Good trade idea. We dont have what it takes really to be a championship team if Tracy doesn't play consistently. Morey even said it, he probably will struggle with his knee the whole year and if that's the case then we aren't going to do much in the playoffs when teams really start playing lockdown defence. He just disappears way to often in games and when he has good games its usually from hot streaks, not him imposing his will. This is the main problem on the team, even more than our PG issue but many people refuse to admit it. What's da good in a "superstar scorer" if he can get it done night in night out?

We lost this game cause for our lack of offense but I have to give it to Aaron Brooks. With a bad shooting night, he still managed to get 14 pts and led the team in assist and REBOUNDS! Also props to Artest for getting on off his shooting slump finally.

why would the nets do this........they'll be way under the cap come 2010 anyway, and carter's a lot more dependable than tmac these days.

They can surround Lebron with a couple of more lottery picks.

Um this isn't true at all. Tracy's detractors have consistently wanted him OUT.

    Vince > Tmac why?
He has a much more consistent jumper (mainly from the 3pt line) and still has the ability to get to the basket and finish with a dunk better than most guards in the league.

If this trade were to somehow happen. We would get Vince Carter, which to me, he's a more consistent scorer then his cousin Tracy and Yi which he's a great up and coming player and a teammate of Yao in the CNT.

    Lineup...

    Alston/Brooks
    Carter/Barry/Head
    Artest/Battier
    Landry/Yi/Chuck
    Yao/Deke

Who else can we get for Tmac? Getting someone like Kobe, Lebron, or Wade for Tracy is out of the question so it looks pretty good to me. NJ gets Tmac with a contract that expires in 2010 much which gives them more cap space to sign Lebron much like the A.I and Billups trade. Fair Trade...

    Regarding this trade:

I dont think we need vince or yi for this team to be able to win a championship. We need a true PG. A PG that can defend, shoot, and create shots for others (yao and ron) aka Chauncey Billups (one of the rare breed PGs in the league). Vince will not do much better than Tmac on this team and Yi = Total Bust.

We need a true PG and a taller PF to backup Yao on the inside. AB is good, but he is more of a SG stuck in a tiny PG body. That will be no good. He is a great as a scoring spark off the bench. Scola and Landry are great players. I am not taking nothing away from them, but they are way undersized. Come playoff time, Gasol, Duncan, and even David West will rock them everytime. Who can we deal with?

TMAC is the softest "star" player in the NBA. If anything Yi = TMAC in toughness, and that's not a compliment.

Unless we're in the eighth or under seed at the half-season mark, there is no way that management will break up the big three experiement.

However, the trade is very sound. Carter may be a dog, but he's shown to possess desire on a winning team, especially one where he's among a series of superstars. He will score 20+ a game every night, opposed to T-MAc's once-in-awhile 30 point explosion. The Yi trade is weak, but at least it's good marketing.

Scola is a more solid player than Yi.
