Clueless trades if you ask me. switch up the player and then you make a bit of sense. Guard for a guard....forward for a forward? (undersized with only one purpose of a forward as well...)
I wouldnt. Scola is a more persistent player, Keeping around his average day in day out while Landry on the other hand, well, if Bullard was talking would have to say the fire was out.
Marcus Camby next to Yao would be amazing. Both players would thrive. That would truly be a win-now move. I would definitely trade Scola and fillers for the Camby man.
Is that true? Could you imagine a front line like this. Yao, Camby, Jamison, (Scola or Landry), Deke, Dorsey?
Just like I started my Artest to houston campaign a couple of yrs ago, I'm starting the camby train. It just makes too much sense now and in 2 yrs. If u get camby, I think Yaos game will take off. I mean 11ppg 12rebs 3 blks 1 stl and 2.2 asst vs 1 to 51% fg 80ft. Starting 4 and can backup 5. No need to ever double the premier 4's again. When guys get beat, yao or camby gets the blk while the other gets the board.
Yea I would love to get Camby here, but we missed out on the give-away. What is LA looking for in terms of assets?
We didn't have the cap space for the give away. Denver was dumping salary big time and the Clippers had plenty of space to take on Camby's contract after losing out on Brand. Didn't the Nuggets basically get a huge trade exception out of the deal that they can let expire?
Head to Golden State for C.J. Watson/Marcus Williams Not that this is Earth-shattering news but Golden State is desperately looking to clear a roster spot to add Monta Ellis once he returns from suspension. According to ESPN's player card GS flirted with the idea of buying out Marcus Williams to accomplish this but are reluctant to outright cut him thereby eating his $1.26M salary. Offering Head for Williams + C.J. Watson is feasible given that the salaries match and all contracts involved expire after this year. GS is rumored to be going after Ray Felton and given Rafer's injury Watson and/or Williams could provide immediate help. It's no home run but its a move that benefits both sides. I highly doubt we would be able to find better value for Luther. Plus, Watson looks like a keeper. I wouldn't expect much from Williams since he seems to have the "Darius Miles: I don't need to work hard AND don't you dare tell me to work on my jumper" approach to life in the NBA. Fine. He's expiring so we are under no obligation to keep him. Watson is the guy I want.
Depth. Head is useless as a PG. Francis is useless as a player. With Rafer injured we're basically down to one functional PG. Watson/Williams are ready to play now and since they are expiring we are under no obligation to keep either should we choose to drop one of them. Brooks played 42 minutes against the Nuggets in one game without Rafer. Would you consider this ideal?
No, but I don't think this roster should be cluttered with anymore small players. Rafer going down does hit the depth of this roster and I agree about the useless nature of head and francis, but adding more small guys don't help the overrall big problem of this team. Now if u want to get Turiaf and Williams for head, francis, and hayes, then I can do that.
Watson is 6'2", Williams is 6'3". By NBA PG standards that's average. I would love to get Turiaf but GS would never accept an offer like that. Hayes would be utterly useless in an uptempo system that relies on shooting, scoring ability and athleticism. That's why I picked Head.
Alston + Battier to OKC for Westbrook + Wilcox + Serge Ibaka (draft rights) Head to OKC for TE Westbrook, Brooks, Francis T-Mac, Barry, Wafer Artest, Horry Scola, Landry, Dorsey Yao, Wilcox, Deke, Hayes
I missed that. Granted, it happened yesterday and the player involved was Richard Hendrix. I guess that's why I hadn't heard. Either way it's an idea I would keep on the back burner. If GS acquires Ray Felton they could have a need to trim down their roster a bit -- depending upon what they give up. Plus, Luther has value to a team like that.

Morey needs to call in another favor from Dennis Lindsey, and obtain the right to this guy from the Spurs like he did with Scola:
