Miller already stated he wants to play competitive and be winning salmons is only being shopped because he has value dont get me wrong if that trade can be done i'd be like whoa nice job and all. can miller shoot the midrange?
Hope we can trade for a player and contributor who can drive inside and score...I think we have so much spot up and catch & shoot players...Dunno, if this is only due to the Yao effect (kick out plays)
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...9~2188~2794&teams=29~17~29~10~10~17&te=&cash= We would get a back upp big man and a reliable shooter. Memphis wants a kind of Defense specialist and they have enough scorers already so I think they wouldn't mind. New Jersey would get another shooter in Luther head and they would get Warrick as Williams replacement. IMO it would be helpful to both teams.
Proposed Trade: Would be done some time in late January Houston sends Rafer Alston & Von Wafer to Indiana Indiana sends Marquis Daniels and 2nd round pick to Houston. Houston line up becomes: PG McGrady/Brooks/Barry SG Daniels/Barry/Head SF Artest/Battier/ PF Scolandry/Hayes C Yao/Deke/Dorsey Rockets Reasons: McGrady can only be special as a scorer in spurts. However, if his minutes are limited and we tell him he doesnt need to exert all his energy scoring, He can potentially get you 5 reb, 8 assists a game while shooting 39%+ (this season) from 3. You basically get a better version of Alston. Daniels is athletic and drives the ball well. No is not a great shooter, but you still have Artest, McGrady, Brooks, Battier (once he is healthy), Barry, and Head to hit 3-ptrs. Daniels is athletic enough to guard most PG, especially bigger ones. Really fast ones would still be troublesome, but we still have Brooks to help there and potentially Artest. Don't want to give up Wafer, but have to add someone there to make money work. Pacers Reasons: Dunleavy is their true starting SG who has been injured. He is back to practice finally and should be playing again in a few weeks. Daniels is owed 6 mill this year, and 7 mill next year as a team option. As 6th-man that is expensive, especially when they have Brandon Rush waiting in the wings to take over soon. Also, at PG they have TJ Ford who is solid but inconsistent at times. Diener and Jack are even more inconsistent. Rafer has shown he is very good at running a team efficiently. The team is full of good 3-pt shooters, so a veteran who can get them into and out sets on offense and settle them could help them turn around their season. Not the best trade, but only way I could see how to put our players in best position and still some chance to be decent this season. If it doesn't work, Rockets do not sign Daniels next year. (I do realize we could accomplish this by simply starting Brooks/Head/Barry/Wafer at SG & Tmac at PG, with Rafer as the Back-up PG with Artest, but I really don't see Adelman doing that anytime soon).
^ That's a pretty decent idea. Moving McGrady into a "Magic Johnson" role may be best for the team and Tracy. Let him run the team and create the plays for others.
rpr, Good idea in theory, however I doubt Indiana wants to take on another PG. They already have four as it is including Tinsley's dead weight deal.
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrad...tradeid=4900209 dont know if this link works but its a trade i tried sending Tracy and Shane to the Raptors for Jermaine O'Neal Jason Kapono and Andrea Bargnani what do you guys think Change in Team Outlook: +9.5 ppg, +5.2 rpg, and -2.8 apg. our staring five: rafer kapono(much better shooter than Mcgrady) artest scola yao bench: O'neal Bargnani Brooks Landry Barry Head Deke IR: Hayes Wafer Dorsey
McGrady (2yrs) for Gordon (exp) + Hughes (2yrs) + 2009 1st round pick <table><tr><td>Alston, Brooks, Head Gordon, Hughes, Barry Battier, Artest, Wafer Scola, Landry, Dorsey Yao, Deke, Hayes</td><td>Rose, Hinrich, Hunter McGrady, Thabo Deng, Nocioni Gooden, Thomas, Ruffin Gray, Noah, Simmons</td> </tr></table> Then for 2009-10 sign all draft picks to one year guaranteed deals: Alston, Brooks, Wafer Hughes, Barry, Newley Battier, Eliyahu, Leunen Scola, Landry, Dorsey Yao, Hayes, Weis So in 2010 free agency Yao, Battier, and Landry will be the only players with guaranteed contracts.
i like this but give them shane and we get nocioni aswell and as far as the 2009-2010 u have got to sign ARTEST have him start Alston, Brooks, Head Gordon, Barry, Wafer Artest, Nocioni, Hughes Scola, Landry, Hayes Yao, Deke, Dorsey
I'm normally resistant to jumping on the "TRADE T-MAC" train but I would have a hard time not considering this. If Gordon was locked in for $5-7M/year and the Bulls stunk worse than they really do (higher draft pick) I would be tempted to pull the trigger. Still, I remain defiant.....give me T-Mac or give me death
Warriors pushing Magette hard in trade talks. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...YF?slug=aw-jennings123108&prov=yhoo&type=lgns Anyway we could get him for McGrady?
Dont know many teams that would trade for injured or semi injured players. If Tmac isn't able to play in back to backs, what team will want him? Nobody. All this trade Tmac is stupid and pointless. Think about the things you say before you post.
