F that trade. Yao and Scola aren't going anywhere but you can pick up some garbage for Head and Dorsey if you like.
Artest, Brooks, and Francis's contract for Baron Davis. The honeymoon is over for B-Diddy and Dunleavy , I'll be surprised if he makes it through the All Star break. Davis hates the fact that Dunleavy calls all the plays from the bench. So he'd love Adelman's fluid half court offense. No more PG problems, and Alston can run the second unit. Davis TMac Batman Scola Yao. I like it.
that's what we need. another injury prone player (stellar as he may be) and we are giving up artest? yeah, he has been playing like garbage lately but he has been here what a few months?
LOL. I wouldn't give up Brooks, hes a future all star PG. And Artest is less injury prone than Baron Davis. If it was Devin Harris or Roy I would do it.
Probably the most reasonable "trade for a star" proposal i've seen too far. Usually it's "HEAD + FRANCIS + BATTIER = LEBRON , GET IT DONE". This actually is fair from both sides. Would I do it? Absolutely not. For those complaining about Artest and T-Mac's shot selection -- you've seen nothing yet. Plus, Baron only cares when he wants to. Just watch: he'll quit on that team before the All-Star break. Trading one volatile player (with Brooks, no less) for another volatile player is basically a trade off. Only our end of the "trade off" comes with an enormous contract we would be stuck with long after our "win now" window closes.
I'm sorry but brooks is not a future all star pg. He's solid bench PG, but all-star pgs actually know how to pass right.
Dude do you watch basketball or even know the rules about trading. Baron just signed a HUGE contract this offseason. All 3 of our guys wouldn't match his contract. Plus even if it did why would we want that huge contract. Another thing is Brooks is coming along and with trading Brooks thats a no no. I'll change brooks to Alston. No need to have a backup pg with the salary Alston has.
call me crazy but here it is: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...~2763~61~3010&teams=1~1~1~10~10&te=&cash=1:10 Guys want 2 upgrade at point guard. Here it is Atlanta Hawks Trade: Mike Bibby Solomon Jones Houston Trades Shane Battier Rafer Alston Head and cash I know it takes 2 to trade but with this we can get our pg and back up center. Yeah he is not Deke but he is another body with height. I really hate to see Battier traded but in order to get something good you have to give up something. Atlanta is a very young talented team that needs another veteran player next to Joe Johnson. Battier is an excellent player in that role that can help that young team
Huge contract is right, he sign a 11.5m deal. Artest= 7.4m, AB=1m, SF3=2.6m What do you know, it works. And FYI, rafer's contract is 4.9m. So before you blow your big mouth, at least do some research. Anyway, no way will Clips trade baron for a small forward, back-up PG and expiring contract, when they already have Al Thorton, and no PG bench.
haha, what about artest for durant+fillers? Thunders is going no where with Durant, the team lack veterans and their defense is bad, real bad. Durant can take over Tmac's spot till tmac fully recover. Oh and for people that do not get it.. This is one of those illogical trades.
That trade I proposed probably won't happen, but if it did, do u think the rox would be better, worse or the same?
Nope. Never seen a game in my life. And the only rule I know is that a swap for Baron Davis wouldn't be possible until December 15th, since he was signed in the offseason. It was just a hypothetical, I highly doubt we'll move Artest for BDiddy. Given the temperament of each player, neither would be too happy (despite his disagreements with Dunleavy, Davis loves LA). But as far as the possibility of a trade like that actually occurring, it seemed feasible, which is more than could be said about three-quarters of the trade scenarios on this thread.
