    Yuck....

Neither Kaman or Camby can create their own shot....and are arguably worse than both Yao and Scola....

I don't think athleticism is as important as basketball smarts.

to keep brooks you send them rafer, barry, chuck, and head.......It works as far as salary and all of them will be off there books within 2 years....

the problem for the rockets on this trade would be davis has a 5 year deal which i personally don't think he will live up to....he may prove me wrong but i just don't think it could happen...

I can see the clippers doing it just to save $ which would be quite a bit..Rockets doing it just to finally get a PG that can play with the other PG's of the league really nice line up we would have

    Starters
    Davis
    Tmac
    Battier
    Scola
    Yao

    Bench
    Artest
    Landry
    Brooks
    Francis
    Deke
    Dorsey
    Wafer

Room on roster to go back and get Mike Harris even ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Why do you need them to create a shot? Camby is a smart player, Kaman isn't so smart, but he knows when he gets the ball in the post, its either left hook or right hook. Both are good rebounders out of space and not just in frame. Both run the floor and move well inside a offense. Getting those two opens the offense, especially the baseline and gives the rox a quicker longer team. Like I said, I don't think it will happen, but do you think the team would be better, worse or the same?

I know you won't do it, but I don't want to hear about "not being a winner" when both have been farther in the playoffs than scola and yao.

I know Yao, Scola, Brooks are keepers for good. Houston will never trade them. Just imagine how many fans we get cause of Yao and all those chinese broadcasts when we need one. Alston, Head, Dorsey are a definite trade.

No need to trade Yao.....Just get us a PG who can hit some shots and we will be the best team in the NBA.....Look up at the trade I came up with it will solve PG and big man problems in freeing up roster space for Deke or whatever BIG you want to back up Yao....YAO is not our problem trust me

I agree with you 100% on your idea and the trade actually makes the most sense......Davis is having trouble with the clippers and we would be able to get rosters spots open....only thing is 2010 with all the FA that will be out there not sure if Morey want's to tie his hands come then

No, I don't think the team would be better.....I think Scola and Yao are a better combination than Camby and Kaman.

And GOAT....the Clippers would choose B-diddy over Dunleavy...so that trade has not got a chance in hades of happening.

Not yet, Alexander will never trade Yao mostly because he can get much money through Chinese business co-operations. This have still spread over our players.

Well, I know your love for scola and I never said yao was a problem, I just think that we've seen the best of Yao. I would hate to be right, but I think thelonger we keep Yao, the more he will erode. Now, I said it last year and during the summer, yao could just have the standard post olympic struggles a lot of players have.I mean he did have a season ending surgery last year, rehabbed and played in the summer games then rolled into the season. His lack of strength, lift, and poor decision making is really getting worse. Not only that, getting his shot blocked back in his face on a consistent basis is also becoming a trend.
Back to scola, I like the guy even though it may seem like I don't. I just think he's not the right type of guy to play with yao. He doesn't cover up enough for what yao lacks defensively. He's a try hard defender, but is small in terms of contesting shots and sorts. He's not very atheletic, so when the rox do get rebounds, he's not really a lane filler. Now the 1st trade won't happen, but when Kaman comes back going after Camby would be a great move to solve the sze/length issues at the 4 and the backup 5 spot. He makes 10m this year and has 1 after this. All the rox have to get to is 8.5m in salaries. Scola makes 3.1,francis makes 2.6, head makes 1.9 and dorsey makes 880k which completes the deal. I like scola, but I like camby more for this team.

Okay, let's get really stupid. You want to get up & down the floor? Then try this lineup on for size. :D

    Houston sends Yao to Phoenix.
    Houston sends T-Mac/Artest to Miami.

    Phoenix sends Stoudemire to Houston.

    Miami sends Marion/Chalmers/Blount to Houston.
Miami sends lottery protected #1 pick to Phoenix.

Phoenix would be able to move Yao to PF to pair with Shaq for a more conventional slow down half court game. With Yao's shooting range he should be able to spread the floor enough to take the pressure off of Shaq. This would in effect create a bigger stronger "Twin Towers". They also get an extra #1 pick to pair with their's to move up in the draft.

Miami could slide T-Mac into the role of PG with his ability to see the floor & his great passing skills. A lineup of T-Mac, Wade, Artest, Beasley, & Haslem would be a big lineup in the East & could be pretty solid. Could they give Boston some trouble? Maybe.

Houston could finally start getting up & down the floor all night long. Stoudemire is arguably the best young center in the game today & would be much happier, than he currently is, with RA's style of offense. Marion is a thoroughbred as well & is not being used properly in Miami. He needs to be running to be at his best. Chalmers is looking good early on, but can he run a fast paced offense like we would now be? Brooks might actually be able to step up his game with this new lineup. We'd also be able to start using some of our young players like Dorsey & Landry more effectively. Oh well, here's our new lineup.

    C: Stoudemire/Dorsey/Blount
    PF: Scola/Landry/Hayes
    SF: Marion/Battier/Barry
    SG: Battier/Barry/Head/Wafer/Francis
    PG: Chalmers/Alston/Brooks

Hehe, this fantasy league stuff is kinda fun. :D

I know there have been many ideas for trading for Sean Williams. There's no better chance than now to buy low on him. I think he's shut it down in Jersey and counting the days to get shipped out.

    Durant in the future?

I understand the future too. You think the rockets might look forward to it. We have a good team, and you look at LA right now and you start to think about this. This might belong in the random trade thread but i belive this guy belongs in houston with yao for the next kobe shaq tandom. If we get are hopes high on some top prospects in 2010 and get nothing what are we gonna do. He more likely would like playing with yao in texas his college state. Why not thinking about a way to get him this offseason if things dont turn out the way we want this season.

You can ban me if you want. :(

durant could take over after tracy retires and maybe lead us somewhere during yao's twilight years. i dont know why he would want to play in OKC but i dont think he will come to houston.

that would be great to have durant but i think it's only a pipe dream.

yao would be lucky to average 10/10 by the time durant is a FA.

The more I watch him play, the more I think that Troy Murphy would be a good fit here. The guy can board and shoots good from 3-pt line.

Of course he is also making way too much, 10 mil/year.
