I don't think the Heat will make that trade.

As of now Tmac is only a little bit better than Marion. But Beasley >>>> Scola.

Ok I am bored :( So try this.

I have heard GWallace is looking for a trade or either Charlotte is trying to unloosen the contract. Same with Drew Gooden. Since Bobacts were interested in Landry it might work for them? But do the Bulls want another SF?

Anyways, flame me or teach me.

    Head to Bulls (Rockets)

    Wallace to Bulls (Bobcats)

    Gooden to Bobcats (Bulls)

    Noah to Rockets (Bulls)

Now I would assume we might have to add a pick, 2 round.

    But basically ESPN checker approved.
    Bulls: almost even
Bobcats: saves 2.3 mil this year with an expiring contract
Rockets: spends .3 mil more this year

not sure if this would work but..
    artest+francis+head for billups

    billups
    tmac
    battier
    scola
    yao

i could very well see that line up work. i've never thought of billups as a fast paced guy which would complement well with yao and tmacs declining age. billups an efficient player and a great decision maker.

thats basically Artest for Billups which I don't see Denver wanting Artest that much? Giving up a starter for a 6th man (Carmelo)

    Ron Artest
    Steve Francis

    for

    Mike Miller

Miller will help our spacing issues and is a great passer who will have no trouble fitting in especially since he's very familiar with TMac and Battier's games. Brent Barry has been a total failure so far and we need the perimeter shooting to keep defenses honest. Mike Miller, imho, plays like a bigger Mike Bibby and can easily bring the ball up for the Rockets. After this trade we definitely improve chemistry and outside shooting without materially changing our 22 win streak team from last year. This also frees up $2.08 Mill in the effort to try and re-sign Deke.

PG: Rafer Alston | Aaron Brooks
SG: Tracy McGrady | Mike Miller
SF: Shane Battier | Mike Miller
PF: Luis Scola | Carl Landry
CN: Yao Ming | Dikembe Mutombo | Chuck Hayes

Bench: Luther Head, Von Wafer, Joey Dorsey

BTW, anyone that has seen McGrady play with Mike Miller knows they have great chemistry together.

i agree, miller could be had with a package of potential and picks, that would mean they'd want landry and or brooks + picks...

This doesnt make sense because its not a multi team trade, its two separate trades. You basically have a Head for Noah trade, and a Wallace for Gooden trade. So the bulls would have to decide each trade made them better. So as far as the Rox go it would be Head for Noah, and the Bulls are not going to trade a big man who plays, for a small guard who rides the bench.

This is something Morey should have in mind when making big trades:

    How did you get Tmac?

    Magic get:
Steve Francis(Got dents from then on)
    Kelvin Cato
    Cuttino Mobley

    Rockets Get:
    Tmac(learned how to pass)
    Juwan Howard
    Tyronn Lue
    Reece Gaines

What other maricles can we make?

    Think about it

    Successful Trade Scenario
    Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to Houston and L.A. Clippers being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and L.A. Clippers had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

What do you guys think about a Camby for Head or Francis and Battier trade?

Im not sure what I think about it, but I think both sides would consider it, unlike the Camby offer from the poster above for Head, Francis and Alston.

Why the Rox do it: I would hate to lose Battier, but it would give us a great backup to Yao who is on a reasonable contract, 8 million this year and just under 8 million next year. The trade if it was Battier and Head cuts about 400K in salary this year, and even more if its Francis instead of Head. I think it boils down to who the Rox think is more likely to get injured, Tmac or Yao. If Yao goes down, Camby can play big minutes. More importantly, if Yao opts out 2010, the Rox literally have no one guaranteed under contract that summer other then Landry. We would have the same opportunity as the Knicks. Course, I would still think keeping Yao is priority #1.

Why the Clippers do it: They are overloaded with big men (Kaman, Camby, Randolph) and need help at SG. Battier could play SG and so could Head. More importantly, it gives them a locker room leader in Battier which would help that team a lot.

Again, Im not sure if I would do it. Artest has hardly been stellar and would Camby find the court much if Yao doesnt get hurt? Plus Battier just seems great for this team.

We could win the West with point guard, like Jameer Nelson. I didn't know he would turn out this good.

This is about the post season, not regular. Artest is going to pay huge dividend in the post season, mike miller is a soft jump shooter than can't defend, nor create a shot. That's not what the rox are going to need going forward.

T-Mac needs to trade 15 pounds of soft fat in for some restored vertical.

Glad to see everybody is jumping on my Marcus Camby idea. ;) Best scenario is he demands a buyout then we start courting him the second it's legally possible. Camby would pay HUGE dividends but at the same time I don't want to give up Battier to get him and that's pretty much the only way this deal goes down.

Minnesota is another team with potential for us to deal with. They have a lot of damaged goods with small, manageable contracts that could be useful to us: Calvin Booth, Randy Foye, Corey Brewer.

Booth kind of sucks but his acquisition would be for obvious reasons: 6'11", one year contract at $1.7/M.

Foye has been disappointing so his value is probably low. Regardless, he's still big (6'4"), athletic and can shoot. He shot 41% last year from long range. He plays smart and is a good defender. He would have instant potential to replace Rafer provided he was a good fit.

Brewer could be a good option for depth given the uncertainty behind T-Mac's health. He's young and still has upside. Maybe a new coach could do wonders for him? It's worth trading Luther Head or whoever to find out.

I've been making up Camby trade scenarios for at least two years...

In any case, under no circumstances should we trade Battier.

From my point of view, untradeable players are (in that order):

Yao - face of the franchise, unique player that gives you a shot at a title
Battier - still underrated by so many, even on this board, great value for money
    Scola - outstanding bargain
Landry - young talent, locked up at reasonable price for years
    Brooks - see Landry

Other players I would not trade, unless you get an offer you cannot refuse:

Artest - great player, and we haven't even seen him together with Battier yet, hasn't given us any reason to doubt that he will be a good teammate
T-Mac - still an outstanding talent, unlikely that you would get similar talent in return, given all his issues
Barry - he is just what we need and you would not get equal value in return
Hayes - great defender, great value for the money

    That leaves as tradeables:

Head - needs to go, nice guy, but has worn out his welcome with playoff choking twice in a row
Francis - unless he comes back and surprises everyone, he is only an expiring contract by now
Dorsey - would be great to see how he can develop, but the PF spot is covered very well, and he lacks the height to play C
Wafer - could always be used as a throw-in to make salaries match
Alston - he is just too frustrating to watch and his shooting is horrible

I think our best bet will be a team that realizes it is going nowhere - let's pluck talent from them they don't see in their future.

    That means players like

    Camby
    Mike Miller
    Kyle Lowry
    Sergio Rodriguez

One player I would love to get is Ramon Sessions.

I believe players like Mike Bibby and Ramon Sessions will be free agents after this season.
