Just because of value wise, I think it makes more sense for the blazers. I was trying to make a trade that realistically could benefit both teams. And alston has no trade value, and t-mac does but might not be enough for all that was given, so brooks would be to sweeten the deal. I like him too, but its how trade works and it makes sense since we are getting blake and Bayless who i would prefer over brooks back.
I think thats the worst trade proposal ever....have you even seen O'Neal this season? He is overweight and coming off an injury. Also, someone wrote an article recently about the fact that NO big man in NBA history has ever had their numbers drop like O'neal's have the last few years and then returned to their old form.
TMac for Starbury. Let's admit that TMac is not going to be able to finish his contract healthy. Get $21 million relief a year early. Fill some holes next year or wait to get into the Lebron sweepstakes. Tmac sits a year and NY maybe gets something for nothing.

My version of this is: Raptors get: Yao Ming Rafer Alston Rockets get: Chris Bosh Jason Kapono Jamario Moon Future Ist Round Pick Cash Considerations The last part may sound ridicoulous but that should make sure the trade works. I like getting first round picks all the time.
Celtics get: Rafer Alston Chuck hayes Aaron brooks Rockets get: Kendrick Perkins Rajon rondo J.R. Giddens Gabe Pruitt cash compensation. It was pretty much Alston for Perkins. Perkins gives us rebounds. Rondo is the exclaimation that should be worth trading. Giddens is somebody I threw in the there. Pruitt is a little evil and I want him! Cash should give us a possible chance to get Mutombo. It sounds bad for us but actually unfair for the Celtics somewhat.
I feel this team doesn't work. THe rockets are screwed. Seriously. Getting out of the 1st round is a success in my opinion for a team of this caliber. THere is no way in hell rockets win the west this year. Lakers are just a step ahead of everybody.
