I'm positive Ron Artest won't re-sign with the Rockets, so he's a good trade chip. Chuck Hayes and Ron Artest for Caron Butler http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=25~2834~1705&teams=27~27~10&te=&cash= Chuck Hayes Ron Artest Joey Dorsey To Detroit for Rodney Stuckey and Richard Hamilton http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...3235~25~3421~2834&teams=10~10~8~8~8&te=&cash= Either way, this loss to the Pacers wasn't a big deal. They were hungrier, and the Rockets missed their closer.
Unless Detroit wants to get rid of Rip, there's no reason for them to do that trade, because they have no idea if Ron will stay in Detroit.
No way they would add Stuckey to the deal. I don't want to lose the Chuckster but if it means Hamilton, I would do in a heartbeat.
aint no way in hell Detroit does this trade. They think Stuckey is there future PG and Rip is their main scorer. They are resigning McDyess, so they dont need Hayes and Dorsey, and Artest would be a rental
Brooks Dorsey Batttier To Detroit for Stuckey and Hamilton http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...235~976~3192~3421&teams=10~10~8~8~8&te=&cash=
Two of those contracts end in 2010. Hamilton is signed for 5 years and is only getting older. The way he plays though, he should have no problem finishing out his contract barring injury.
The Thunder are the only team in the league that can absorb Head's contract with a TE without going over/adding to the LT threshold. The alternative is for the Rockets to trade for a player/s worth over $8M and send 25% +100k more in return. Hinrich at the trade deadline is looking good right now. If Joakim Noah can keep on performing like a bust until then Alston + Francis (expiring) + Head (expiring) + Hayes + Wafer (non-guaranteed) for Hinrich
Enticing but no, who would be their 2nd option then? The oh so inconsistent Sheed? Brooks? Tay Tay? IMO Artest has to be in the deal and I much rather give him up than Battier anyways. Once again Stuckey is their future.
A huge trade has been sent to David Stern, which involves tmac and Hayes neither of whom played tonight's game. Some how Marion didn't show in the heat's game againest blazers either. So it's reasonable that tmac and hayes are gonna be traded to Heat, in return we'll get Marion and blount (a backup center we need) and some dirivatives like picks and cashes.
So just because the trade involves some contracts that expire in the year of LeBron, they'd be willing to give up Stuckey and Rip to pick up some forwards they don't need and Aaron Brooks. I don't think that Dumars has given up on their current team yet.
No way that trade happens. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...3235~25~3192~1781&teams=10~10~8~8~8&te=&cash= I think both teams could win from this trade if Detroit throws in McDyess. Stuckey/Rafer Hamilton/Head/Wafer TMac/Barry Landry/Hayes/Dorsey Yao/McDyess/Deke AI/Brooks/Bynum Artest/Afflalo/Acker Prince/Hermann Scola/Amir Wallace/Maxiell/Kwame
How bout this one. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...5~255~2763~510&teams=10~4~14~14~4~10&te=&cash
