I doubt the Rockets can get All Star talent in return for T-Mac with his injury history. At this pont I'd be happy with a healthy promising player like Rush than waiting on T-Mac's next excuse/injury/etc...

The Matrix also brings size ,scoring, defense etc. Some body needs to get Shawn Marion out of Miami. How will Marion fit in with our half court offense? He has all those attributes that you mention but he is a poor ball handler and needs a Nash/CP3/Deron like PG to succeed IMO.Rafer and Brooks can't help him out.
I agree with you that we aren't likely to get anything more than that for him right now but I would prefer to let his expiring contract pass out next year. I would also be extremely hesistant in giving Artest an extension based on what he has shown so far.
why do people want marion? he's a Battier that can dunk. just another stat sheet stuffer. he cant carry a team at all. rockets have enough guys who cant create their own shot and cant make plays for teammates.
i dont know whats going on with the pistons and the bobcats and clippers but all these teams have problems with their players or really want to drop some players. Charlotte: sometimes wants to let J richardson go or gerald wallace Clippers: want kaman or camby out of there cuz of their glut at the 5 Pistons: iverson having a problem with not having enough minutes, as well as prince not liking his role on the team anymore oh yea and the Heat: shopping marion if any trade is going to happen its going to involve these teams and maybe our team but we shall just see but this is as real as its going to get. hopefully after any trades we become a better team, i dont care about salary cap relief cuz we have to win now but if health is a problem then Les better spend big next time we get room to spend on a Free agent.
Since everyone is throwing out scenerios that won't happen, here is mine. Wait 2 weeks and trade Yao,scola, head, dorsey for Kaman,Camby, and Jordan Adding longer atheletic productive players who get up and down the floor better and are better shot blockers. Clipps get 1 all star and another good player in scola along with head and dorsey. Clipps get a "big name" in yao to compete with Lakers for fans. Money is even and the rox could move forward with a center/forward combo of Kaman and Camby then Landry comes in and slide over to center. All the gus would play 32 mins per. Camby has 2 yrs left and Kaman I think 3 or 4. By then, maybe Jordan will have progressed enough to take over for Camby.
