+1 PS. Most of the teams have at least one point guard better than our team whose goal is championship
Man I gotta support this. You are brilliant. You said pretty much everything I wanna say. I have almost the same opinion on the current roster.
One thing I didnt mention was that Battier can be traded if it is reasonable. On defense we need size in point guard and back up center. On offense hand we need athleticism, so, Battier can be traded if we get athletic good player. But I think its unlikely he will be traded this season unless its part of the package.
ok since we need a back up center and larry hughes wants out of chicago and clippers are willing to part with camby or one of their bigs i have proposed this trade. Houston Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -1.4 ppg, +4.7 rpg, and -0.1 apg. Incoming Players Joakim Noah 6-11 PF from Florida 3.4 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 16.9 minutes Outgoing Players Luther Head 6-3 PG / SG from Illinois 4.8 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 14.5 minutes Chicago Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -0.4 ppg, +2.3 rpg, and +0.9 apg. Incoming Players Eric Gordon 6-3 SG / PG from Indiana 4.5 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.3 apg in 13.6 minutes Marcus Camby 6-11 C from Massachusetts 9.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.7 apg in 28.5 minutes Outgoing Players Joakim Noah 6-11 PF from Florida 3.4 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 16.9 minutes Larry Hughes 6-5 SG from St. Louis 11.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.1 minutes L.A. Clippers Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: +1.8 ppg, -7.0 rpg, and -0.8 apg. Incoming Players Luther Head 6-3 PG / SG from Illinois 4.8 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 14.5 minutes Larry Hughes 6-5 SG from St. Louis 11.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 23.1 minutes Outgoing Players Eric Gordon 6-3 SG / PG from Indiana 4.5 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.3 apg in 13.6 minutes Marcus Camby 6-11 C from Massachusetts 9.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.7 apg in 28.5 minutes breakdown: Rockets get Noah, we need size at the 5 for backup and we give up head so nothing lost. Chicago: gets a real center in Camby, gets some defense and lets go of larry hughes big contract and he gets to play big minutes with the clippers. They pick up Eric Gordon to keep salary right. Clippers: they pick up head and Hughes which are more capable of scoring than ricky davis and get an expiring contract. They also let go of Eric gordon but might be able to contend in the west. They cant contend with Gordon hes too young and wont help immediately.
Just two. I've been wanting to get him JVG first year when he was bringing all of the washed up Knicks here. Unfortunantly I wasn't on Clutchfans then.
Its the same thing as the previous trade, this trade is basically 2 trades as with or without noah/head trade, it still works. So why would bulls trade a big with potential for a 12th man?
Orlando Magic Incoming Players Steve Francis Salary: $2,634,480 Years Remaining: 1 Luther Head Salary: $1,962,378 Years Remaining: 1 PTS: 4.8 REB: 0.8 AST: 1.0 PER: 4.47 Chuck Hayes Salary: $1,768,000 Years Remaining: 2 PTS: 1.7 REB: 4.4 AST: 0.6 PER: 6.85 Shane Battier Salary: $6,448,900 Years Remaining: 3 Outgoing Players: Hedo Turkoglu, Tony Battie Houston Rockets Incoming Players Hedo Turkoglu Salary: $6,864,200 Years Remaining: 2 PTS: 16.7 REB: 4.8 AST: 4.0 PER: 13.53 Tony Battie Salary: $5,746,000 Years Remaining: 2 PTS: 3.8 REB: 4.2 AST: 0.3 PER: 13.33 Outgoing Players: Steve Francis, Luther Head, Chuck Hayes, Shane Battier We are still are in need of a guy that can break the defense down and score or create for others, and we need a tall guy that can defend and rebound. This is a trade I would be looking for. I don't think Orlando will go for it but it would be great for us. We added a third scorer in Artest but we still need a guy that can create off the dribble for himself and others which Hedo can do. Then we will get Battie who is 6-11 and can play PF and C. This move would complete our team. On the other hand if Francis can come back and be that guy that breaks the defense and score or create for others and we resign Deke I would keep the current roster but that is a big IF.
Battier + Head for Miller we get the outside threat, he passes well and doesn't force anything. seems like a good fit with artest and mac.
they get gordon a new guard and a real center. they have a good backcourt with rose and ben gordon and why not get a center thats good defensively for giving up a player whose barely gona play.
Probably got a better chance trying to get tyrus thomas. But it aint gonna happen with head. Maybe head and dorsey + pick
Wade and T-Mac play the same position and both need to handle the ball to be effective. I see zero chemistry there. And Beasley has tremendous upside. I think he'll be a 30 PPG scorer in this league some day. Miami fans would laugh at you for this trade. Would be nice for us though.
really i mean i think noah is dispensible because hes behind gooden in the center rotation and if that trade could work , gooden would be 2nd to camby. oh well just wishful thinking in this forum.
noah sucks. have you watched him play. don't want him, and we don't need him. rather sign deke and trade luther for TE.
hehe, I love people who bring players out of their price range. For a 2mil player Noah brings what its worth. I am sorry but if a trade went down tomorrow Head and a pick for Noah I would be enthused. And you dudes need to chill with the Luther for a TE. If it could of happened already it would have. No one wants him. TE my ass. Maybe if you looked from a business point of view instead of a biased fan base then you would see this.
Again, I am not sure why people think we would trade Tmac, artest, scola, Yao away for some scrabs at this point. If ya think those trades are great trade in a year that we are trying to win it all, then pls suggest that to your NBA games.
Steve Francis is not going to get traded. He's vaulauble for us in terms of the expiring contract and or the possibility that he may come back and contribute. It's either he contributes for us or nobody. The good thing is all the other GM's in the league know this as well.
