How about McGrady and Alston for UTAH's Derron Williams! I think this would workout perfectly for both teams. Derron Willams is exactly the kind of point guard that the rockets need and McGrady and Alston will gel pretty well with UTAH. Jerry Sloan could be the kind of coach to bring back McGrady's passion and the will to win.
T-mac and rafer Alston For Vince Carter, Devin Harris and Yi... Salaries matchup and the Brooklyn Nets will have over 23 million a year to offer in the 2010 free agency bonanza.
Luther Head for (Clippers)Paul Davis and a #2 pick. I watched this kid last night and I think he is exactly what the Rockets need. He moves well, which means he can rebound. Also, he can score. Although, I think he was mismatched against Landry last night, against larger players I think he will fare alot better. Plus it will give us more size along the front line - he is 6'11". Lets face it, we are not going to get alot for Luther Head!!!!!
Actually if VC didn't have the contract he has, I would actually consider this trade. VC isn't any better or worse than T-Mac except he's older. On the other hand, unles NJ is gutting the team for salary cap room and starting from scratch, they would never do this trade. They're not going to trade their top three scorers and a point guard that is just now coming into his prime for T-Mac and Rafer. If we shipped them like Scola and brooks with T-Mac instead they might bite, but unless they are imploding it's not going to happen. They are barely above .500 team right now, but they are sixth in the East. Their standards out there are lower than the West where we have to keep at least a .600 winning percentage to even think about the post season.
Rockets Trade to New Jersey Rafer Alston, Aaron Brooks, and a future 2009 2nd round Pick from Memphis. Rockets trade to the LA Lakers Ron Artest New Jersey Trades to the Lakers a future 2009 2nd Round Pick (New Jersey) New Jersey trades to Rockets Vince Carter LA Lakers trade to Houston a future 2009 1st Round Pick(LA Lakers) LA Lakers trade to New Jersey Derek Fisher, Trevor Ariza, Jordan farmar, and cash. LA Lakers would be on the way to an NBA Championship with this trade happening. New Jersey gets a huge support off the bench. Ariza, Farmar, Fisher, Brooks, Alston, and a lot of great guys from good teams. Tmac and Carter are some kind of cousins. They know their offense together. Rockets Incoming Players: Vince Carter 2009 1st round Pick(from LAL) Rockets Outgoing players: Ron Artest Rafer Alston Aaron Brooks A future 2nd round pick from Memphis It could work. You'll probably say no.
No. Love VC to join Rox, but not for artest+rafer+AB. But with his contract, i doubt Rox could trade for him.
Rockets get: Josh Smith Steve Blake Cash from POR Cash from ATL Hawks Get: Raef LaFrentz LaMarcus Aldridge Jerryd Bayless Aaron Brooks Blazers Get: Tracy McGrady 21 2009 1st Round Pick(from ATL) 2009 2nd Round Pick(from LAC) 2009 2nd round pick (from MEM) Houston sends Aaron brooks to Atlanta Houston sends Tmac and a future 2nd round pick each from LAC and MEM to Portland Portland sends Steve Blake and cash to houston Portland sends Raef LaFrentz, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Jerryd Bayless to Atlanta Atlanta sends Josh Smith and cash to Houston Atlanta sends a future 1st round pick to Portland
Steve Nash is in the last of year of his contract with any guaranteed money. The Suns have a team option for him next year. If Phoenix continues to fall, maybe they'd think of trading him?
This trade only makes sense for the Rockets. I wouldn't mind taking Aldridge off of Blazers for Tmac either but I don't live in NBA 2k9.
When McGrady is finally healthy again. Will we see Artest play more minutes at PF? Scola is the better player at the moment but come fourth quarter Adelman places all his trust in Landry. Will Landry simply lose his role in the fourth quarter to Artest. Does Scola lose his starting position to Landry? A TE for Head will get the Rockets under LT but won't make room for Deke unless Wafer is also waived. Oklahoma is the only team in the league who are able to use their TE without going over LT. So the Rockets chances of trading for a TE appear to be very slim. An alternative to getting under LT is trading over $8M for 25% less in return. That might sound improbable but less so than the idea of the Rockets choosing to stay over LT? For the scenario below to work it needs to happen at the trade deadline for several reasons. The trade deadline is February 19. Alston +Landry +Head +Francis for Hinrich Rockets get under LT by $844,620 or Alston +Scola +Head +Francis for Hinrich Rockets get under LT by $945,287 Sign Deke on Feb 18, $369,893 (pro-rated amount) Sign Harris on Feb 18, $329,979 (pro-rated amount) Sign Horry on Apr 1, $86,694 (pro-rated amount) All three players salaries in total: $786,566 Hinrich, Brooks McGrady, Barry, Wafer Battier, (Harris), (Horry*) Artest, Scola/Landry, Dorsey Yao, (Deke), Hayes *If the Rockets feel they need a third PG for the playoffs they could sign Stoudamire or Armstrong instead of Horry. Chicago gets to salary dump Hinrich. Alston is a more cost-effective backup for Rose. Francis is an expiring contract. Bulls needs a quality big. Gooden is average but their best and is inconsistent. Noah is looking like a bust this season. Gray isn't good enough to play over 10 mins but he is... Head is an expiring but can also be leverage or insurance when they try to re-sign Gordon.
It makes sense for the Blazers too because now you roy, Oden, and McGrady on the same team. Kinda like a big 3. they also get draft picks of which they always want. but I was just messin around with Atlanta. This'll be better: Blazers get: Tracy McGrady Cash from HOU Rockets get: Raef LaFrentz Steve Blake LaMarcus Aldridge
Well, here is a topic for you guys: How did the Lakers get Pau Gasol? Think about it. It changed those guys into Championship contender . Now, I've heard that GM Jerry West is a great GM despite he manages for the Grizz. But, if he is that good, how did he say yes to that trade? Oh I see. He won championships with the Lakers. But why is he not laid off by now? If the Lakers can manage to do that, we'll do it with another franchise. The B-Diddy trade that's been going on around here sounds cool .
A year ago, my neighbor told me that Tmac was traded to Boston. I thought that he was a free agent at that time. i never said anything about Tmac again. Tmac along with the great wall will be 2009 champions celebrating at the Toyota Center.
Who will be our starting PG? Luther Head? In your scenario, we'd need to snatch Fisher/Farmar off the Lakers, otherwise we're left with no PG.
ok ok. we cant trade aaron brooks or carl landry. lets face it. those two are the future all stars of the rockets. the next john stockton and karl malone. nough said. oh yea btw here is mine. some of yall come up with the most irrational, illogical, and irregular trade ideas. why in the hell would portland trade aldridge for mcgrady?! get serious, talking bout portland will finally have a big 3, gtfo... and i'm as big of a rockets fan as they come. leave mcgrady where he's at and get over it...
